  1. Joc is a major NO to me. He's a LHB and hits power which is awesome, but we don't need another black hole type in our lineup. His power goes and he's utterly useless.
  2. For bare bones nothing and for the OF
  3. Lets go get Kris Bryant.
  4. Whats the consensus on people that aren't WS fans? They do look at Renteria as a good manager? Would the world be shocked if we fire him?
  5. Really hoping for the W here, I think we can beat the 'Stros.
  6. Opinions on Cubs/Marlins? I'm not a cubs hater like the rest of this board is, I actually like all Chicago teams, but I feel like they've been better than they should have been this year. Team really isn't that good. Marlins? Of course they shouldn't have made any noise this year... yet here they are one win away from the final 4 in the NL. Funny season.
  7. Ah, and so the Twins/Indians are already out of the postseason. We win our game against A's and we are the last surviving AL Central team. Go figure. The White Sox are on the rise, those other two teams are on the fall. The AL central tide has turned. PS Go Rays
  8. Damn i get off work at 2pm and ill be biking home so ill miss at least three crucial innings... was hoping the game started at 3pm ☹️
  9. The logic behind it; Ricky's thinking
  10. That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard 0_0
  11. I just don't see the W'Sox beating them, that's all. Their a competent team and we aren't. Oakland is not on playoff level after losing Chapman. They find ways to win, but they don't have shit. Twins have a good enough SP with a legit offense and a team that didn't limp itself down the season. White Sox look like pretenders right now.
  12. Ok bro let's talk about putting in Carlos Rodon in his first game back. I'm sure that was to save someone right
  13. Oakland, huh? That's an amazing match up. Cleveland would have sucked, big time, with their pitching staff and how we have been playing. New York would have been OK, but their hitting is scary and I think would decimate our weak SP. Oakland really doesn't have shit. Their offense is not good, their pitching has outperformed their skillset. Honestly, I'm super happy with that -- I think the White Sox will own this. I do have them losing to the Twins in the next round tho.

  15. Let's try not to embarrass ourselves tonight. Win or lose.
  16. Can we talk for a moment on just *how* embarrassing this team is right now? I woke up today, checked twitter, and was shocked to find the twitter universe unanimously making fun of our white sox. Why? Because the team that has TA is hitting batters for bat flipping. It's one thing to be laughed at because we can't play baseball... every team goes in slumps, some massive. It happens. It's another thing to be laughed at because we are a hypocritical, backwards ass organization. That was a complete embarrassment. Did Rickey decide this? Someone else? p.s. the cubs handled that situation extremely well and showed how class of on organization they are.
  17. Rockies really need to learn to trade. They've had a log jam of players for what feels like years now. They are also rumored to be trading Nolan Arenando this year. Or at least, open to it. I'd love to get Dahl or Hampson.
  18. 2021 Free Agent Tracker is live: https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/free-agent-tracker might be worth a bookmark!
  19. Can we ever start a game where we are the ones to score first?
  20. Agreed 100% -- can't be afraid of good pitching. Gio has to pitch like a #1 if we are going to view him as our Ace for the future.
  21. Roberts struggles are really worrisome, not because they aren't expected, but because we are heading into the actual games that matter (playoffs). Renteria's management of the bullpen and negligence in making switches in the line up (Mazara / Edwin / moving Yoan down or switching things up) is problematic. Yoan completely shitting the bed. But other than that, things seem pretty good to me. I'm really worried about Yoan/Roberts.... but I don't think this past week of games is an indictation of what this team will do in the playoffs -- I think it's a bad stretch that they will work out of as a team. Roberts tho seems to have hit his rookie wall and Yoan isn't the same player from last year, combine that with the black holes of Edwin/Mazara and this elite offense starts to look pretty mediocre. Tonight's game will be a lot of fun.
