  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) That's awesome, Jason. You actually got to hang ou in the dugout? So f***in cool. Not in the dugout...in the seats by the dugout. There were at least 3000 of us there all going crazy and cheering for the Sox. Jurassic came out and sprayed the fans with champagne, it was so sweet.
  2. I will be there. Flight is booked and I just hope to hell I can find a ticket.
  3. Single greatest sports moment of my life. The game was freaking awesome. Just finally got home. When the game ended I gave my dad the biggest hug in my life. Shook the hand of a few Angel fans near me and than just starred with my hat on half sideways (after almost throwing it in excitement) for about 5 minutes. Finally made it down to the dugout and started cheering like hell for 45-50 minutes. Bumped into Trev (Hi8is) during the celebration and was just giving Sox fans all over high 5's. The game was totally awesome, from pre game BP (watching it with Hi8is, Whitesoxmgr, WhiteSoxMurph, CalWSide (Ron)). It was totally sweet. My voice is officially long gone. Greatest game in my life and I hope it will be topped on Saturday. When we left the stadium first thing I saw was a huge lightning bolt streaking across the sky. WAY TO GO SOX, WAY TO FREAKING GO!!!! 4 MORE WINS!!!!!
  4. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) im in 102 fellas! lets meet up at BP again. right field fowl pole. see you crazy mother f***ers there! GO MOTHER FDUCKERSW GO!!! Hell ya...see you all there. RF foul pole...Ill be wearing an 83 White Sox sweatshirt and a Bears hat.
  5. Another awesome game. Great meeting up with Trevor, Steve (BamaDoc), and Kent (whitesoxmgr) as well as Steve's kid (who already has a huge passion for the Sox). Total blast. After the game we all were back down by the dugout (saw ya hi8is and whitesoxmgr but couldn't get up to you where you guys were). It was packed with about 2-3 times more Sox fans than Friday night. Not quite as loud as the 1st night, be we had a lot of 5 more game chants...Lets Go White Sox chants and than a short Freddy chant. Freaking awesome game by Freddy and the bats did another great job early in the game getting the lead and taking the crowd out of the game. Also gotta give credit to Carl for stepping up with 2 big 2 out hits as well as Crede for a big 2 out 2 run single (for some insurance runs) as well as a couple really nice defensive plays. Uribe also flashed the leather out there. Can't wait for tomorrow's game. Jose will hopefully bring his A game and the bats will do their thing. Lets go White Sox!!!!
  6. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) what time are we meeting at hooters? what time does the gates open up for BP? Gates open about 3:00 or 3:30 at the front. I know whitesoxmgr is getting there right around 12:45-1:00 we'll either be there or at JT Schmidts (which is across the street). I'll shoot ya a PM right now Hi8is. Than we'll all go in for bp when it starts.
  7. Total freaking blast. Great meeting up with whitesoxmngr and all the other sox fans at hooters. It was totally awesome and than after the game we were all super loud down by the dugout chanting lets go white sox and were on tv. Totally freaking awesome. Garland was the freaking man and the offense came through. Can't wait till tomorrow's game. Hopefully Freddy can step it up and the bats will be able to figure Santana out this time around.
  8. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 11:03 AM) http://id1g1t.com/index.htm enjoy Gracias
  9. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:29 AM) If you're looking for a dive to go to, Waterworks in Lyons Il....Right off Harlem and 55...I'll be there and you can play the Go Go Sox song all night if you want. Was it you that posted that link to an online jukebox? If so, do you happen to have it handy, I've been looking all over but can't find the original post.
  10. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 10:34 AM) you mean like A-Row right before AJ came up? I was upset at Arow. Its the playoffs, run. It just so happened the very next AB the same situation came up and this time AJ ran. Turned out good for the Sox.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) I am looking really hard at local politics. Basically if I can find some kind of a support base, I am running for school board. We'll see if it goes anywhere. I'm gonna sell your posts to an adversary. I'm sure you've said something wrong in the past on here
  12. Irvine, California Lived in Southern California my whole life. Can't really say why I became a Sox fan. I originally started as both a Sox and Cub fan. I was able to get the games on WGN and just started watching. Slowly over time I started following the Sox more and more. I remember Black Jack and Robin being my 2 favorite players during the early 90's (along with the big hurt). Now I am only a Sox fan, don't care about the cubs (don't hate em either) and than the Angels come 2nd. Why the Sox and Chicago teams..I've always loved the city and my mom grew up there so when I was really young I would hear stories of the place. Than we visited it and I got to go to a Sox game (my 1st one in chicago) when I was 10 or 11 and I totally fell in love with the city. Been a fan since I was about 6, but I obviously wouldn't have known much about the game at that point.

I think the Yanks will probably offer him good money and it will be tough for Cooper to turn it down. That said, I've always thought of Coop as a company man. He's been in this organization a long time and had turned down our pitching coach job numerous times because he liked helping out the youngsters in the minors. I tend to agree with Tony's beliefs and that its going to be really hard for him to leave Chicago. Also, AJ has been great for this staff, but Coop has also been very good. He lets these guys relax and trust there stuff, which was a serious problem back when Nardi was running the show.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) Wait, Kap is white? I wonder if his mom knows? ROFL
  15. IIRC there is a strict rule in the Missouri area about scalping and the way people try to get around that is by selling some crappy baseball card and including 4 free tickets to the world series to see the Cardinals. So people will pay like 1200 bucks for a freaking Willie Harris card or whatever (if you had like 4 tix). DOn't know if that really makes it legal, but its what I remember seeing be done a few years back.
  16. I will say this...Fox HD blows ass compared to ESPN HD. Haven't ever watched a game on CBS HD. I just know that ESPN HD was way better on the Sox game than FoxHD. FoxHD is really grainy on the greens.
  17. Instant replay would be horrible for baseball.
  18. Right now I'd prefer that the White Sox go about things and win tomorrow. I don't care when it comes to the NL. I just want the White Sox to take this one game at a time and play there style of baseball. If they execute and play to their ability, we should be in good shape.
  19. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) meeting up for BP would be killer. lets do it i also like the hooters idea hooters ----> BP ----> WHITE SOX BABY! This is for Saturday right?
  20. Long Beach is pretty far from the stadium. Probably 20 miles. That said I know there is an amtrak station in the parking lot at anaheim. Mabe you can call them up and ask if there is a train. I think there is a train that goes to LAX or some sort of metro so I'm guessing the train would take you to LAX and than go from there.
  21. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) ok, its offical i have tickets for saturday sec. 521 where i was SPOSED to meet you last time amigo =P i wanna meet up before the game, just dont know if 1 will be too early for my dad or not... ill talk with him about it and let you know i like the idea of meeting in the park somewhere 7th inning strech? where? You guys want to all meet up in the UD or something or maybe in the lower bowl and watch batting practice? Thats cool with me. I think we'll be at the stadium at the latest by 3:30 ish. Glad you were able to find a ticket Travis.
  22. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) i want george costanza's yankee job. Lol, I loved when he would just sneak out of the office through the vents or however he did it.
  23. I probably should of just went into baseball. It could be something I end up regretting.
  24. Let me ask my dad (get back to you tonight if I can). He owns two of the seats so those tix are purely up to him. For Friday's game I got all 4 of them so I figured I'd have a couple of my friends go and than leave one for a Sox fan (one of my friends is what I'd like to call a cursed angel fan, whenever he goes they seem to lose, so I told him I expect him to bring the Angels bad luck). The other one of my buddies will be in a Sox jersey like me (he's not a diehard, but I'm slowly convincing him). I so can't wait. Going to work early tomorrow so I can get out around 1 so we'll probably be parked by 1:20-1:30.
