  1. Thome's Homies or just plain Pablo Ozuna, that's cool enough as it is.
  2. I liked Konerko's quote about if they get into a fight they'll be ok.
  3. The Mavericks are the first team to clinch a playoff spot, not a surprise there.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 07:03 PM) Like I said in the Game Thread today, they corner the market on young, studly, black position players. Weeks, Fielder and Hall are 3 of the best in the game and are only going to get better. I gotta say I absolutely love watching that team play. Now Ben Sheets needs to keep his ass off the DL, if he can do that they're pretty much set. I started paying attention to them in 2005, partially because Carlos Lee was traded there, and I miss playing them since they're not in the American League anymore. But I also love watching them play, or at least listening to them play through XM Radio.
  5. I think they could be a dark horse this year in that lackluster NL Central aslong as they stay healthy. They have a lot of young talent in Hall, Weeks, Fielder, and Hardy along with guys like Clark and Jenkins. The pitching is probably the biggest concern.
  6. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 05:22 PM) . Maybe we need to add some more states? If I recall correctly Texas has the right to break up into 5 states, maybe you should start the petition, haha.
  7. 1. Yankees, A's, Red Sox 2. Yankees, A's, White Sox, Red Sox, Twins, Angels, Indians 3. Tigers and Mariners 4. Yankees???? 5. Tigers, Royals, Devil Rays, Rangers????
  8. ok I'll try to take a crack at this. 1. Yankees, Braves, A's, (I want to say the Red Sox and Cardinals are somewhere around there too.) 2. Yankees, Braves, A's, White Sox, Cardinals, Red Sox, Astros 3. Tigers and Diamondbacks 4. I want to say the White Sox but I think they've had a season or two below 86 wins, so I'm gonna go with the Yankees 5. Tigers, Royals, Rockies, and Devil Rays this is interesting because I was wondering the same thing earlier today.
  9. I'm trying to figure out who all is going to be on the roster and right now I see 15 position players without even counting Fields or Sweeney that could make the team. I don't think Junior Spivey will make the team which would bring it down to 14 position players and 11 pitchers. Anyone else have opinions?
  10. Carl Peterson being #16 is too high imo. He's not a bad GM for the Chiefs, there are just better people below him.
  11. I love Bill Hall too. Timo Perez with a catch in right field for the Tigers.
  12. This doesn't really matter too much but I feel like complaining about ESPN. Last night on their bottomline, they showed the final score, White Sox 13 Cubs 2. Then after the score they show people who played and had good games. The only two they showed were Soriano 3-3 and Lee with a homer. None of Konerko's 2 homers or Dye's 3 run shot. But I guess this is ESPN.
  13. haha I was 8 and I actually thought he was going to be playing with the Sox, not in the minors.
  14. It could be another Michigan and Ohio State matchup. I thought Michigan shot themselves in the foot too much yesterday and in their first meeting it was a close game for most of it.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 07:11 PM) We got our asses kicked, the end. CU was just a much better team this weekend. I'm just hoping we don't get screwed now. It'd be wrong if S Ill did. I could see them doing it though just because Creighton was a bubble team somehow even though they shouldn't have been considered one.
  16. David Wells wearing a size 58 jersey? 2001 might've been the biggest waste of a year our pitching staff had with him and and Todd Richie.
  17. "American Girl Cubs Apperal Day." We should be jealous.
