  1. QUOTE(G&T @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 04:42 AM) Nomar? No. sox-r-us always does this, though. Let's go out and get Manny Ramirez, Vinny Castilla, Nomar Garciaparra, etc. He can't really differentiate between fantasy and reality. Because our payroll is infinite, you know. But as far as the topic at hand, hell yes, K-Dub has proven to be one kick-ass motherf***er.
  2. Hell yeah, nice piece of woodwork right there. It's about freaking time, Jermaine.
  3. Congratulations on creating the ABSOLUTE DUMBEST, most retarded f***ing poll in the history of soxtalk! I voted for dreadful.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) Harry is more of a cubs fan but he's always said he cheers for the sox when they aren't playing the cubs. I can respect that.
  5. QUOTE(Adam G @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) If the Yankees want to steal away the biggest reason for our pitching being so dominant this year, they should be targeting AJ. LOL, biggest reason? AJ is important for his game-calling skills, but he's not the one throwing the motherf***ing pitches, now is he? Coop is the one working with these guys behind closed doors on their mechanics. Cotts, Pollite, Jenks, Contreras, Garland, etc. All credit goes to Coop. And I'm beyond surprised that nobody "addressed" your post before I got to it. We have intelligent baseball fans on here who would NEVER buy into that.
  6. Just out of curiosity, are Mac/Jurko/Harry Sox fans? Because they are dressed in full White Sox attire. I wouldn't know, as I could never bring myself to listen to such a horses*** show. I have this odd feeling that they are Cubs fans.
  7. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:28 AM) I cannot stand anything jays outside of krunchers. Over the years they have gotten too oily tasting for me. Seems like to me they are using a different oil in the past three years or so than they use to. I like their ridged chips a lot. The Jalapeno Cheddar ridged chips are good, although I'd prefer a little more jalapeno and a little less cheddar. I can go for some flamin' hot Jays from time to time, although I can't eat very many in one sitting. Krunchers are the highlight though, no question.
  8. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:21 AM) Weird thing is i am currently eating a bag of... Oh man, those are outstanding. I used to be more of a Doritos guy, but Jays just blows everyone away nowadays.
  9. You know what else kicks ass? Jays just came out with new Jalapeno Cheddar Ridged Chips. I'm gonna get fat in a hurry.
  10. :salivating I ate one of them huge bags this past weekend.
  11. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Yeah, cas I said Crede was as good of a player as Jeter. :headshake Again, and it's like I have to tell you this every freaking time: It's an accumulation of posts, not just this one in particular. Your man-love for Crede is disturbing to me. Do you write the dude love letters or what? You are so quick to criticize Mark Buehrle. Why? Is it because people say that he's better than Garland? That is the precise reasoning behind your bulls*** Buehrle posts, am I wrong? GOOD GOD.
  12. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Crede = The White Sox Derek Jeter. Yep, and Garland is more valuable than Mark Beuhrle, ain't that right? There is a thin line between loyalty and straight-up mental retardation. Well, at least in your case, anyway.
  13. Dude, launch your f***ing I-Pod into Lake Michigan.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) As long as the proposed class also teaches about the Flying Spaghetti Monster theory of origins, we're all in good shape. WHY YOU SHOULD CONVERT TO FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTERISM 1. Flimsy moral standards. 2. Every friday is a relgious holiday. If your work/school objects to that, demand your religious beliefs are respected and threaten to call the ACLU. 3. Our heaven is WAY better. We've got a Stripper Factory AND a Beer Volcano
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) To not blame the crowd is flat out pathetic. I saw a rattled Paul Byrd in Yankee stadium. He was happy to leave the game! He couldn't handle the pressure of pitching in such an awesome stage. After Sheffield hit the deep fly to end the threat he nearly shat his pants. Scioscia sensed it & got em the hell outta there. There was no such hostility last night. So to blame the crowd for our lack of execution is flat out pathetic but we didnt jump Byrdass at all! TO ME THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME & THUS THE SOLE REASON WE LOST THE DAMN GAME. I am done. AGAIN! You are: baffled, bewildered, confused, dazed, disconcerted, dumbfounded, dumbstruck, flustered, gone, gonzo, misled, puzzled, spaced out, stupefied, stumped, uncomprehending, etc.
  16. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 03:32 AM) Byrd had a 1.19 whip and 3.74 era on the season. Just because he is a junk throw does not mean he is bad, s***ty, garbage... and of the words that i have seen describe him tonight. Word. There's like a boatload of motherf***ers in this place that need to get a clue. Byrd is a crafty pitcher. I don't want to hear about his playoff history either.
  17. Stoudemire Out For Four Months I take back what I said about your fantasy squad, cal. So, what should be the Suns starting lineup without Amare? PG: Steve Nash SG: Raja Bell SF: Shawn Marion PF: Kurt Thomas C: Brian Grant PG: Steve Nash SG: Raja Bell SF: Jim Jackson PF: Shawn Marion C: Kurt Thomas In retrospect, they should have held on to Steven Hunter. I know that he doesn't have much upside on offense, and he's not as good of a rebounder as his size and athleticism would indicate, but at least he could play some solid defense for 15 to 20 minutes a night. I don't even know who the f*** Pat Burke is. It's crazy when you consider that they won't have 3/5 of their starting lineup from last year's Western Conference Finals squad on opening day.
  18. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) You're just proving how little time you spend here with that statement. If you spend any significant amount of time here you would know that that treatment is not reserved for any 1 team but anyone who happens to cross paths with us. I'm sure he knows. He just doesn't put a whole lot of thought into his posts. In the big picture, this dude is a White Sox fan that lives in the Chicagoland area, and yet, he is genuinely upset that we advanced! And what's worse? He'll act like he doesn't know/understand what I'm talking about. I don't make one iota of sense!!!
  19. QUOTE(Credepopsup @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) That'll be me. Sorry about that. Yeah man, you f***ed up my entire plan. I looked at some of the beef beyond those in the Top 100, and I figured that I'd have a glorious draft in terms of big men. Those that I drafted in bold: #109 Sam Dalembert #110 Ike Diogu #122 Stromile Swift #133 Joe Przybilla #145 Al Jefferson #153 Nenad Krstic #165 Lorenzen Wright #235 Zaza Pachulia I also wanted Al Jefferson badly. And I ain't gonna lie. Kwame Brown at #280 overall would have been my final pick, but he got snagged right before I had a chance to draft him. I had him in que and what not. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that he'll suck badly, but there's still that delusional basketball fan in me that sees 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.
  20. QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 06:16 PM) The draft was a blast. I was astounded at how fast it went, having never done an online draft before. It seemed kinda frantic. I had 3 guys that I wanted taken the pick right before me, but I suppose that happened to everyone. Anyway, it was cool. Ed, which team is yours? Wichitas? My favorite squad is probably JordanToGordan, even though I hate Gordon. I don't know who drafted that squad, but good job. Willie? Who is Adonal Foyle = MVP? I was genuinely pissed off twice I'd say...when Swift and Krstic went way ahead of where Yahoo had them ranked. I figured I'd get one of them, if not both. As it is now, I'm lacking the beef necessary to wreck shop in blocks and FG%.
  21. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) love ya sig love ya suit
  22. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 07:10 AM) How about trading for Manny Ramirez???? Thoughts??? Hell no. I wouldn't want that jackass on my team. How about we trade for Vinny Castilla.
  23. Can you say Tadahito Motherf***in' Iguchi?
