QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 06:59 AM) I'm all for whatever keeps us away from Dallas. They're Blackhawks kryptonite. The Blues kicked our ass last year in the regular season. Anaheim had our number as well. Look how that turned out. The only things that have me worried is the possession numbers and especially the PK. Of the 3 cup wins, the Hawks PK finished no worse than top 10. We're not going anywhere with a 20 something PK. The Kings rejuvenation reminds me of the Hawks last year. Wouldn't surprise me if they won it again. Don't think I've doubted this core in 6 years. Prove me wrong boys.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 10:13 PM) Kane's slump of sorts has me worried he won't even reach 100 points I'm more worried about Jaime Benn catching him for the Art Ross. Benn is now 10 points behind Kane with 8 games left for both. I still don't get why Q doesn't put Keith and Seabrook back together and Ehrhoff or Gustafsson with Hjalmarsson. TVR is useless playing the left side. He's much better on his natural side and playing another painfully slow skater in Rozsival with him is just bad. Either guy should be benched in the playoffs.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 07:12 AM) Craig Sagers cancer no longer in remission http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/26265...paign=editorial Really sad to hear that. Guy is an outstanding reporter. Also a Chicago native. And he's pretty much the Don Cherry of the NBA with his bright suits.

That bothered some guys. Very telling there. Was more than one.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 20, 2016 -> 10:41 PM) That was on Kane with his head down like that. Not disagreeing about the hit. I was more disappointed that of all people, it was Panarin who had to step in. Even though Kane was back on the ice, he looked off the rest of the game. Gotta hope he doesn't have concussion symptoms later.

That has to be the 3rd time in consecutive games Dumba has taken a run at a Hawks player. This time he popped Kane who has gone to the quiet room.

Will never bet against a Pop coached team. I've made my Thibodeau love known on this site for his brilliant defensive strategists, but the one guy who is even a step above him is Popovich.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) After this game, there's no question in my mind Crawford is the MVP of this team. At worst, it's a tie between he and Kane. Once he cooled off, the offense is nowhere to be found now. One line has essentially carried us all year led by 88. He's in a slump right now and all of a sudden everyone else is too.

Putnam and Petricka both have small injuries
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 02:43 PM) Interesting. You are the first person I have heard say that. No kidding. I usually stretch first and then do a warmup like the butt kicks. Never heard of that.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) Kings scored again. 3-0 Crawford can't be bad if Keith/Hammer are going to play like this. To be fair, Crawford hasn't played great either. In fact that second goal was on him.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:20 AM) I hope teams like the Bears signing ILB helps Darron Lee fall in the draft a little bit. He is starting to become my favorite player in this draft. Reggie Ragland as well. I feel the exact opposite about Ragland.

Looks like Kruger was given a modified no trade clause according to Capfriendly. It kicks in after next season, and Kruger can pick 7 teams he doesn't want to be traded to. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/marcus-kruger

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) No way can you take him that high with his injury. I'd be surprised if he last in the mid rounds, but if that's the case, I'd still take a chance on him. Still a great talent.

Freeman is really solid and is a very good stop gap. Might have the Bears pick a guy like Jaylon Smith in the 2nd round if he's still there.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 02:21 PM) Lawrie not exactly showing good range I still feel this team would be much better with Sanchez glove at 2B. Ideally, rotate Lawrie and Frazier at 3B/DH.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) You almost have to put their top 3 with the other 3 on pairings. Hjalmarsson with Keith is as good as it gets but TVR and Gustafsson have been pathetic & we all know Ehrhoff is only a 6. I still don't know why Q doesn't just put Keith and Seabrook together and Hjalmarsson with either Gustafsson or TVR (or Ehrhoff). Seabrook plays his absolute best with Keith and it spreads out the defense alittle. Hawks are too thin past 2 and 4 (who both have been awful tonight themselves).

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) Bears are bringing in DE Akiem Hicks and TE Jermaine Gresham in on visits tomorrow. Hopefully we can lock both of them up tomorrow and make Bennett expendable. Bears also interested in WR Jermaine Kearse. Bears also signed CB Sherrick McManis to a 2 year deal. Good because he's a solid ST guy. So, lock up Gresham and Hicks tomorrow. Resign Miller and Jenkins. Possibly get Kearse here and then focus on CB/S help. Resigned in Seattle.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Aside from that, he's a 4th line player who only kills penalties. I think this definitely means goodbye to Shaw and maybe even Kane, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson or Hossa Dear lord..
