Mayweather v. Hatton
Hatton should stay up. There just isn't much at 140. 147 is, obviously, loaded. In fact, maybe not for his next fight, but a Hatton/De La Hoya fight is probably all but done. PBF, well, there just isn't much for him. Some say Cotto, but I just see another easy W. And then what? Paul Williams? He's got a ridiculous reach, maybe he would be the one to give PBF some trouble.

How many sox?
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:50 AM) It will all be worth it if Roger Clemens makes the list. Curt Schilling too. Not because there's any chance of it, but because I hate him as much as I hate Clemens. As for the Sox, I think we'll have the least of pretty much anyone, but still someone. The Rangers, Orioles, and Mets are going to have some 'splainin to do though. It will be interesting if Damon and Clemens show up. Sue SI for slander?

Tejada dealt to the Astros
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 10:14 PM) If anyone's on the Mitchell Report that's not named Bonds, he has the initials M.T. I can't imagine the Astros doing the deal if that were the case.

Small Market team in a Large Market
What is our payroll in comparison to these small market teams? Curious.

If his name pops up tomorrow, I'll probably do something I regret.- Tejada dealt to the Astros
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 09:41 PM) I think Tejada is in the Mitchell report and the Astros have to just say "so what we need the production and to hell with the PR". If that were the case, I doubt the Orioles would have gotten such a return.- Tejada dealt to the Astros
I'm surprised, Tejada would be one of the top guys I thought would show up in the Mitchell Report. Guess not. Which makes me wonder if the report will be as juicy as it could be. They may be limited to naming mostly American players. How many guys are getting their drugs from other countries? the other evidence for those will have to come from clubhouse workers, former players, etc who saw them do it.- Official Squared Circle Thread

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 04:24 AM) That's the way the market is going. The White Sox are eventually going to have to pay that kind of money or become Pittsburgh. We're all willing for our owner to spend that money... as long as that money has actually done something in MLB.- Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 11, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) I'll be impressed by him, or Blain or any of those guys, when I see them someplace where they are NOT on camera. You just don't know how much is staged (with all plants) and how much is trick photography. Go see a magic show then. Someone like a David Copperfield is just as impressive as them, and he's on stage.- Video Game Catch-All Thread

Hey everyone, this is Ryan Clark with your weekly reminder that LIVE tonight we'll be providing free coverage of Monday Night RAW. This is how it'll work. Around 8EST, come back to this exact page and continue refreshing throughout the night for updated results. It's that simple. We'll be posting live updates as the show airs. Tune in TONIGHT at 8EST. Here are some backstage news, rumors, and *Spoilers* for tonight's show..... It's the RAW anniversary special and it starts one hour earlier at 8EST. Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan are confirmed for this show. Mick Foley, Eric Bischoff, Trish Stratus, Tammy 'Sunny', & Lita are confirmed as well. There will be a Battle Royal featuring many past and present names. Expect lots of surprises here. 2 Cold Scorpio, Jim Neidhart, Steve Blackman, The Mean Street Posse, Gangrel, Scotty 2 Hotty, Marty Jannetty, Ted DiBiase, Bart Gunn, Gilerg, Mae Young, Bastion Booger, Barry Darsow, Lita, Sunny, Trish Stratus, Steve Austin, and MANY others are all at RAW today. Some will do backstage cameos while others will be in the Battle Royal. Former ECW Champion Steve Corino is backstage at RAW and is expected to get a tryout tonight prior to RAW against DH Smith. He may work under a mask. I'm also told he may be getting offered a tryout as an agent/producer as well. Corino had a meeting recently in Stamford, CT. about the possibility of working full-time for WWE. We'll see how it goes tonight but it appears he is looking for work. It has been confirmed that Barry "Repo Man/Smash" Darsow and WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik have been booked for tonight's Raw's 15th anniversary show. Iron Sheik managed The Sultan (a masked Rikishi) in 1996-97. Darsow appeared on Raw's second ever show in his "Repo Man" gimmick in January 1993, but left the company shortly there after. Henry Godwin is at RAW. Sid Vicious is also at RAW. He's sporting a baseball cap and sunglasses so we believe it's him. Hulk Hogan is in the building. Al Snow is confirmed for RAW. Rob Van Dam is backstage at RAW and will appear. Matt Borne will appear as Doink. The Godfather is at the show and will appear. Bill Irwin will appear as The Goon. Look for all the agents to make appearances (Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Michael Hayes, etc etc.) Evolution (Randy Orton, Big Dave Batista, Ric Flair, & Triple H) returns for one night. Expect them to start the build for Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania 24. There will be a 'McMahon Family Portrait' segment where they will do a family photo with Hornswoggle. Steph, Shane, Linda, and Vince will all be there live. Vince McMahon will name the all-time greatest RAW star which I'm guessing is him. Expect a beatdown of McMahon with Stunners, Legdrops, and so on to end the show. Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito in a Ladder Match which has the potential to be sick. Expect loads of other surprises. Brock Lesnar, The Big Show, and Rena 'Sable' Mero will not be there. Is The Rock there? We will see. He was contacted. The Rock was in every ad I saw for tonight, so he better be there.- Official Recruiting Thread II
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:02 AM) If you want to know the difference between Ron Zook and Bruce Weber, and more noteably the direction of their programs, look at tonight's showdown between #1 Whitney Young and #5 Homewood-Floosmoor in hoops (and SIU fans, Kevin Dilliard is the truth, but back on target). The best player on the floor tonight, for either team, was none other than Illinois FOOTBALL recruit Supo Sanni (despite the fact Illinois is recruiting 3 different players on Whitney Young), who had 25 points and 15 rebounds as H-F pulled the 66-55 upset. Yeah, Weber should stop focusing his recruiting on the 3 star, 4 star, and 5 star guards because they were outplayed by a football recruit. He should be going after better players than these already very highly rated guards. Heck, just go after football players instead. Seriously, it's an interesting subplot, but to turn that into a negative about Illinois basketball is just stupid. These are some of the best players in the state regardless of what happened tonight.- Official NFL Thread

QUOTE(max power @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 02:45 AM) Their rotations are what seperates them in my mind. The indians have 2 people likely to pitch at the league average and 2 below. Their careers say that to me. Which one of Carmona and Sabathia is league average?- LaTroy Hawkins
