The number I had for his salary owed came from a few articles but I just did the math on it and it would be closer to $3M just for this season, plus $1M for the option so a total of $4M. I can't imagine many teams willing to pick up the $4M contract so my guess is that he's already cleared waivers and at this point you'd be talking about the Mets picking up close to half of that contract and its just a matter of what the opponent is willing to give up. For Wagner at $2 million would you guys be willing to trade Carlos Torres? Would the Mets do that?

The Sox are going to sign Morgado but it will go down to the wire. My guess is they already have an above slot offer and the sides are just playing a bit of hardball up until the deadline. Doesn't sound good on Jones.

He's a great veteran and as a reliever he might still have a bit left in the tank. Plus the guy flat out pitches great in the post-season and I think just having him around would be good for the team.

I know someone else had suggested this earlier, but now that Wagner has pitched and is flashing his plus stuff I think it becomes a more realistic option. The question is whether Wagner has already cleared waivers.

Oh I should point out that I think Ray Lewis is a big fat piece of scum. Knew he did something bad, didn't know he murdered the guy, but clearly he might have.

Saw the Hurt Locker last night. It was solid. Don't know if it was worth all the hype it got, but I enjoyed it.

My eyes shut and I don't get up. Its weird cause as a kid I had horrible sleeping problems but the older I've gotten the better my sleeps have become. I'll always have one day in the week though where I can't sleep. I think part of the reason I'm pretty good at sleeping is I am very good at handling stress so my mind is free and clear when I pass out.
