They need to be eliminating playoff teams. The MLB regular season is a league of attrition. It's so damn long that to expand the playoffs would diminish an already diminished product. Go back to AL/NL East/West. Forget the wild cards, divisions, inter league play. Best four teams in. The best four teams over the course of a long grueling summer. Not whoever got hot in September.

After spending a lot of time analyzing the roster, schedule, and crunching the deeper advanced stats I've come to the logical, and imo, conservative conclusion that the Sox will win 108 games in the regular season. Let's get some!

They need to take advantage of their division. Dominate KC and Detroit. Go like 14-5 or 15-4 against them both and split with Cleveland and the Twins. That's almost 50 wins right there. Easy peasy.
