Mazara and Right Field Thread
Why in the world would the giants not be sellers??

Mazara and Right Field Thread
I don't think it would be an insane ask. His age is not on his side and it's not like he's been a superstar. The question tho is if the Giants are going to trade him. So far they've been very reluctant as they seem to feel he sells tickets 0_o.

Offseason Targets
I highly doubt deGrom is available after the Mets got new management... but i guess we will have to see the direction they go.

I appreciate your work here... you’ve moved me in a more optimistic position on stroman and gaussman. Im a bit reluctant to concede on the matter based on just a few statistics, but you’ve given me a seed to think about on these two guys with a solid argument. Cheers

I love using stats in the way you did here but with all due respect it just doesn't make sense when you talk about a guy like Bauer. Bauer has proven that he has another level, a level of being the best in the league. He's done so on multiple occasions now. His worst enemy seems to be he tinkers himself out of it. Stroman has very little potential left. He's a serviceable arm, but signing him you hope/expect for him to make it through the year with a 3.7ish era. Gaussman has some potential, but hasn't realized it yet.

A package headlined by Steiver would be enough for any rational trade. Rangers have handled the situation poorly. Should have sold Lynn at high value.

Yeh, I thought his OBP was higher based off of 2019's .389. I guess that AVG of his really brings it down. I'm still a big proponent of his!

Offseason Targets
IDK, I'm not thrilled with Quintana/Stroman/Keuchel. What about a realistic trade here: Us going after Lance Lynn and Joey Gallo? Texas should be rebuilding and has no need for assets that are quickly turning into free agents. It should not cost us an exuberant amount of pieces. For us, we get a much needed top starter in Lynn and a Left handed batting corner outfielder that adds a ton to our line up with his high OBP and insane power. I'm a big Gallo fan and that to me would be significantly better than most other options in the OF.

Offseason Targets
Let's have some fantasizing... For OF: Any of Springer, Starlin Marte, Nimmo, Conforto, Gallo, Mike Yas/ Yelich (pipe dream trade) would be cool with me. For SP it is a bit more murky. I don't think we have a chance in hell at Bauer, but I'd take Bauer obviously. IMO we really need a Top starter, so I prefer trade (if we don't get Bauer). Maybe something with Milwaukee for Burnes/Woodruff/Hader in the pipe dream trade (lol). Maybe deGrom (unlikely obviously). I really don't know where the W'Sox can go from here. Not a lot available ?. I'm pretty open, but the only thing I don't want is band aids like Quintana and Stroman leading our offseason. I need an ace to feel happy. I'm in the camp that Keuchel is going to suck next year. Giolito seems ace quality, but we can't rely on our rookies to mend the gap.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
Gotta say -- I don't really follow managers. Anyone have a short detailing of pros/cons of Hinch? pros/cons of any other managers out there? Hard to decipher through all these posts right now. On one hand, of course I don't like Hinch being a cheater astro... but on the other hand if he really is super talented and a breath of fresh air from the Cooper/Renteria stages, this might be an amazing thing.

Cooper also out
I'm so happy for this! Getting rid of cooper's old school BS is a great advancement for the future of the team.

Would adore conforto or gallo if we can lock them up long term

Yas is not a young dude, he is a late bloomer -- I really expect the Giants to explore trading him.

Offseason Targets
For RF: Starlin Marte, George Springer Possible: Mike Yastrezmski (LHB), Nimmo, Conforto (unlikely), Garret Hampson (ehhhh), David Dahl (hm), Off the wall possibilities: Nolan Arenando (Move Moncada to RF, eck), Kris Bryant (to the OF), I've had enough of the B.S. with shitty players. It's time to win. Get us quality. Enough of the journeymen trying to find their way, bring in elite talent. IDK who else might be available. But the W'Sox either need to sign one of those first two guys or get creative.

Because he has one year left. They need to do something or lose it all. IDK their money situation, but seems like a good move on their part.

That would be a D- offseason. I don't see it. I think you are being too pessimistic. Gotta think Jerry/Rick go into this offseason looking to make up for their mistakes this year. They have the team to win and they know it now.
