  1. i think if you wait a couple of days or use a different credit card you don't have to change your request. www.betterbidding.com --- this will tell you what bids people typically get accepted for most cities and city regions christ my gas stinks
  2. is it just me or does frank suck in this game? he's the weak link in my lineup... hell willie is outplaying him.

    Coffee Makers

http://www.esalton.com/control/product/~product_id=MEMB1B I bought this about 18 months ago. It mills whole beans and then brews, all in one machine, plus a timer. I've had zero problems and it makes great coffee. I got it at amazon for 50-55 bucks. I think the house smells better.

  7. i don't see many bulls games not living in the chicago area. is this nocioni dude always this awful? or was this an off game? i can't believe he was getting 4th quarter time over deng.
  8. Seems the Sox undervalue Lee too.... From chicagosports.com Maybe I'm misreading this, but it sounds like the Sox think Konerko has more trade value than Lee. There's no way I give up Lee unless we get Unit.

  10. i've got a thing for rachael ray yeah not supermodel hot annoying cooks also, kirsten dunst is ugly bulimia-induced tooth decay
  11. Natalie Portman, despite being like 4 feet tall, is absolutely gorgeous. In her new movie "Closer", she plays a stripper. It's also a pretty good movie. But oh man jesus f***ing christ jesus f***ing christ
  12. The powerhouse that is Korean biomedical research… :headshake OK, there MIGHT be some potential in adult stem cell therapy or cord blood therapy. But, the numbers just don’t add up. You simply can’t get anywhere near the number of cells needed to treat a large number of people from either of these sources. Using their example, to treat the 400,000 MS patients in the U.S. would probably need something, and this is a complete guess, like 20,000,000 cords. These aren’t totipotent cells, so they’re not as versatile and don’t replicate well. There have been reports like this before, and soon enough the authors have to retract their findings because they realize they mistook something for something else. It boggles my mind why people are willing to spend so much money on researching therapies (like adult stem cells) that, even if they produce optimal results, come nowhere near having the potential of embryonic stem cells. As a student in a stem cell laboratory, s*** like this from uninformed individuals pisses me off. I should add that I'd love to be wrong. It'd be great to not have to deal with the moral issue of embryonic stem cells.
  13. Looks like the Scrubs will get these two back. $8 million seems a reasonable price for a year of Nomar's services.

    Worst Books

Joseph Heller's Catch 22 maybe not the worst, but the most overrated. i can't get past page 100 and i've tried 3 times.
  15. renteria loves st. louis, and i don't blame him... -105 win team -perennial playoff contenders with arguably baseball's best offense -distinct possiblity of adding randy johnson to 105 win team -best fans in baseball -new stadium opening soon what incentive is there to leave, especially to go to the perpetually underachieving southside of chicago? i think the sox would have to offer a significantly better contract to land him... at least an extra 2mil per season or an extra season... i'd be shocked if he ended up with us. i hope to be shocked.
  16. For reference's sake, Paul Wilson (he of the 4.36 ERA, 1.39 WHIP in the NL) just resigned with Cincy for 2 years at 8.2 mill. That makes a Wright signing at 5.5 a year look pretty good, injury potential aside.
  17. santorum.... anyone read dan savage's column? frothy
  18. Don't forget that 6 mill of Unit's contract this season is deferred. So we're actually left (assuming we don't include cash in the deal) with a bit of payroll relief. Hell, give E-Lo a mill to fill the No. 5 spot. I'd be pleased.
  19. CNN is saying the Dem's defense is that it's just a cumulative count of how many votes the machines have taken in the past. Not that there are votes for Bush or Kerry. It was probably used for the last midterm election.
  20. Don't forget Azumah is going to be around a couple more years. He's no slouch on defense either. I like.
  21. I'm probably wrong, but I thought that prior to offering arbitration, teams can work out contracts at any salary. Even once arbitration has been offered by the team and accepted by the player, but prior to appearing before the arbitrator, they can work out a deal for any salary. Once the case reaches an arbitration hearing, then the salary must be no less than a 20% decrease in salary. I can't find the official rules anywhere, but I thought this was the case.
