Twins at Sox 5/28: Thursday Matinee 1:10 CDT
Early to jump on Sandlin this quick - lets see what happens when he gets a few more starts under his belt. Great first outing though and if he can be even a middle of the rotation guy, that would be great value / great get for picking up Hicks contract.

2026 MILB Catch-All
Those two 2️⃣ plus getting teel back gets me super excited about what this lineup can look like in time….totally getting Monty needs more work in AAA and Caleb is still a year out. If they go after Sato or someone else in free agency even better when it comes to lineup depth and flexibility!

PCA is a big fat crybaby with a contract extension
This thread has been a curse - I'm closing it. Haven't won a series since it happened and we have won the 1st game of series plenty of time. Time to end this and worry about our beloved franchise!

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
This is interesting in my mind. If you can get solid savings you are also getting an elite and ascending college player. Really starting to lean towards Lackey over Roch. Roch is solid I just wish he had more elite physical traits (they just don’t jump off the page to me and I worry about that with wood bats). If he was Tulo I’d be down with that though. Lackey has serious juice though - tools are awesome and he has legit juice.

And I should say I’m fine with Cholosky too. But those are the 2 I would choose from. Lackey has some serious swag to him. I think I would have him play CF though if I drafted him.

I am on board with Lackey if they decided to pivot.

Website Issue
No the software upgrade was unrelated to DNS change. The server company did some upgrade without my knowledge and after that the site went down and DNS and settings were messed up (none of which I had changed). Hard part is I don’t know what they did cause they did it without my permission and over time I was able to back end a solution to get this thing up - as server company who messed it all up failed and failed and failed…and never was able to revert or even tell me what they did. Has been very frustrating - don’t know what else to do - and I caveat I am clearly not a web guru. Been way too long since I did this stuff.

Website Issue
This is what it is - what do I need to do to fix the host side. Server company has been worthless but something is wrong that host isn’t picking up on Verizon (or other carriers using Verizon)

Official NBA 25-26 Thread
I am exstatic over any of the top 4. We are in a spot where I won't debate - but I see a wide gap between those 4 and the next class, and the next group has some very talented prospects too. Bulls front office obviously needs to look and assess this group but also validate what there views are on say 4 vs. 5 as if they have a more narrow view than they should assess other things (I don't think they will but if they do). Similarly - if they look at the next 6 spots and see guys that are blue chip, they need to assess at what point might they take a swing for one more of those by moving up (even if it means giving up a future material asset). Again - may not be that the value lines up - but they got to look at all of those things.

They are taking one of the shortstops. I think the fundamental question is how much higher do you see the prep SS's ceiling vs. Roch. Reality is both are elite prospects and we would be happy to have either of them.

Yeah - Quero has to be worth more than that - but I think we'd be selling low on him right now which doesn't make sense to me. I do love fact Sox might try and grab a comp pick though...would just prefer it not to be giving up a longer term piece - as I think quero is going to have a long career as an above average catcher.

I would if I were another team. Quero is a highly rated catcher and catcher(s) are notorious for being slow adjusters at MLB level because everything thrown out at them. I actually don't think getting a comp pick for Quero would be good value from the Sox perspective. I think he is worth more than that and I'm not down on him because of his tough start of the season. He does need a reset and some mechanical adjustments but I believe he is a plus catcher who is cost controlled for a long time...that is worth more than a comp pick. My guess was potentially one of our relievers.

Alek Thomas
I have a pretty high confidence (ignoring health) on McDougall and Smith. Thorpe I think also is still a very clear major league starter in my mind (I'm higher on him then most here - not saying he's a #1 or #2 - but I think he has a long career in the 4/5 mold).

Official NBA 25-26 Thread
I stick to they need to stack more assets so I'm very supportive of cap space for more picks. I'm also supportive for playing RFA market. They also need to be smart enough that they don't hamper themselves so much given the new lottery rules that go into effect. Everything I've heard so far from new president is refreshing compared to the previous one (doesn't say much). Almost feels like a do-over; We have Matas (Lauri comparison), Giddey (Lavine) and a 4th overall pick (same as bulls had). But I hope this regime treats this much better. Go nail the 4th pick and have right internal scouting view and lets not jump to trade future assets away for Vuc.

Aaron Gleeman leaving the athletic
He's one of the original's - remember he was doing it back when SoxNet was in its infancy and before Soxtalk had spun up.
