Cat and T. Loxas are probably the two guys who've broken the most Cubs transactions over the last 5 or so years. The fact they both thing they're involved in the chase makes me think it's more than likely they are.

I would have agreed with you if it was any position besides catcher. Maybe they just really want to know they have someone at that position for the next 3-4 years they can rely on to at least catch the ball.
