  1. And that's a Brewers season! I was hoping they could atleast win tonight and force the Cubs to pitch Hill or Lilly against Harang tomorrrow. Now it looks like they'll be able to save both until the playoffs.
  2. Man oh man does it suck to be a Mets fan right now. If both scores hold up, the Phillies will be in first by the end of the night.
  3. Just a couple more days until this nightmare is over. I can't believe this team. They can't even f***in' lose right. Guys like Thome/Konerko/Dye have decided to turn it on first-half 2006 style. We're all of a sudden getting good starting pitching for the first time since, what, May? The bullpen has actually been decent. And we only had to wait for meaningless September games for this to happen. So long Pedro!

I have 4, and they all hurt like a motherf***er. I've got one that says "Chicago" in really fancy writing on my right shoulder. I've got another of the Grimreaper on my lower back. I've got another one of a severed head (a big ass knife going through the head) on my other shoulder. And one of a dude being burned alive. I want to get the jigsaw puppet from Saw.
  5. Still 3-2 going into the 8th. What a joke. I'm starting to feel like fathom now. I didn't expect the Marlins to do what they're doing to the Cubs. The Brewers must take f***ing advantage.
  6. If the Brewers can't be Brad Thompson and the the Cards' 'b' lineup (save for Pujols), then they don't deserve it. What a horrible loss this would be. Still 3 innings to go.
  7. Cubs losing once again to the Marlins 7-4. Brewers losing 3-2 in the 6th. They (the Brewers) better get going soon.
  8. fathom, I remember 2003. I also remember how it ended. This team is nowhere near as good as the 2003 team. Not that, that means anything in 2007. With the Sox being out of it since June, I've watched more Cubs games this year than I ever before. I don't think this is a team built for playoff success. They're lookin' good against the crap that is their division (kinda like the final month of the 2003 season), but they've looked average or worse against anybody good from the NL. Check their records against the NL east and west. Yes, I know what the Cardinals did last year. But was that the exception or the rule? How many teams with less than 85 wins win it all? And let's say the impossible happens and they do win it all. So what? We had our fun in 2005. It's not like Cubs fans will have bragging rights on us or anything. But like I said, they'll get knocked out in round 1.
  9. fathom, are you the new cuck the fubs? Just calm down. lol. So what if they're going to win the division. They'll be exposed come playoffs.
  10. Jerry is not about to fool my ass into thinking he's a legitimate everyday player. They're better be another plan in place.
  11. I wish Ozzie would bench Thome with some "mysterious" injury. Thome is swinging the bat like he hasn't since the first half of 2006. This would've been great earlier in the year. He's just killing us now.
  12. What a perfect time to finally get to Johan. Not. I couldn't hate this team more if I tried.
  13. Rowand, the Phillies offense would murder the Cubs' pitching staff.
  14. LMAO@Cheat. Say what you want about Greg, but the man sticks to what he believes in. No matter how many people jump on him.
  15. Am I the only one here that isn't worried one bit about the Cubs making the playoffs? Has anybody really watched this team all year? They are so not built for playoff baseball it isn't even funny. They're not at all fundamentally sound. They don't play great, or even good, defense. They struggle to manufacture runs on a consistent basis. They have no speed outside of Theriot. Does anybody really think a starting staff of Zambrano, who's been hit or miss all year, Lilly, a youngster in Rich Hill, and Jason Marquis is a championship caliber rotation? The only reason we're even still talking about the Cubs is because they're in the most pathetic division in baseball. They would've been out of it weeks ago in any other divison. Trust JFL when he says this: the Cubs will be exposed in a big way come playoff time.
  16. Indeed, Soxfan. That's all the rest of the season is about for me. I don't care if we lose 100 games. I want Alvarez!
  17. I love it when Wite dominates. And for the record, yes, Owens does stink. He's a f***ing joke, actually.
  18. Do I smell another "Let us never forget" moment?
  19. 20? So you were like 16 when I first met you on here? Damn! Anyway, happy b-day, kind sir.
  20. Michael Jordan. Walter Payton. Wayne Gretzky. Barry Bonds. That is all.
  21. Kalapse is always right. Well, atleast in this thread.
  22. Apperciate it Rowand. It seems like it was only yesterday that me and you were going up against Brando and Wite in our 2004 Cubs wars. Obviously we were right. lol.
  23. Thanks GP and WT. Man, I'm drunker than Lindsay Lohan on New Year's Eve.
  24. Crap to replace crap. Nice.
