Lawrie has been a pleasant surprise with the glove this year so far.

Abreu really needs to sit. Don't think I've ever said this about him, but he's hurting the team right now.

Don't know why so many people are sleeping on SJ, but I will say I'm shocked they didn't choke the series. (Or at least till game 7)

I hope McDouche doesn't try and censor Foley the rest of his broadcasting career. I can easily see that happening. He is the definition of "my way or the highway".

2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 06:41 PM) Didn't realize he was that old. Meh.. 28 (soon to be 29) for a CB isn't that old. Plus he has less miles on his body than the usual players his age. But his asking price is just scary especially for, all accounts, a zone corner. Norman is a very good player but he's no difference maker. If I'm paying 90+ mil for someone, gimme Mo.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) This is definitively false. Garcia has elite speed. Sanchez has played in a 148 games in the MLB. That's basically a typical full season sample. He has 3 SBs and 3 CSs in his career in the bigs. Garcia, who doesn't even fulfill all of his base stealing potential, has stolen 191 bags in minors and is 19/22 as a big leaguer. Yep. Garcia is definitely the faster/better baserunner but I'll throw out the major league stats. White Sox are one of the least SB per attempt teams in the bigs. Robin isn't very aggressive in thst regard. But in either case, it's still Leury even by the eye test.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) He played on the top line of a stanley cup winning team and scored 52 points. At 21-22 years old! Rock you're better than this. And no offense to Toews and Hossa, but they ain't Kane.

2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Marc SteinVerified account @ESPNSteinLine NBA sources say Tom Thibodeau is closing in on a five-year pact in the $10 million range annually to become coach/president of the Wolves. Rooting for him. Outstanding move for the TWolves. Felix somewhere is probably jumping in joy.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:04 PM) Panarin is one year older and scored 24 more points this season. An argument? Yes I'm sure one being on a s***ty team and the other playing with the Art Ross and likely Hart winner didn't quite tip the scales there..

I'm glad there's someone on this team who can take a walk besides Eaton and Avila. Thank you Lawrie.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:02 AM) I'd rather have Anisimov and Panarin now and moving forward than Saad and Sharp. Saad is a stud and only 23. Now? I'll take the first two. Moving forward? Only Panarin has an argument.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) @AdamSchefter After medical rechecks, Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith is not expected to play in 2016 and teams are unsure when he will play again, per sources. That's a real shame. He was quite a talent.

2015-16 NHL thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 07:16 AM) He isn't tough enough to play on that top line yet. Hossa can still win a board battle. He has Ladd and Toews already winning board battles. A guy with his vision can be a weapon on that line.

2015-16 NHL thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) He seems to always be on the "checking " line but that just doesn't fit him. He needs to play with more skilled guys but there is no room on the second KGB line. Maybe he could switch with Hossa? He NEEDS to switch with Hossa ideally. Hossa is a 3rd liner at this point. I still think Teravainen is probably Toews future RW although he can play center if he bulks up.

Frazier's struggles
Frazier at least brings it with the glove. Something we couldn't say with the Dunns, LaRoches etc. of the world. Still way too early in the season. Hell, he leads our team in RBIs for god's sake.

Roszival was awful. Easily the worst player on the ice for either team
