  1. He's gonna miss 1 or 2 games with a sprained foot. I'd hardly say he's out for the season. God, the guy misses 2 games and suddenly he's back to being injury prone.
  2. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Damn, I love you guys. This is gonna become the funniest thread in Soxtalk history! I think it's close to that already. Anyways........... Far from it.
  3. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) I thought using green would be overkill in this case. I just really wanted to make that pic.
  4. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) Can you guys see anything? ^^^^ I see a great looking sig.
  5. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) What exactly is the injury? Likely to keep him out of the post season? Tightness in his lower back. It will not keep him out for any extended period of time. Most likely he'll be pitching this weekend.
  6. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) OK, I've just spent the last 5 minutes looking for an IMG button on my keyboard. Must be an upgrade. There is no IMG button on your keyboard. There is however an IMG button here:
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 08:29 AM) Bears notes - They signed J.T Sullivan for Green Bay as a 3rd/4th string QB. Gage will start in week 1. Oh and Garza's already out of the starting lineup. That can't be good. J.T. O'Sullivan will be on the Practice Squad. Gage was believed to be the #2 WR comming into the year and has held his spot. Mark Bradley will still see some time as the #2 on Sunday along with Wade in the slot on those cross patterns and Berrian on the outside from time to time going down field. Metcalf over Garza is not an earth shattering move.
  8. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) yes but they have more prospects coming up through the system. 4 of their top 5 will be in the majors next year.
  9. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) If the Braves aren't number one than they are crazy. I do think the Sox will be in the top 10. 5 of their top 10 prospects will be in the majors next season. That will take a huge hit to their system.
  10. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) milton's fine. he's white sox pedigree and no one can say that he doesnt know his s***. Yet he's extremely boring.
  11. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Joe Theismann has picked the Redskins to win the NFC. That would almost have to be the stupidest thing I've heard all year. There's no bias on his part or anything. :rolly
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Sweet, thanks a bunch No problem
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Ok, so were you refering to me as being insanely biased? I was referring to both sides. There's a lot of bias for and against the Bears on here.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Hey Kalapse Is it cool if I use that sig at the Bear forum I post at? Yeah, why not. Which one do you want to use? I can put your name on it if you want.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) What do you expect the Bears record wise? They'll more than likely break even this year. You can not underestimate the power of a healthy Brian Urlacher.
  16. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) I have to agree... Pine tar doesn't give him a 100 MPH fastball... I can't imagine why he'd need to cheat or why he'd risk it... A little extra bite on that slider/curve.
  17. QUOTE(VAfan @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) What I don't get is that Cotts appears to remain below Marte in Ozzie's eyes, since Marte usually pitches later in ballgames than Cotts. Yet Marte has issued 30 walks and given up 38 hits in around 43 innings. Somehow this hasn't cost us big time yet, but I'll pull my hair out if Ozzie has the same warped subsitution rotation in the postseason. Ozzie is going on player history when it comes to Marte and Cotts. Marte has been ultra dominate in the past, where this is Cott's first great year. Cotts >>>> Marte, yet the fact that Marte has been a shutdown lefty reliever in the past keeps him ahead of Cotts on the depth chart.
  18. Sometime ago you made a Garland wallpaper and someone called it "gay", that title could very well go for this one as well. It looks cool, just in the same boat as that Garland one.
  19. There is SO much blatant bias in this thread that it becomes unreadable. I can't wait til Sunday.
  20. QUOTE(VAfan @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) I understand perfectly, I just think it was a terrible decision. We played a whole lot of August with only 12 healthy position players, not the 14 who had helped us to baseball's best record. And for those of you defending Adkins, you do realize that he essentially blew two of the games in which he pitched. We had Vizcaino to fill that job, and he would have liked the work!! Viz can throw 2 innings. Adkins can throw 6+.
  21. 2003 - A 23 year old Josh Beckett steps up and wins WS MVP for the World Champ Marlins. 1997 - A 22 year old Livan Hernadez stups up and wins WS MVP for the World Champ Marlins. It's happened before where a very young pitcher plays expectionally well in the postseason, including the World Series. Hernandez was a rookie with 17 career GS and Beckett was a second year player.
