Hopefully Owens absolutely rakes at Charlotte and we can spin him off to another team in a trade. I didn't know CQ would be this damn good. There's nowhere for Owens to play. Even if he did show substantial improvement.

Juan is who he is. There's nothing Ozzie can do or say to "spark" Juan. I still like him at second over Alexi. I'd love it if Alexi could prove me wrong.

I'd leave Uribe right where he is. I don't think Alexi is ready yet. Our offense is good enough to overcome the automatic out that is Uribe.

If not for the strike in 1994, Frank might've had the single most dominant season in MLB history. If not for a bum cheater named Jason Giambi, he'd have 3 MVPs. Frank is the best player in franchise history, without question.

The Cubs are good only by NL central standards. Nothing more or less. The D-backs, Rockies, Phillies, Mets and Braves are unquestionably better, IMO. You could make an argument, although to a lesser degree, for the Dodgers and Padres.

It's been a splendid first two weeks. I would've been estatic if you told me before the season that after playing the Tigers and Indians a total of 9 times that we would be 7-4. There's a lot to like about this club right now. We've still got a ways to go before we really know who we are. But we're off to a good start.

The '08 Tigers are making the '07 White Sox look kinda decent.

Ted Lilly is some kinda awful right now. Most people, including myself, figured his 2007 was a fluke. The Cubs aren't sniffing the NL Central title if Lilly doesn't have a good year.

Mr. Floyd just pwns Detroit. I wish I could believe he's 'turned the corner.' Unfortunately, I'll need another 5-6 quality/dominant starts before I believe he's the real deal. But he's off to a VERY good start this season.

The D-backs are absolutely loaded! They've done such an amazing job with their drafting and developing the last 4-5 years. I picked them to win the NL before the year. They're even better than I thought they would be.

Flawless victory (although the D was kinda shaky). We really need to take it to a considerably weaker Twins team tomorrow. It would be really dissapointing to lay an egg tomorrow after such a great series against Detroit.
