No big surprise, although I do like Wasserman but he'll probably be called up sometime in the year.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) And it's a cabinet he choose. And it's a cabinet he stuck by. It's a cabinet he doesn't fire people from. It's a cabinet where Rumsfeld tried to resign repeatedly and Bush wouldn't let him. Which is why I never let him off the hook, but according to liberal UNI professors, Bush forced Powell out of his cabinet because Powell didn't agree with his plot at taking over the middle east.
  3. I have a strange feeling Anderson will do well this year. The job is almost falling to him.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 10:58 AM) Why is it that people constantly let Mr. Bush off the hook. "Oh, it was just Cheney and Rumsfeld, if Bush had it to do over again he'd know better". The dude still to this day defends the Iraq war as practically the greatest decision he ever made, at every opportunity to pull back he chooses to escalate the conflict, I haven't seen a shred of evidence that would convince me that if Bush had it to do over again, he'd be more open, more practical, or more dovish. He got the war he wanted with the people he wanted leading it. I never let Bush off the hook. I just think he has had a horrible cabinet.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 04:06 PM) Even at Crede's best, I doubt he was as good as Brandon Inge and Pedro Feliz. I'd even bet that there are several who are right on par with him, such as Ryan Zimmerman, (a healthy) Eric Chavez and Mike Lowell. The legend will only grow once Crede is gone, by the way. By the time I'm 40, I'm pretty sure Crede will have hit 50 homers during the 2005 season and had range going all the way to the second-base bag. lol and spit in the eye of opposing pitchers.
  6. QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 11:20 AM) This reminds me of the Will Ferrell line from Anchorman: "I'm not even mad, I'm impressed!" lol nice.
  7. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 09:44 AM) i did. very interesting to see the inside workings of the office. imo the piece made Bush, Tenet and Powell to seem better than I originally expected, with Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld made out to be the idiots of the group. I didn't watch it, but I'm not surprised they were made out to be the idiots of the group. If Bush could have a redo, I would think, or at least hope he wouldn't put some of his dad's cabinat into his administration.
  8. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 05:42 PM) Cubs NEVER have a schedule like this............Sox get the shaft every year! Or there could be more suckier teams in the NL.
  9. Looks like I shouldn't have gone back to bed after the first inning.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 10:38 PM) 9PM start. Gotta love it. Not a bad time for you I would guess.
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 11:28 PM) Well, there ya go, Billy. Nice, I'll have to watch it.

    I miss Toucan Sam.
  13. QUOTE(iamshack @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 12:56 AM) Perhaps some of the ladies that frequent our site would like to offer some advice... I'd like to hear from them as well if possible. I know this was my question but if someone else was to have some situation kind of like this, maybe it will help them too.
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 12:39 AM) Well, you've at least made yourself known. If she wants to start something with you, she can find you...can't she? You would be correct, she knows how to contact me.
  15. I might be coming off as more sensitive about it than I really am. And I'm probably making it sound like a bigger deal than it actually is. I think it comes down to I regret not trying for it a few years ago and I didn't want to make the same mistake this time.
  16. I'll take a guess. Is Kip Wells or Scott Podsednik playing?
  17. normally on most terrible stories I can find a sick laugh, but not on this one, this is one of the worst I've ever read.
  18. I was shocked when I saw that he was cut.
  19. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) I'll be up, planning on making an event out of it. Beer and hot dogs will be aflowing. I have 6 weeks of college left, I pretty much have to. I wish I was where you were. Hot dogs sound great.
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 07:56 PM) You like the shadow she is casting. Eventually, you have to step out of the shadow and see the real her, and she sees you. That's deep, I like it though. WhiteWashed, that also makes sense. haha I would've thought I would've learned not to tell someone how much I like them like that in high school but if I did I didn't remember it.
  21. I missed Big Bang Theory tonight, dangit.
  22. I was going to go with message boards but I decided to go with ESPN/TV because there's where I learned most of the stuff back when I was little. Baseball cards were also good at learning stats and knowledge. I honestly hate talking sports with most people, not to sound arrogant and I'm sure many of you also deal with this, but the common sports fan doesn't know a whole lot, so I have a problem with made up stats or whatever else they talk about.
  23. It's been great watching it. I like seeing the lower seeds make it to the Sweet 16.
