So I had been wondering for a while if Chicago would make a push for the Bears in Bridgeport. Not sure if this is where it is getting at and I'm not saying it would be option 1 - I doubt Bears ownership would get over it - but they have land, infastructure, etc - could they do something unique here.

Part of me wonders if we see a trade - not for a lot - but does his agent work something behind scenes and get him somewhere for a conditional pick or something...if he plays maybe you get a 4th, if he doesn't, maybe it is a 7th. If I were another team - I might bite on the change of scenery move. That said - probably not happening due to his contract size.

I think I'm confused.

Glad they aren't rushing him. If it were me, he'd play in AAA until their season wrapped up. He's missed so much time - we got to give him ample time to better ready himself.

I’m fine with it - curious if it we would have gotten better via comp system but I can’t argue the logic - very clear coaching staff didn’t see him as a fit and better to get something for him than nothing. Curious if this DB ends up being a solid depth piece.

I can’t see him making it to the White Sox. Are players picked up in waivers in September eligible for the postseason?
