  1. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) I don't know greasy... sometimes I think that you're in the minority. It's not your fault that many, many kids today have no respect for anything and zero sense of responsibility. Our parents did a great job raising us. Idonno how old are you but if you think majority of kids are like that than your way 2 old.....a lot of punk kids but this kids obviously have other issues.... And the army doesnt really stop those kinds of kids like that prison tape incident where they were f***ing with all the prisoners or whatevr it was awhile back.
  2. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) As for team needs, the Bears need the following: TE, CB, OL, WR, P I wouldn't mind a draft where the Bears picked up one of each, then added some depth in those positions as well. Get the best value for each pick. Umm you dont carry 2 punters and Idonno why we would get rid of our current punter.... he didnt have the greatest game yesterday but he is prob one of the best in the business. I dont think we take a WR in the draft we have a lot of young guys and they are prob going to try and add Airese Currie to the mix... We definitely need some OL depth for sure especially if Metcalf isnt brought back id like us to see us take a guard and tackle in the 3rd/4th. A speedy CB is needed and if there is a guy available in the 2nd id definitely take him... and yes we definitely need to take a TE in the 1st. Mercedes Lewis seems the most athletic to me and the possible biggest game breaker in the NFL even if we lose a little blocking with him. We always have Gilmore or whatevr we can bring in on 3rd and short plays.
  3. Im a Tillman fan..... but right now he deserves all the personnel attacks he gets
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 08:57 AM) What would Tyson Chandler get you in a trade right now though? Would the Celtics even trade Mark Blount straight up for him? I wouldn't mind if the Magic went after him, but we need a big center far more then Chandler who can only really play PF at this stage. Idonno on your team Dwight Howard can probably D up on the big C's which would allow Chandler to act like he was last year on defense and make a big impact.....
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 06:16 AM) Likes to take unnecessary shots at people (who are 6'3 and can probably whoop his ass) by posting pictures of people pre-facial hair/deep voice. Also, for some strange reason, has a photo of me on his computer. Looks very funny in the picture that was posted of him
  6. I understand why some people are going on why we didnt run the ball more but hey.... we scored 21 points on the 3rd ranked defense and if we werent playing hurry up and trying to rush we prob could of added a fg there at the end since Grossman wouldnt of been rushing and throw that pick. The offense while different was very effective and did more than enough to win that game.... the blame goes 100% on the defense who couldnt stop the panthers at all not even close. The only thing our defense did show up for was the 3rd and 1's they knocked the panthers back like 5 yards both times.
  7. He is a RFA but id love to add Brandon Lloyd to this team... he has crap QB's throwing to him in San Fran and still always shows up and is a very underated player I think. Also he didnt do much this season but I think Andre Davis from the Pats can be a good reciever... he was having a pretty good season with the Browns b4 getting hurt his last season with them... Id love for the Bears to go after those 2 guys especially since shouldnt get huge contracts. as for the draft the only real important need is the TE. After that id definitely would like them to get some OL depth especially if we let our starting RG whose name escapes me at the moment go. And responding to an earlier poster how is gage overated when no one at all hypes him.... with Grossman I think Berrian has stepped up as a reciever to be the #2 guy if we dont get a WR in f/a.
  8. To be fair everyone knows Tillman has trouble with the speedy guys like Smith so it was pretty obvious that was a matchup problem.... Lovie should of had Vasher moving with Smith all game whereevr he went vasher should of been there.... Azumah might of matched up better but he was hurt. Also despite all the hate he gets Tillman had a really good year this season.... at the begining of the season like first 4-5 games he got burned some but after that he played great the rest of the way and did exactly what he was apposed to..... just he cant stay with speed guys like Smith. On another note they had to run that play where Delhomme passes to his outside reciever and gives him a chance to make a play.... after that happened 2-3 times you think one of our CB's would be able to step in front of it and return it for an easy TD.
  9. The good thing is I think next season we can be even better.... and while we were in the playoffs in 2001 most of the players on the current team werent here for that... now they know how it goes in the playoffs so hopefully next season they dont fall flat on their faces when we get to that point. While this loss really hurts the season was a success.
  10. They totally sucked this game.... the front 4 didnt get the pressure they needed to on Delhomme not even close.... hell we had trouble getting to him when we blitzed which is dumb. Idonno if Ian Scott played or not but if he did he definitely was 100% a non-factor didnt show up at all today.... which kind of pisses me off because when healthy he had been the most reliable guy on the DL The LB's actually werent that bad but still nothing special except that Urlacher int was simply amazing. Secondary :puke ... Tillman was absolute garbage all day he even commited a monster pass interference that wasnt called. Vasher actually played really well was hardly even thrown too. Mike Brown needs to be a man and play in a playoff game when his team needs him.... he had like 5-6 fuken weeks to rest no excuse to be out so early stop being a sissy and play. Chris Harris was ok. Also i have no idea at all why Thompson or whatevr was on Smith that one play.... Carolina moves him around a lot doesnt mean we cant move vasher with him..... The offense was the lone bright spot.... If he can stay healthy im going to look forward to seeing Grossman play for a long time... who would of thought the one game our offense showed up we would actually lose .
  11. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) haha can't say I've heard of the guy, but I never really know a lot of minor leaguers. Boras client first pick of the draft didnt sign till somewhat recently and is the brother of the top prospect in the devil rays system....
  12. the guy is just hyping up his own players..... does it really matter what he says anyways....
  13. if Angels were offered Erstad for Wells idonno why they wouldnt do that... Wells would be their 5th starter so if he sucks it wont hurt you much but he has the potential to do good too. He was awesome with the Padres just a couple seasons ago.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) Hey Balta, I'd just thought I'd show you this stat; No doubt Buffalo's Offensive Line was terible this season (wasn't Mike Williams a waste of a draft pick), but losing Flozell Adams basically killed our season. I think if we still had him healthy, we could very well still be alive in the playoffs today, but that's JMHO. You would of been in the playoffs if it wasnt for your stupid late game meltdowns.,.... first Washington game, the Seahawks when Bledsoe threw that int........ had to be 1-2 others.
  15. I always liked Mike Sweeney... he has always put a hurting on us when we played KC but he is just a hard guy not to like.
  16. QUOTE(Beltin'Bill @ Jan 14, 2006 -> 06:22 AM) You are probably right. However, isolating the root of woes in Cubdom is a pretty difficult science. I am the staunchest opponent of talking about luck to explain how a team does, but I seriously think there might be merit to this curse talk. With the exception of Derrek Lee, everything they touch seems to turn to mush. How about Aramis Ramirez and Michael Barret
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) DBAHO: Australian for beer. Is the biggest soxtalk nerd with 38,000 posts
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 13, 2006 -> 10:21 AM) Any true fan of the game would have a problem with a individual match-up getting 3 times the coverage of a match-up between the two best teams in the league. Notice I said "true" fan. So you probably don't qualify. So your saying Spiff isnt a "true fan?" Hell id rather see Kobe vs Lebron too so does that mean im not a "true fan" Wow you really are something
  19. JimH Id just like to say after this thread..... your my new favorite poster on soxtalk
  20. idonno maybe 5-10 years ago it would be but I think now with all that s*** they can do that he will play again but maybe it just wont be next season..... whatevr happens I wish him the best of luck.
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 06:07 PM) Alligator are badasses..... http://www.ejbdotcom.net/content/1762.html Tigers are MuthaF***in Badasses Ok les see how that tiger does in water vs the alligator where they are quick....
  22. If it was baseball or basketball maybe I would think he did something bad..... but in the NFL where contracts arent guaranteed and teams cut players or fire coaches without a 2nd thought.... no I dont mind someone going to another job where he will get a longer contract and get paid more.
  23. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) As the torch gets passed from Frank to Paul . . . Paul is carrying it well. Eh Konerko will never have Frank's torch.... not in my eyes.
  24. QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) Ummm, he's a Yale and Harvard graduate. Yeah, complete dumbs***. :rolly and you dont think money helped? He also got a DUI in his 40's and said he was only a kid back than....
