  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) I see the Bears with at least 7 wins more likely 8 so dont think Leinart wil be available... as for Garza being the backup he has been behind Metcalf or whatevr the whole pre-season on the depth chart so no surprise there. One thing im not happy with is Gage at number 2. To me Bradley and Berrian have both looked better and in my opinion should be ahead of Gage on the depth chart. I don't think it really matters who the proclaim the #2 at this moment. All it means is that you'll see Gage across from Muhsin in Washington for the first series but after that you'll be seeing a lot of Bradley. Berrian will get his chances and Wade will get his usual amount of reps on the cross patterns. Gage has a ton of upside and is further developed than Bradley, who still tends to drop the easy passes, while making the spectacular ones. This should not be a shock to anyone.

    QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) When on a message board all sarcasm needs to be in green... I knew saw it as a sarcastic comment and I've been pathetic at picking up sarcasm lately.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) Is there some reason Kerry Wood didn't make the list? Hard to be washed up when the only thing you've ever accomplished in your career is one great game and one very good year.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) If Nomar were healthy and hitting well all this year...I'd still call him injury prone. J.D. Drew was healthy and hitting well all last year. I thought the Dodgers overpaid for him...because he was injury prone. (I was right). You need like 2-3 years at least in order to fully clear that title. Still, the fact that he's going to be out for the next 2 games should not make people happy that the Sox didn't trade for him. You can't be pining for him one second then you don't get him, he misses 2 games you you're glad you didn't trade for him. That makes no sense.
  5. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) well, the way i grasp it, either you're injury prone......or your not. didn't know you could shed that tag. The guy had a bad break injury wise for a few years, he has NOT been hurt at all this year. How can you call the guy injury prone if he's healthy for the entire season while putting up ridiculous offensive numbers?
  6. He's gonna miss 1 or 2 games with a sprained foot. I'd hardly say he's out for the season. God, the guy misses 2 games and suddenly he's back to being injury prone.
  7. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Damn, I love you guys. This is gonna become the funniest thread in Soxtalk history! I think it's close to that already. Anyways........... Far from it.
  8. Can you see these:

  10. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) I thought using green would be overkill in this case. I just really wanted to make that pic.
  11. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) Can you guys see anything? ^^^^ I see a great looking sig.
  12. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) What exactly is the injury? Likely to keep him out of the post season? Tightness in his lower back. It will not keep him out for any extended period of time. Most likely he'll be pitching this weekend.
  13. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) OK, I've just spent the last 5 minutes looking for an IMG button on my keyboard. Must be an upgrade. There is no IMG button on your keyboard. There is however an IMG button here:
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 08:29 AM) Bears notes - They signed J.T Sullivan for Green Bay as a 3rd/4th string QB. Gage will start in week 1. Oh and Garza's already out of the starting lineup. That can't be good. J.T. O'Sullivan will be on the Practice Squad. Gage was believed to be the #2 WR comming into the year and has held his spot. Mark Bradley will still see some time as the #2 on Sunday along with Wade in the slot on those cross patterns and Berrian on the outside from time to time going down field. Metcalf over Garza is not an earth shattering move.
  15. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) yes but they have more prospects coming up through the system. 4 of their top 5 will be in the majors next year.
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) If the Braves aren't number one than they are crazy. I do think the Sox will be in the top 10. 5 of their top 10 prospects will be in the majors next season. That will take a huge hit to their system.

    QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) milton's fine. he's white sox pedigree and no one can say that he doesnt know his s***. Yet he's extremely boring.
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Joe Theismann has picked the Redskins to win the NFC. That would almost have to be the stupidest thing I've heard all year. There's no bias on his part or anything. :rolly
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Sweet, thanks a bunch No problem
  20. Done and done.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Ok, so were you refering to me as being insanely biased? I was referring to both sides. There's a lot of bias for and against the Bears on here.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Hey Kalapse Is it cool if I use that sig at the Bear forum I post at? Yeah, why not. Which one do you want to use? I can put your name on it if you want.
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) What do you expect the Bears record wise? They'll more than likely break even this year. You can not underestimate the power of a healthy Brian Urlacher.
  24. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) I have to agree... Pine tar doesn't give him a 100 MPH fastball... I can't imagine why he'd need to cheat or why he'd risk it... A little extra bite on that slider/curve.
