Ozzie
Several things bothered me about this game. No hitting, obviously. And it wasn't because the pitcher was overpowering. He threw a lot of hitable pitches that weren't hit. And then we go ahead by a run, and like Hawk has always said, the next inning is the important one, because the other team will step it up to score. The Twins bore down, and the Sox went out. The better team prevailed.

well one positive thing about this loss schoe
He plays well against us.

Playing Not to Lose
Sandy Alomar is starting to hit like his little brother. Let's face it, other than that 15-0 romp, sox have not look good for some time, even when they win, which has not been often. These are big games against the Twinkies.

Marte Being Overworked
Wait a minute. Didn't marte walk his first two hitters Thursday night? How is that overworked? It looked like lthe Billy Koch syndrome.

Schoeneweis has really surprised me. I thought he was awful last year, and I was surprised when we signed him, but he has been our best pitcher.

sox catchers
Like hitters, Oliva will get into a hot streak and that average will improve.

D'Angelo Jimenez
I know this guy is the favorite of many fellow posters, but he is one bad game away from crossing the Mendoza Line.

My 15 minutes of Fame
Has anyone heard of the thugs threatening to beat up the usher? Maybe they are intimidated themselves.

Sox post game show
Robin would not want to come to the South Side, IMHO.

Olivo on front page of ESPN.com
Speaking of the Oliva trade with Billy Beane, what happened to Chad Bradford?

My 15 minutes of Fame
I have never seen an incident like that in Coors Field, nor have I ever heard of anything like it.

OZZIE GUILLEN POPS OFF!!
Newspaper and televison sports reporters are unbelievably stupid. They ask questions only to start some controversey They've been doing it for years. That clown was just egging PK on in hopes of starting an "I hate the manager story." Ozzie was dead right to step in and embarass the reporter and take PK off the hook. What do you think Jerry Manual would have done in the same circumstance? He probably would have hung around waiting for the answer. And then call his wife to see if he should cry or something. Good for Ozzie. I think we picked a real winner. Yhat is just another example of Ozzie establishing his authority. Good for Ozzie.

"Best trades are those never made...."
Do you guys know who Joe Kennedy is? Lefty for the Rockies who has won 4 so far and has looked really, really good. Rockies got him for nothing in the off season. Last year he was in Tampa and was awful, something like 3-12. He was in Lou's doghouse and Lou was very obvious that he didn't like Joe and that Joe would be gone in '04. That much is fact. So, I'm reading the Denver sports page 3-4 days ago, and the article said that in late 2002 (off season) Joe Kennedy was such a hot prospect that the Rangers offered Hank Blaylock to Tampa for him. And Tampa refused. Don't know if was before or after Lou took the reins. Sounds like it could be true because the Rangers were hurting for pitching, and they were pretty stupid before John Hart took over. And Blalock's 2003 performance was why Lou hated Kennedy so much. But can you imagine trying to trade Hank Blaylock just a year and a half ago?

The Other Team...
The Sox have gagged the last three years. The only way talk like Brantley's will stop is if we stop gagging. Like next weekend. There are several posters on this board who know a lot more about the Sox than baseball commentators do.

My 15 minutes of Fame
Take a weapon next time. Anthing. Mace, pepper spray, whatever works. I used to think the crime was outside the park after the game. It makes me want to pull a Larry Goetz.

Sidney Ponson
Ponson was a good morve for the O's. They got a pretty promising pitcher for him last summer. He'll win 12-14 games this year, I predict.

Were we even on BBTN last night?
When Cameron hit four homers against Butter et al, we were on all the highlights. Same as when what's his name for Toronto had six hits the other night. They perceive us to be the Expos of the American League. Sort of the team nobody cares about.

Proposed Changes
Crede hit a big bases empty homer in Baltimore, but he looked totally overmatched other than that hit. I say he needs to sit for a few games, same as PK.
-
Proposed Changes
Well, Ozzie decided to listen to me after all. He benched Konerko, Crede, and Rowand, just as I recommended when I started this thread. Now Ozzie has to keep them on the bench.
-
Diaz or Grilli could be called up in a few days
I think Mike Jackson is a candidate for release.
-
Proposed Changes
You guys are making my argument for sitting Konerko look jgood. If he is so bad in May, put him on the bench until Memorial Day.

HOW IN THE HELL...........
Anyone would have swept us this weekend.

How good does Griffey Jr. look now?
Rex just gave some logical reasons against acquiring Griffey, but he forgot one: that is, what we would have to give up to get him. Kenny would get fleeced, again.
-
Proposed Changes
Tell Diaz to bring Reed with him.
-
How good does Griffey Jr. look now?
The only reason Griffey looks good lately is because he is hitting behind Jiminez.
