QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) Upon review of the songs so far, Nowhere Man needs to be on there Definitely, plus the Nowhere Man instrumental from "5.1 Degrees Of Separation".

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) Rolling Stones - Waiting On A Friend, I'd say that was a hit. This song is a guilty pleasure of mine as well. I can put together a list of at least 50 Rolling Stones songs that I enjoy from 1964-1973, but there are only a couple that I listen to from the Ronnie Wood era. This is one of them, along with the B-Side "I Think I'm Going Mad" and "Hand Of Fate".

This is my kind or thread. Elton John- Rocket Man There are a few things in life that I usually wouldn't admit to. Yes, I like Rocket Man. And yes, I am a fan of George Clooney. Don't make fun of me. The Byrds- Eight Miles High I never liked the Byrds, but this song is great. Bob Seger- Against The Wind I thought about getting his Greatest Hits disc just for this track, but I just went with the Forrest Gump SDTK instead. Van Halen- Runnin With The Devil Van Halen have written some of the cheesiest love songs that I've ever heard in my life. I have the Greatest Hits CD, and this is the one song that I like.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) My sons favourite is Maxwells Silver Hammer, I'm not sure what this says about him though. I could see why a young child would like this song. It has a circus feel to it. And how many takes were needed for Paul to get it up to his standards? That was right around the time when Lennon started to go insane. Coincidence?

Mike, I recommend: I'm Only Sleeping (LP Version) I'm So Tired (Kinfauns Version) How Do You Sleep? (LP Version) I'd put on some soft stuff (as SNB said) like the Kinfauns sessions. "Blackbird" is actually perfect, despite the meaning behind the song. But go with the alternate take or the Kinfauns version so your kid isn't overwhelmed by birds chirping. I could never listen to the officially released White Album, although I love the stripped-down versions and acoustic versions of most of the tracks.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) I honestly see very little upside, especially with players like Chandler actually regressing. Chandler is 22 years old, not 32. Remember, he's still a baby in NBA terms. He's trying to adjust to a new position. He'll probably have to move back to PF, which is fine. I envisioned him as a ranger out of the C, but when he peaks, I'd much rather have him guarding the Duncans, Garnetts, and Stoudamires of the world. And remember, we'll have two first round picks next year and a s***load of cap space. This year doesn't really mean anything IMO. It's all about player development. If we manage to sneak into the playoffs this year, that would be great, but I wouldn't exactly be heartbroken if we came up short. Michael Sweetney could be one heck of a 6th man next year if he drops like 30 pounds. He's been putting up some numbers against some of the weaker frontcourts in the West Coast recently. I'm pleasantly surprised, but I'm not giddy.

And why are you motherf***ers digging s*** up from the past anyways?

I stand by this post for the most part. I still think that CB and LB depth are a major concern. We've been fortunate to avoid injuries. I dunno what's going on with Buffalo's rushing defense, and New England has gotten inconsistent play out of that tremendously talented D-Line, but otherwise, I don't see much that is inaccurate. Nathan Vasher is a nickel back. He can't cover worth a damn. He makes Charles Tillman look like Mel Blount. I'd call you a homer, but some admin might come by and delete my post.

I worked at an independent sub joint (Bob-O-Rinos) for 6 years. I used to stock inventory every week. They paid top dollar for the highest quality lunchmeat, bread, sauces (GFC products), etc. As a result, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. On the other hand, Subway is on the cheap. Their oil & vinegar is piss-poor. Their ham is pretty f***ing far from Krakus. I could put together a pretty extensive list of complaints. I understand that their operation is geared towards "healthy eating", so in a lot of cases, they can't use the tastier (read: more fattening) sauces, but come on. I'd consider eating there if it were for free. Maybe.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) I will say this about Krutz: he needs help. He has had a history of serious anger problems. Something is not right with him in the head and he better get help. Use anger on the field but not off the field. If this was the real world and he did something like this to a co-worker he would've been fired. At least you're consistent, Josh. It's pretty much a given that you'll always come out on the wrong side of the argument on here. He needs help, lol. He's only like the most respected guy on the team. I wonder why that is. Could it be due to the fact that he actually has a pair and won't let bulls*** fly? And for that, he is labeled as one with anger management issues? That's hilarious. And for all of your insanely laughable support of one Kyle Orton, guess who the dude credits more than any coach or player for his progress as an NFL starter thus far? Yep, one Olin Kreutz. People with "serious anger issues" aka "a chemical imbalance" do not get more respect than anyone else on the team, and they sure as hell don't go out of their way to help a rookie out as much as Olin has helped Orton. If this anger nonsense was even remotely true, Kreutz would have had numerous NFL incidents by now, what with all of the candy-ass motherf***ers in this league who just don't feel like putting forth the proper effort. Obviously, Miller said something that was out of line, and he paid for it. What, do you think that Kreutz just stuck him out of nowhere, just for fun? No. It doesn't really work that way, Josh. -
QUOTE(Credepopsup @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) I wouldn't be surprised to see Pietrus start. If not tonight, he'll be starting soon. Dunleavy has been s*** - His new contract must be on his mind.. Poor Junior.. Dunleavy has been dreadful. More than half of his shots have been 3 pointers, and he's hitting them at a rate of 19%. Field Goals: 15 for 61 (24%) 3 Pointers: 6 for 31 (19%) Minutes Per Game: 30 This is not to mention that he has just as many turnovers as assists (14). And it goes without saying that he is just an unbelievably lousy defender. How can you give this guy a 5 year extension, especially with Pietrus in the picture? Chris Mullin ain't no Larry Bird. That is for god damn sure.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) That being said Miller is the one who apologized to everyone including Kreutz so idonno. That's exactly right. Kreutz is the leader of this team for a reason. How can you take issue with him? If you're acting like an asshole, he'll let you know about it. -
QUOTE(Yoda @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) I’ll be tuning in to this game and the Cowboys @ Eagles. Thank you for keeping us informed on your whereabouts. This information will come in handy when we are all flipping through the channels this evening and wondering what Yoda is up to. I'll be watching this game, and then I'll probably check out some porn after my wife goes to sleep.

QUOTE(Balance @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Holmes going on IR puts a big hurt (not to be confused with The Big Hurt) on my fantasy football team.... Dude, you brought back this thread just to tell us about your fantasy football team? Is there a more pointless fantasy game to play given all of the injuries? It's a crapshoot. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with actual football knowledge. The guy who wins is the guy with the least injuries. You have to have God on your side to succeed. Why even bother?

Holy f***ing s***. The Packers and the Vikings both beat playoff teams today. All four teams in our sorry-ass division won. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) Vasher for punt return! Bench Wade! Yeah, tell me about it. Vasher showed some great potential on that one. This was my favorite game of the year, thus far.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) I do remember those 6 games... well really only 5 since he got hurt in the KC one at the begininng.... and Grossman in those 5 games has thrown over 200 yards 3-4 times..... Orton has done that once. Not 2 mention he misses easy wide open targets... missing open recievers isnt part of the rookie mistakes its just being inaccurate. Why respond to a post that is so blatantly stupid? Some of you guys...wow. I dont' even know why I bother sometimes. -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) Yeah, and Grossman looked just like Montana in those six games over three years. Remember those six games? Huh? Given the context, your post makes absolutely no f***ing sense. I'm talking about one-play or one-game wonders in response to a hilarious Dan Marino comparison. What are you talking about? -

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 06:44 AM) did you see the TD Pass to Moose against Detroit. That looked like it was thrown by Dan Marino in his prime. Bet you Grossman couldn't of placed that ball where Orton did. Yep, and Cade McNown looked like Steve Young in his prime on that one run. Remember that one run? Remember when Marcus Fizer scored 30? Just like Karl Malone in his prime? -

You know, people keep saying that his game against Detroit in Week 8 was his best effort. Perhaps it appears that way on paper, but for those of us who actually watched that game, how many of those short passes to the sideline should have been picked off? I saw two dropped interceptions that should have been returned for easy touchdowns. If the Lions didn't have such a horrendous Back 7, we'd have gotten our asses handed to us in that game on the strength of unbelievably stupid decision-making and piss-poor talent out of the QB slot. But as it is now, every misguided Bears fan out there uses that game as a crutch. And then you have those passes that are like a couple dozen feet off target. Do blatantly inaccurate passes qualify as rookie mistakes? I don't think so. There are certain things that you just can't teach, and Kyle ain't got much god-given talent to work with as far as I can tell. -
