Belmont stakes
Another year, no Triple Crown winner. What a muddy track. Did anybody go?

Is the problem
KW is the main guy poisoning everything here. Micromanaging everything and everybody, dumb trades, spies in the clubhouse, flipping over buffet tables. JM hasn't helped either. He didn't stand up to KW and he now manages poorly and without the slightest bit of passion. Both need to go. This season didn't need to go this way.

Wood vs Clemens
Earlier the play by play guy, it's Joe Buck isn't it, said that Sosa was "everything that's right about baseball." :puke As much as I dislike the yanks they have always had a commitment to winning.

Wood vs Clemens
The yanks ruined many a day for me as a kid, but the cubs have overtaken everybody on my baseball enemies list. I just loathe every thing about them and that whole Wrigley scene. Too bad they both can't lose today.

Wood vs Clemens
Root for the White Sox and whoever plays the cubs.

Is the problem
This is my experience as an old fart on this board. In the business world I've found that leadership in any company or organization sets the tone. It's just not possible to have a successful organization without the right leadership, bosses, etc. Rotten imcompetent leadership causes demoralization which leads to the kind of results we're seeing now with the Sox. The White Sox were the surprise team of MLB in 2000 (seems so long ago now). Three years later not just the team but the entire organization seems in shambles.

This is really beautiful isn't it? Good nite everybody. Hope all can sleep well.- "Corkless bats don't send the ball as far as
Look at 61 and then compare it to the rest of his career. You know we traded him after the 59 pennant year along with a bunch of other prospects for short term help.- Sox considered bringing up Miles
At this point I would take a potted plant over KW.- 1983 vs 2003
This team does not remind me at all of 83. I don't think they were ever 8 below .500. They went 50-16 to finish the season. The starting pitching was awesome and lots of clutch hitting. They were good and lots of fun, especially when they got on that end of season roll. Best Sox team in my lifetime, I'll say it again.- June 6 game thread
You're right. He's completely lost the ability to make good decisions. I used to like the way he used the bullpen.- June 6 game thread
- WhiteSox History...
I don't know about anybody else but I think it's great. Where did you find this stuff?- Sheffield and Pedro
I think I'm going to pass out the next time I hear someone actually admit guilt and be man enough to accept the consequences. I'm oh so tired of excuses, especially playing the "race card". It's obvious the weight of the world would come crashing down on JR if he decided to can KW and JR on the same day. Sorry, that's the way I see it. By the way, they both need canned and the sooner the better. How's things going in LA, I think I'll go to the game thread now.- Bears talking to Griese
Give Rex a chance if only because the alternative (Kordell) is so bad. Believe me Bear fans Kordell is not the answer.- Whats Everyone's Favorite Sox Team?
I agree. I thought they were set to compete for another 5+ years.- Crede
Good Lord what happened to Crede and Konerko?- A sox win????
Marte can occasionally go a couple of innings. Glad JM saw it that way last nite.- Commentary: Possible May Flowers Wilt Away
Belated congrats, you're really getting the hang of this. Keep writing.- Grace & Sosa
What a weak pathetic puff piece. Poor poor Sammy, the spinning is incredible. I think his supporters may get him canonized while he's still alive. - I Love the 80's
