  1. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) I agree. After that blooper fell for a 3-run single, I thought the game was OVAH. If the Angels can find a way to beat Lester the molestor tonight... they will win the series. Lester has been nearly unbeatable at Fenway. The last game he lost there was April 9 against Detroit. Chances of him faltering in the midst of Red Sox nation are very slim.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) Dude...there is. It's called "Outs" When it approaches 3, a Frank Caliendo ad is approaching. Ha . . . if that's true than I'll be leaving the living room more often.
  3. This post season would definitely be a lot less stressful if there was a tv announcement on the bottom of the screen warning everyone that the Frank Caliendo ad's are coming up. That or a time clock . . . would be appreciative.
  4. OK, I have a question for those of you that were actually present at the time of the hippie counterculture and the mad disco days. Is there any difference between those tight Levi's jeans compared to today's? Could it be that they were more colorful or less colorful or the fact that all there was to wear were bellbottoms? Just out of curiosity, but I can differentiate some differences such as attitude and emotional expression's.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 08:48 PM) If we win on Monday do you think Ozzie brings back Vazquez to pitch in TB? It should almost be a no-brainer that he should go with Buehrle. Mark has showed that he can grind it out when he is on short day's rest. Vasquez has been way too inconsistent and to give him the ball in a do or die game would mean that Ozzie is perhaps just sending him out there to make a statement. In other words, that statement wouldn't provide the team with much baseball left to play.
  6. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) Future White Sox chone figgins with a single. I was just thinking that. A player like Chone Figgons in a White Sox uniform would be adequate for the team because he has the ability to play multiple positions. He has just about everything the Sox need to fill that hole in the top of the order for year's to come.
  7. QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) Was Swisher looking up to pray? Yeah, but he never gets an answer . . .

  9. I thought this was White Sox Interactive when I saw the length of this thread . . .

  11. This game was so slow paced that I fell asleep without knowing and woke up not too long ago. I did manage to see the Manny HR. It's incredible how he just flipped the bat and made it seem like the ball was never going to come down. He has definitely turned that team's appearance into a contender and with a short series like this one, they can ride today's momentum into tomorrow's game and possibly go home with a 2-0 lead.

  14. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) Awesome win, awesome job by Danks, that was unreal! What an up and down year! Have they given an estimated distance on Thome's homer yet? 461 ft. according to one of the guy's on WGN
  15. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) My whole thing with Clayton is we really need that arm in the pen. I consider Thornton the 8th inning guy, and since Horacio Ramirez isnt technically a pitcher, we dont have a guy for lefties. I wholeheartedly agree that Clayton should not be left behind. He will make the playoff roster and will be a key arm in that bullpen. In case that Vasquez does wet the bed early in the game, than you will see Clayton in there.
  16. It's better to have Vasquez out there after having three of our guy's going out there, one doing better than the other. This current scenario is somewhat similar to a not too long ago stage performance that had one pitcher going out and feeding off of the previous pitcher. Anyone else grateful that it's not Clayton Richards, at least? When I heard Hawk and DJ all high on Richard, it was as if they were completely blabbering about anything that didn't involve commentating on the current issue at hand. Trying to get to that 163rd game . . . and now that we are in, the coaching staff isn't going to put an inexperienced youngster who had one good game in New York. Overall, thanks Clayton, but it's time for Javy to show that he is capable to pitch when he is really needed. That first game can always have a big impact on the overall series.
  17. Very intense game. It wasn't what people thought it was going to be, a pitching duel that would decide the game with the mistake being done by one of starter's. All I can say is that this is very nice after getting swept in that dreaded Humphrey Dome. They (Twins) are a completely different team when they are on the road. It's as if they are clueless when they are not playing on turf. It's sweet to see the champagne going all over the place. Geez . . . what a feeling.

    Lottery 'losers'

OK, I'm not an avid lottery player, but like the Hawkaroo says, "You can't win if you don't play." And since I'm in hope of getting lucky some day, I get hyped up when I do play. It just so happens that this past Friday I bought a couple of the daily three and played it straight, meaning that I'd have to match the numbers in exact order. Well, I chose my b-day and my little brother's b-day #'s, but it just so happens that I "thought" I knew my own brother's b-day. I check the result's not too long ago and the #'s matched my brother's b-day #! What a freakn' loser!

  22. There isn't much that changes in my daily activities unless the weather is surprisingly bad. I am committed to do the following though, which in exchange will be a step forward for the spring to come. Spend more time studying Spend more time on the guitar Clean up my Star Wars collection Spend more time with the family Work on my Camaro and El Camino Get my membership up and running at the gym
  23. Accepting is part of what being a White Sox fan is about. If you've been with this team longer than what the season has offered, it shouldn't be anything of strange nature.

    Paul Newman

His life-time dedication to the film industry was truly a blessing. He was always a likeable character in whatever role he took on. Whether it was cowboy, prisoner, hustler, or grifter, he gave the effort of a very well dutiful man. In other words, he did not disappoint. Hollywood has lost a good one. May he R.I.P
