Well my vote is TJ Ford. I don't think he'll be able to do it in the NBA. The center the clips picked will liekly be a bust too (Cayman) as he's got back injuries that are expected to effect him the rest of his career.

I understand that Webster was a long way and certainly no guarantee. I also applaud the deal KW made that resulted in giving him up. However, I would still rather have him in the system now than not. Too bad losing him didn't pay off for us this year. If Webster can learn to draw walks and develop power (A big ??) then he could turn into something. Right now I think he was overhyped and the Sox held onto the better outfield prospects. Plus they have such depth at that position now, albeit most of it is at the lower levels.

Agreed. Heck...Konerko for Thurston wouldn't be a bad trade. Thurston has fell out of love in LA and Konerko could go in there and provide pop. Personally I wouldn't make the deal, but if the Sox take on about 2 mill each season I'd think they would do it. Or set it up where you take on 2 mill a year if he doesn't reach certain numbers. Thurston could also give the Sox added depth at 2nd base. Also as far as 1st base/bench what would everyone think about bringing Ventura on to play Daubach's role?

I wasn't gonna turn that one off till it was over. Good thing I'm out on the west coast...so I was still able to get up at 6:30 and get ready to head out to school. Of course I ended up sleeping in till 7.
-
I hope they at least talk to him. He's done a heck of a job in the organization and has earned that right.
-
For 2 mill a year Cameron would be a great addition, imo.
-
That was one of the best games I ever watched.

Could the Sox lure Guillen away from the Marlins to become the 3rd base coach? Unless he's a free agent (or whatever you call an available coach) then you can take him otherwise he needs to be given a different position then he currently holds, unless the Marlins say he can go.

Where did Bell manage other then Colorado? Was it Milwalkee or Detroit or was colorado the only team? As far as Francona can't tell ya much about him.
-
Santos a great guy..but I wouldn't ever call him a great announcer, imo.

I think it is McNabbs history and versatility that keeps him out there. If this was Quincy Carter, forget about it, he would be benched. But McNabb has played very well the last 3 years and deserves a million chances. Not too mention his versatility makes him a big play threat even when he is playing poorly, not many guys can say that. Its the millions of dollars they have invested too him. Well 100 million or so to be exact (Although that ain't all guaranteed).

Ya..their was a contest then...don't see why we can't have another one. Its been a while since that one. Sounds pretty cool...guess I'll have to get creative with something.

Well since Limbaugh is so unpopular can you explain why the ratings of NFL Countdown or whatever its called went up so much once he joined? The guys radio show seems to be doing pretty damn good...with or without this so called stunt which Im assumimg your calling a ploy by him. Personally I don't buy it, cause I think his ratings have been just fine and he's a pretty damn sucessful radio show host...whether you like his opinions or not.

Trent Dilfer took the Ravens to a superbowl...doesn't mean he should be a starter and that he's a great qb. I'm not gonna knock McNabb cause I saw the guy singlehandedly carry the Eagles over the Bears a few years ago in the playoffs. I Know the Eagles defense and Miller getting hurt had something to do with it...but I also remember McNabb running out of impossible situations and finding ways to get a first down. It was killa. Although this year he has been pretty bad and if it were a typical qb...he probably would of been benched, imo. Whether it was right or wrong (His comments) i don't think they were intended as anti black or racist at all. Just my opinion though.

Does Miggy Smell a payday?

I thought Chavez hit it into a DP...but the lead runner is out.
-
The Dreaded leadoff walk.
-
Wow...what a play by Chavez. That was amazing. Catches a freaking shot down the line and dives into 3rd just ahead of the slide to force him out at 3rd and end the inning. And I thought the game could get any better
-
I'd prefer having him as a starter. My guess is you'll see Beane finangle a trade for someone thats a stud reliever whose never gotten the opportunity to close. Then he'll put up great numbers and Beane will get more picks for him once he puts up the saves (Which is what everyone wants).

Was talking to a buddy of mine at work (Older guy) and he was in Boston after Buckner. He said people were all out walking around after the game going...is it too much to ask for just one Championship. He said it was just ugly. I know one thing...if I were a White Sox fan and that crap happened...something would of flown through my tv.
-
Inning over...Lowe whiffs Ellis. I'm guessing he pitches another inning..then they go with someone else. Well if they need another inning. HELL OF A GAME thus far
-
Well Rex...I guess Macha is just ignoring Beane tonight as he goes with the stolen base with two outs...which once again is the right call.
-
Justice is a dips***. Didn't I basically say that earlier? How interesting that Oakland tried to sac bunt, another thing Billy Beane calls stupid. And with a guy that doesn't have a sac all season. I bet Beane is breaking something right now. Maybe his pager Think Beane is actually watching the game?? Playoffs might be the exception?? My guess is after the trade deadline he starts watching cause he knows the rules stop him from blowing the team up
