  1. Should of traded Garland he has been terrible lately!
  2. I so glad KW gave JC such a stupid extention!
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) Nate Silvers take from cheats blog. This is JR//KW baseball 101
  4. Captain of the ship is swimming. Everyone knows JR stance on FA and no help in minors. I am alive and well where am I KW said.
  5. Delcarmen could easily be dealt in a Dye deal since Gagne deal is official, it still could go down I say 50/50.
  6. I do not think he will be on live!
  7. Boston is giving a good package for Gagne, hell I would trade Jenks for that. Scraps is all they want to give for Dye or KW is a total idiot!
  8. Macoviak to Padres for a Minor Leaguer per Stark.
  9. Levine is the blind squirrel that finds the acorn..................Screw BrUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUce
  10. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 12:33 PM) I have a feeling a whole lotta nothing is gonna happen today and White Sox fans around the world will be very disappointed and a lot will call for KW's head as it would be obvious he will not be able to rebuild this team with him as GM. Yep.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) That's such bulls*** though....it's such an excuse being stated by KW. Milwaukee and Atlanta had no problem giving up highly rated prospects for players. KW is HORRIBLE at trading veterans for prospects, end of story. I'm not looking forward to the excuses we'll hear in the press tonight if nothing happens. Agree KW is NOT much of a rebuilder at all!
  12. QUOTE(gsoxs1 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 10:42 AM) Does anyone really take Levine seriously anymore? Good point!
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) Dye for Pena and Hansen, do you take that deal or the 2 draft picks? I do not do that deal!
  14. Dye chances 'pretty good' By Gordon Edes, Globe Staff While Foxsports.com is reporting that the Braves and Rangers have a deal in place for Mark Teixeira, a major league source said a short time ago that chances were “pretty good” that the Red Sox would complete a deal with the Chicago White Sox for outfielder Jermaine Dye. In exchange for Dye, the White Sox would get Wily Mo Pena and one of either minor league pitcher Justin Masterson or Sox reliever Manny Delcarmen. The Globe's Nick Cafardo broke down the advantages to the Red Sox acquiring Dye in a story Sunday titled "Dye has tools Sox need." Among other things, Cafardo writes: "There's no question Chicago White Sox veteran Jermaine Dye [would be] a solid righthanded bat, a good defensive outfielder, and a good person on the team. He [would] fit nicely with the players and he knows manager Terry Francona, who coached him in Oakland...Dye, 33, will be a free agent at season's end, so given that Boston has J.D. Drew tied up for five seasons, he [would be] a half-season rental." Dye is hitting .235 with 19 home runs and 52 RBIs this season.
  15. Rotoworld Phillies acquired second baseman Tadahito Iguchi from the White Sox for RHP Michael Dubee. Nice to see Phillies GM Pat Gillick making a quick strike here. Iguchi's .251/.340/.382 line this year isn't very impressive, but it still gives him 100 points of OPS over Abraham Nunez and he could improve the rest of the way. The Phillies will play him regularly and could bat him sixth behind Pat Burrell. Considering all they had to give up a lesser relief prospect, this is a steal. Jul. 27 - 5:12 pm et
  16. Sox might as well keep TI If KW wants to just give players away.
  17. I see Sox only making 1 trade involving Dye for a prospect.
  18. Or to hear Hawk say CY " Insert name" every time Sox offense sucks.
  19. KW cannot have it both ways on Sox ML system he has been a part of the problem also.
