  1. Nice, just checked...won't be missing anything if I miss classes on that Monday or Tuesday (if I returned later)...just in case.
  2. I found cheap flights into Chicago and I know its tentatively scheduled to begin Saturday Oct 22nd at 8 (Game 1) and than game 2 would be on Sunday. But is there a chance they would start either earlier or later? Well I understand a rainout or two could cause the games to be later, but if both teams (hypothetically) swept, would they be able to bump up the start date of the world series or would each team just get a couple extra rest days?? Thanks, I just want to make sure before I book the airfare (its refundable so I figure I should do it now). Found it for 200 bucks roundtrip into Chicago from LA.
  3. Walker will be a free agent. No need to do anything with him, plus he's no longer on the 40 IIRC.

    I got facebook
  5. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) I havent shaved in like 5 days. I am not much of a facial hair guy, so I just look funny with this peach fuzz all over my face. Hell, I will just go as far as saying I do not look good at all with facial hair. I shaved the morning of the first playoff game and I'm not shaving till they are eliminated or win it all. If it worked for Damon and the Red Sox, why can't it work for me.
  6. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) you can stop belIeving now Good think you got the Irish to fall back on when it comes to Football
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) Well, I can't say its anything unexpected. This is Iowa State Football ® I didn't want this fact to be so, but the bright spot of this season is Iowa. Already. That's sad. Iowa is about the best team ISU will play all season, so they shouldn't feel bad about it. I just laugh at how much it means. I look more at an overall season as opposed to one win, but thats me and I guess it shows just how little I care about ISU. I care about the big boys like Michigan, OSU, Purdue, Wisconsin, etc.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) So ISU lost to Baylor. I stand by my comment that we need a QB. And I stand by my comment...when I told you they were way over-rated when they got into the top 25 based on that win against Iowa. Iowa is starting to figure things out too. Solomon stepped it up today in a big way and the defense looked a lot better. They may be a sleeper later in the season and while I dont' think they will finish top 10, they are a top 15 team and could even turn into a sleeper in the big 10.
  9. I can't believe it, the club did it. It played great baseball for 3 striaght games. The Sox made a couple errors at home due to some post-season jitters, but totally made up with it with clutch hitting and pitching. It was just tremendous. Aside from Marte I think every Sox player that got some action had an integral part of this first round win. I also think Boston played there butts off. I don't particularly like Boston fans, but hey, they are a good club with quite a few likeable players. That said, I just have to say what pieces of work Ortiz and Manny are. Those pricks should get hit next time the Sox play Boston in the regular season. I absolutely despise the way they show up the opposing team nad pitcher when they hit a homer. How about they take a look at Konerko, Uribe, or AJP at how a hitter does it with a little class. So I say f*** YOU to Manny and Big Papi
  10. I'm one of Uribe's biggest fans. I hope he keeps this up. Afterall, I was the nut who thinks he has the ability to turn into a Tejada like shortstop.
  11. I have bashed El Duque all season, but he ate his wheaties and pitched his ass of tonight. That performance alone was worth the contract the Sox gave him.
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) They are first row along the lines. George Ryan sat in them Tuesday, and some other big wigs Wednesday. They are for the elite guests. :rolly Better go wait by my phone for my invite
  13. Ya, her and Tony both mentioned that they added more seats in a few sections of the park.

QUOTE(Cali @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:48 AM) Thrice - Vheissu Wow. Been listening to this thing non-stop since I "obtained" a copy of the not yet relased album. (Don't worry just like W, God told me to "obtain" this album, so it's cool) It's pretty different from they're last effort "The Artist in the Ambulance", very moody and atmospheric, but the heavy parts are in there, and they lyrics are very much Thrice-like. Fav Tracks So far: "The Earth Will Shake" "For Miles" "Music Box" "Hold Fast Hope" I can't wait for that CD to come out. Been waiting for a new Thrice album for a long time.
  15. The owner of Soxtalk and FutureSox...now quick, someone convince the Sox to fly all the mods/admins into Chicago (or chauffeur them to Chicago). We'll gladly throw out a first pitch Warning: We are not responsible for any fan that is hit when Southsider throws the ball 15 feet over the catchers head.
  16. The DNA test is part of the qualifying offer the Bulls made. If it were to be rescinded (the Knicks deal) than Curry would sign the qualifying offer and than take the Bulls to an arbitrator saying that that clause in the contract is a violation of his rights.
  17. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) Jason, open up the page as big as your screen - the ordering stuff is on the right hand side of that page. I'm really retarded today or something...I just got through and purchased it via the phone. I looked at some old pics and he's used #41 previously so I think he'll stick with that number. Now hopefully he sticks with the Sox and turns into a stud. By the way, XL, holy cripes...I got a medium and I think I'm taller than you
  18. Purchased...Brandon McCarthy #41 The hell if he changes numbers.
  19. Darn it, can't get a hold of them via the phone and don't have a clue how to buy it through there web page. I click the buy now button and it just shows me a picture of both jerseys.
  20. Sick, I'm gonna go with the home vest. I got a gray road (my personal fav), a white pinstripes, and now I think I'll go for the vest. I think its gonna be Arow or the big hurt.
  21. I just gotta think of who I want it of. I got a Konerko and Buehrle. I'd love to get an AJ one, but I'm also a huge Crede/Rowand fan. Plus tempting to get a Bmac jersey, but his number may change in the future.
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:28 AM) I know a lot, and a lot more ST holders that did it. We've sold our tix for the Yankees series and I think a lot of ticket holders with multiple tickets sell there seats to recoup some of the costs of both the season and playoffs. If you have 4 seats, you could just go 2 to every game and sell the other two and end up paying off all your playoff tickets (which are pretty expensive and I think every stadium has the same price because MLB governs it) and than even recoup some of the season fees, all while you get to watch every playoff game you want. Trust me, its not all brokers. I think the big problem was there was a server issue at Ticketmaster and for once it wasn't a server issue caused by me.
  23. I was watching, nervous as hell and bitter of Pods ab. I was busy mumbling to myself (with my mom looking at me as if I were crazy) "pick up Scotty right here Gooch" and than bam its hit, I sit there waiting (I'm thinking oh s*** thats gone, yes yes, but don't want to go insane only to see it caught). Than I see it clear the fence and I just launch out of the Sofa yelling yes yes yes, and start pointing you the man gooch and than proceed to run around the downstairs a bit yelling(my mom was even getting into it).
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Well...the good news for me thus far is that on Ebay, a single ticket for an Angels ALCS game is going for less than $100. Man...if we win 1 more game I'm snapping one of those up. I'm pulling for the Angels. If so I can comfortably sit in my seats in Anaheim, LOL. I'm gonna be going ape s*** if another release gets scheduled for US Cellular though (not willing to say what the release is for yet). Come on White Sox..lets win one more in Boston and than move on to the next round
  25. He had a couple rough runs, but stepped up and got through it. It was awesome how he hugged Tadahito after he hit that 3 Run homer to give the Sox the lead. That was just cool. Now lets keep the pressure on...one game at a time Chicago. Lets go get em on Friday!!!
