  1. Damn I brought this thread into hell.... I'm sorry Josh.
  2. Jerry Manuel's gone. That's a great start.
  3. It's official on the IU website now:
  4. He's not going anywhere.
  5. I'm starting to like the Atlanta trade a little bit, but what the f*** is this about Robbie Alomar? WHY????
  6. I haven't looked at the rest of Ponson's numbers, but some of those could be decent. Freddy Garcia's 4-7 w/ his league-leading 3.20 ERA; sometimes a pitcher's record is overrated. However, the whole Orioles team isn't playing so hot right now. Did anyone catch the game they played on Sunday against Atlanta? The Orioles were up 7-0 in the 8th inning, and lost the game 8-7.
  7. I like what Willie brings to the table too. I think this is a great problem for the team to have though. When we're having problems deciding who will be the 3rd OFer when Mags gets back, and we hae a constant shuffle of Jose, Juan, and Willie starting at SS and 2B.
  8. Isn't that something if we could be in 1st place or better when Mags comes back? I think we were 2 back when he went on the DL. I just wanted the team to maintain that kind of gap to hang in there until Mags came back. Nice job Sox!
  9. I'm not too concerned about Scho losing his starting spot; I feel it'll be his when he comes back. However, I hope Diaz does continue to make this a tough decision for the team. I love the news I continue to hear about us already into contract talks with Freddy Garcia; if we get him signed, we have won this trade.
  10. 1985 was also a great year for other reasons. Me! I really enjoy reading these little snippets Josh, I appreciate them!
  11. I'd be lying if I said anything else too. Timo's a monster!
  12. Gammons mentioned we have 27 HRs between Uribe and Jose....The most by any DP combo in MLB.
  13. I don't care if he gives up 400 runs against the Cubs on Sunday, as long as we get the win. Besides, this game against the Twins is much more important to the White Sox season. As it is 2 games in the standings compared to the 1 game in the standings we get in the Cubs games.
  14. Again, I'll be at work, and I REALLY want to see Garcia's debut in the ChiSox uni. I hope he does well and we finally get Garcia that well-deserved run support he was lacking Seattle. Let's do it Sox!
  15. Shingo Takatsu.
  16. People might start to catch on, but the Japanese League is the closest to MLB outside of America, and Shingo saved 200+ games there. They obviously never caught on in Japan.
  17. What movie ended up being #1 on the ESPN25 list?
  18. Happy Belated! Where are you headed off to next year? I'll be going to IU; I just had orientation last Monday and Tuesday. I had such a blast; I can't wait until the fall now.
  19. Welcome, and good post. You have to love what KW's doing. He's really one of the best GM's in the game; imagine what the guy would do if he had a Cubs payroll.
  20. Randy Johnson recorded his 4000th K tonight against SD.
  21. Hoosiers. Though it's not the same today, my HS was 2 games away from making it to the Indiana state finals this year. I felt as if I were part of the movie watching them play.
