  1. Ya, her and Tony both mentioned that they added more seats in a few sections of the park.
  2. QUOTE(Cali @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:48 AM) Thrice - Vheissu Wow. Been listening to this thing non-stop since I "obtained" a copy of the not yet relased album. (Don't worry just like W, God told me to "obtain" this album, so it's cool) It's pretty different from they're last effort "The Artist in the Ambulance", very moody and atmospheric, but the heavy parts are in there, and they lyrics are very much Thrice-like. Fav Tracks So far: "The Earth Will Shake" "For Miles" "Music Box" "Hold Fast Hope" I can't wait for that CD to come out. Been waiting for a new Thrice album for a long time.
  3. The owner of Soxtalk and FutureSox...now quick, someone convince the Sox to fly all the mods/admins into Chicago (or chauffeur them to Chicago). We'll gladly throw out a first pitch Warning: We are not responsible for any fan that is hit when Southsider throws the ball 15 feet over the catchers head.
  4. The DNA test is part of the qualifying offer the Bulls made. If it were to be rescinded (the Knicks deal) than Curry would sign the qualifying offer and than take the Bulls to an arbitrator saying that that clause in the contract is a violation of his rights.
  5. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) Jason, open up the page as big as your screen - the ordering stuff is on the right hand side of that page. I'm really retarded today or something...I just got through and purchased it via the phone. I looked at some old pics and he's used #41 previously so I think he'll stick with that number. Now hopefully he sticks with the Sox and turns into a stud. By the way, XL, holy cripes...I got a medium and I think I'm taller than you
  6. Purchased...Brandon McCarthy #41 The hell if he changes numbers.
  7. Darn it, can't get a hold of them via the phone and don't have a clue how to buy it through there web page. I click the buy now button and it just shows me a picture of both jerseys.
  8. Sick, I'm gonna go with the home vest. I got a gray road (my personal fav), a white pinstripes, and now I think I'll go for the vest. I think its gonna be Arow or the big hurt.
  9. I just gotta think of who I want it of. I got a Konerko and Buehrle. I'd love to get an AJ one, but I'm also a huge Crede/Rowand fan. Plus tempting to get a Bmac jersey, but his number may change in the future.
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:28 AM) I know a lot, and a lot more ST holders that did it. We've sold our tix for the Yankees series and I think a lot of ticket holders with multiple tickets sell there seats to recoup some of the costs of both the season and playoffs. If you have 4 seats, you could just go 2 to every game and sell the other two and end up paying off all your playoff tickets (which are pretty expensive and I think every stadium has the same price because MLB governs it) and than even recoup some of the season fees, all while you get to watch every playoff game you want. Trust me, its not all brokers. I think the big problem was there was a server issue at Ticketmaster and for once it wasn't a server issue caused by me.
  11. I was watching, nervous as hell and bitter of Pods ab. I was busy mumbling to myself (with my mom looking at me as if I were crazy) "pick up Scotty right here Gooch" and than bam its hit, I sit there waiting (I'm thinking oh s*** thats gone, yes yes, but don't want to go insane only to see it caught). Than I see it clear the fence and I just launch out of the Sofa yelling yes yes yes, and start pointing you the man gooch and than proceed to run around the downstairs a bit yelling(my mom was even getting into it).
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Well...the good news for me thus far is that on Ebay, a single ticket for an Angels ALCS game is going for less than $100. Man...if we win 1 more game I'm snapping one of those up. I'm pulling for the Angels. If so I can comfortably sit in my seats in Anaheim, LOL. I'm gonna be going ape s*** if another release gets scheduled for US Cellular though (not willing to say what the release is for yet). Come on White Sox..lets win one more in Boston and than move on to the next round
  13. He had a couple rough runs, but stepped up and got through it. It was awesome how he hugged Tadahito after he hit that 3 Run homer to give the Sox the lead. That was just cool. Now lets keep the pressure on...one game at a time Chicago. Lets go get em on Friday!!!
  14. I wasn't at last nights game, but I can vouch for Anaheim fans. They show up a little late, but they've gotten pretty good at getting loud. In fact, I was never at a louder stadium than when they were in the playoffs and eliminated the Yankees a couple years ago (that was insane). I remember the only time you could even hear anyone was when there was a break in the action (ie in between innings). I had to sell my seats for the 1st round (3 tests this week and a major project due, so I couldn't be distracted...only time off was to watch the Sox game). If they make game 5 I'll be there though.
  15. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Thanks. I got home at 9PM and had to watch the game since I missed it due to work. Anyway, going to the Hawks game tomorrow, so I'll get a Garcia banner up late tomorrow. Going to see em play the Ducks ehh (should be a good game). I'm looking forward to when they come into Anaheim this year.
  16. Good stuff Steve and looks like you guys had some solid seats (nice pictures from the game too). You guys are going back tomorrow right? Hopefully you bring the same kind of luck back to the park tomorrow
  17. Welcome aboard and awesome pic
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) From a couple douches to another... thomas is not really liked around the league. He's going to be in for a shocker when he meets Skiles. If Skiles can't get his ass in gear, no one can. This has the potential to turn into a pretty high profile move (Tim Thomas has always had the tools) or it could turn into a disaster to where the Bulls will just unload him to any taker out there (luckily he's only here for a year at the most if he does stink). You know Skiles is the type of guy that will knock a player and really point out his flaws (to the player) in order to help the guy get better. Its why he's such a damn good coach.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) Mike james is a very good defender. He is actually kinda known for it. Shows what I know. I'm just basing it on the handful of games I saw him play in and I saw him burned defensively. I've always been kind of impressed with Alston though. So chalk one up for me in the wrong column
  20. Damn sorry guys, but this is a bad week. I'm gonna be back hard at work with FS starting next week, but I have 3 midterms this week, plus the Sox in the playoffs (and if there is a game 5, I'm gonna catch the Angels Yanks game) so I pretty much got all non-watching time spent on studying (and my Saturday afternoon football/soccer league).
  21. QUOTE(SS Gload @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) ESPN HD is awesome, this week is gonna rule, having the sox whoop some bosox tail on hd and then watch my buckeyes take on penn state at happy valley in HD. For college football are they actually broadcasting in Full HD? I know Notre Dame is (when they are on NBC) and those games are flat sick. I haven't watched one on ESPN yet, but I have noticed how CBS and ABC don't broadcast college games in Full HD (where its in 1080i). They should though and I'm slowly noticing more of the stations getting HD feeds (if only I could get the comcast high def feed...drools).
  22. Thanks for the kind words wiredawg. That was a good battle down the stretch and right now I'm focused on this year, but when the off-season roles around (hopefully with the Sox wearing a ring) I'm definately gonna be looking at the Indians. They have quite a few key free agents (millwood and most of there pen) but they definately have a great nucleus and are going to once again be a big time rival of the Sox (and I have to believe the Twins will also rebound, they were ravaged with injuries this year). The AL Central is no longer the doormat of the AL, in fact, I think its got a shot to be one of the best divisions in all of baseball the next couple years. Once again thanks for the kind words and hopefully you'll stop by along the way and in the off-season to discuss baseball with fellow baseball fans
  23. QUOTE(SS Gload @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) I DVR'd it, so i have the game saved on my cable box. I don't know how i could transport it to you though. It would be cool to get though because its in HD too. How sweet is that HD feed. I specifically went over to my moms watch to watch the game cause she has HD. Man was it beautiful. ESPN rarely does there games in full HD so its gonna be sweet with the entire playoffs in real HD.
  24. QUOTE(sufferingsoxfan @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) You probably won't believe this but I caught Paulie's just barely foul ball in the 1st. I understand that this was on the espn feed and that i was featured. Does anyone have a tape or tivo of the game. I would appreciate a copy of it, Thanks and go White Sox!! Oh ya, you were on there. Wish I recorded it for ya, but I'm guessing someone here DVR'd it. Nice grab, you were going insane with your buddy. Heck the whole area was going crazy.
