  1. My post was in regards to moving Robert. That is the worst OF in baseball. They need production there.
  2. Hes not bringing back a return right now. You're moving him just to move him.
  3. They won't do anything if they move his money. And if they do, it'll be the same veteran 1 year 8-10 million dollar deal that has yet to ever work out. Luis Robert may be overpaid but he will give you more than whatever you replace him with on any part of the diamond
  4. They need outfielders way more. They have the worst OF in MLB and thats with Luis Robert. Trading him for some projectible 4/5 does little and you can likely get it in 6 months anyways. Robert should mean more to the development of the kids already up then he likely gets in a trade.
  5. Arguable but not what I was addressing there.
  6. Yea this whole discussion has gotten weird. It's clear posters here want to make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Sox have the worst outfield situation in baseball even with him and he is certainly not even close to blocking anyone. Nothing good can come from him leaving the roster. If there return is great, then whatever, but the thought process above is just really dumb.
  7. Sure. You'd get the same type of return at the deadline anyways. He's not even close to blocking anyone yet you're trading him for the sake of trading him. Any protection and stabilization he can offer to the younger players is worth more than these names.
  8. Yeah I see no reason to trade him with these returns.
  9. Trading Robert at this point would kill a lot of the good will of signing Murakami.
  10. Anyone know why theres a big drone show over the stadium right now
  11. Sox will pay out over 40 million after the posting fee.
  12. James Madison Oregon was fun. 1000+ yards of offense and everyone scoring at will. Yes id much rather watch them than Notre Dame.
  13. Offers would just be the same next year. Nobody in Japan throws hard anyways so he'd face the same questions. And most he'd make in Japan is like 2-3 million. So he'd delay another year towards MLB free agency (on the other end) while also still leaving tens of millions on the table even on the lowest ends.
  14. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/47325229/mlb-offseason-2025-26-free-agency-rumors-update-passan-tucker-bellinger-bregman-bichette-valdez " There are still starters aplenty available. Chris Bassitt is the best of the bunch for teams seeking innings -- only five pitchers have thrown more over the past four seasons -- and Lucas Giolito has the highest ceiling. Nick Martinez and Zack Littell are steady strike-throwers, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander quadragenarians with enough stuff and know-how to succeed, and Tyler Mahle and German Marquez tantalizing to teams that dream on what they could get out of a full, healthy season. Walker Buehler remains a prime bounce-back candidate, Patrick Corbin a lefty who can pitch forever and Michael Lorenzen an ever-ready swingman. Depending on prices, truly every team could target this tier. Among those who have been most aggressive in mid-tier pursuit, according to sources: the White Sox, Orioles, Angels, Nationals, Mets, Padres and Diamondbacks."
  15. Why is this thread 5 pages? Do I want to know?
  16. Isn't that happening with the 78?
  17. Okamotos deadline is January 5th. There was at least some genuine interest from the Sox there.
  18. Elko is back with a MiLB deal. Obviously won't see him for awhile regardless
  19. Cena pretty much booked the show. Guessing thats what he wanted. Go out on your back, or tapping, I guess.
  20. Don't know why im either bothering to watch but this team is horrendous.
  21. Seriously. Sucks they get bailed out
  22. Can't stress enough how I hated not protecting him. Classic rule 5 pick profile. More importantly, a guy you invested millions of dollars and resources into and who mostly performed last year in a position of need and you let him go for nothing while having an empty 40 man roster. Makes 0 sense. Hopefully we get him back. I'd prefer him to our own rule 5 pick I would think but with the empty (and bad) roster, not like it's an either/or.
