I need a haircut. I've been going to my barber ever since I can remember. However, he has been cutting back on his hours the past couple years and its hard to find a good time to go so I've been looking for a good alternative for a while now. I've tried a few different places... I don't like franchise places too much.

This reminds me of Chris Rock's electric chair joke on one of his standups. "If I had the choice between the electric chair and tossing a salad, I'd say, so where do you plug it in?" I have no clue what I would say though.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) My family had to put my dog to sleep tonight while I'm away at school. I'm a wreck. Sorry to hear that man, hang in there. I lost one of my dogs last winter and my other dog's time is coming soon at this point and I don't even want to think about it. It hurts to have to make that decision even when you know its for the best.

I want to see what the consensus is with this. Last night I met a chick. She showed interest (caught her looking at me a few times before we talked, smiling at me frequently, when we actually met she asked me a bunch of questions, etc). We talked for a little while. Then she kinda just leaves and we only talk a little bit after that. I took that as her interest in me went down and that was that. I didn't ask her for her number. I thought I did the right thing by not pursuing her further and didn’t really second guess myself after because of the way she left, but a friend told me I should've asked for her number because she was interested and that guys have to make the move. I didn't because lately I've been thinking if a girl wants to see me again she will continue talking to me and give me some sort of an opening to ask her for her number. Her leaving sort of abruptly made me think she didn’t want to see me again so I didn't ask. So, was I right for not pursuing her or do you think my friend was right and I should’ve? I’ll keep the responses in mind for future reference…

Anyone hear the new Kings of Leon? I give it a 3/5 right now.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) What's wrong with the EVO? I love mine. Nothing, I'm probably going to get it, but it was released in June. At the rate in which these phones are coming out these days it seems like there may be a new one around the corner.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 01:09 PM) Isn't there a 4G Samsung phone available on Sprint? Yeah, the Epic, but its basically the same as the Evo except with a keyboard.
-
Are there any new Android 4G phones rumored for Sprint? I'm beyond ready to upgrade from my Android 1.6 phone, but the Evo's been out, going on 5 months now.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) Has anyone else had a sh*tload of problems lately with Adobe Flash crashing randomly? Not anymore than usual... which is more than tolerable.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 03:24 PM) I believe I know what you're getting at. It is a close friend, and she's a 6 or 7. Not worth it What he should've asked is how serious are you with your girlfriend.

AND THAT'S A MINNESOTA TWINS ALDS LOSER!!!!!
Whitewashed in '05 replied to chetkincaid's topic in The Diamond Club
I think I'm going to be lynched by both for being indecisive. I usually root for the Twins win because I'd like to feel better about my team since they constantly kicks our ass, but I am just so damn tired of rooting for a team that s***s the bed every time they make the playoffs. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 11:38 AM) F*ck me, Todd Collins starts Sunday. Is there a reason Collins gets the nod over Hanie? Collins is f***ing horrid. -
I'll be graduating in the spring of 2011 with a degree in IT and will probably be looking for a new job. I haven't really thought of where I'll be applying since it's still a while away. Been thinking more about what exactly I want to do.

QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 12:39 PM) per Rotoworld: Justin Morneau (concussion) has been shut down for the rest of the year. Morneau did not suffer a setback, the Twins simply decided against rushing him back. The big first baseman suffered a concussion in early July and did not play in a single game beyond the All-Star break. He finished 2010 with a great .345/.437/.618 batting line, 18 homers and 56 RBI over 81 games. Oct. 4 - 12:45 pm et I didn't know a concussion could affect someone that much. Sucks for him.

Going to miss you Nancy!! Thanks for being part of our sox memories!! Have a great retirement!

QUOTE (3E8 @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 11:49 PM) Oh my f***. It went to the 3rd deck. In Target Field. Maybe the longest homer I've seen this year http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...84&c_id=mlb Aaand I now love Jose Bautista That one from Branyan on Javy Vazquez was a missile too.
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) After tonight's game, Jose Bautista has 54 home runs. Of those 54, 53 of them have been pulled, in some manner. His final homer of the night tonight was his first homer of the year to RF. He ABSOLUTELY OBLITERATED that ball on the grand slam.

QUOTE (elgonzo4sox @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) Viciedo, if he could get more consistent with the bat, add a little more power, and learn how to draw walks, is more like the second coming of Frank Thomas - a potentially great hitter, but a suspect fielder. He will never be a Morel or Crede at third base - first base / DH is definitely his best shot at playing time. Ideally we'd have Konerko and Viciedo on the roster next year to play 1B/DH, with Konerko getting more time at 1B until Viciedo can improve his fielding more. I think you're going out on a limb on that one a little bit... just a little bit. -

One thing that ozzie said that is true is that no one will replace the passion that he and his coaching staff have to make the white sox organization a winner. I agree, most of our coaches have been with the organization for a very long time and were with us as players. That being said, I don't think that's the only factor to winning.

QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 22, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) Drugs. Get something from the doc to knock you out for most of the flight. Flying is such a pain in the ass and I can't sleep for more than 2 hours, if I'm lucky. A 4 hour flight has me aching everywhere and I'm not even a big guy.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 03:27 PM) Yep, it was the batter before Konerko's infamous grand slam. He didn't put on a show though. He just looked at the ump and took a step forward and the ump rewarded him first.

I am getting so tired of the Twins kicking our ass year in and year out. I know everyone agrees, but I just had to say it. Every f***ing year. -
QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 15, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) I went with the Samsung Galaxy (Vibrant on T-Mo). So far I am liking the phone. I've been with T-Mo for about six years and have never really had a problem. They took care of my crappy Dash several times. I have to say Tmobile has excellent customer service.
