If she's still with him, I'm surprised, if she's not, she'll find a better athlete to marry.

Erstad's baserunning
QUOTE(StatManDu @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 01:07 AM) Erstad had speed and the picture on the homepage of this site speaks to his aggressiveness on the basepaths. In addition, he was a two-time state champion in track and field in high school (110 and 300 hurdles). His stolen base stats during his Angel days, when healthy, are more than respectable. That's cool that he was a 2 time state champion but how long ago was that. I'm sure he's lost some of that speed, the question is how much as he lost.

Extreme Weather Poll
QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 9, 2007 -> 06:21 AM) Reason #3 I am giving in this thread for heat over cold. Do you want to watch good looking people adding layers or taking them off? Cold Lover: "I'd love to see that new woman in compliance in long underwear, two pairs of socks, a turtleneck, sweater, long pants, parka, gloves, artic boots, hat, face mask, scarf . . ." Hot Lover: "I'd love to see that new woman in compliance at the beach . . ." pretty tempting to switch to warm weather, but I'll stay with cold because sometimes there are women you just don't want to see taking off layers.

The Pledge at Public Schools
QUOTE(shoota @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 05:28 PM) I'm glad American citizens have the right to not stand for the pledge, but the people whose reason for not standing is to irk those standing are trash. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Anna Nicole Smith dead
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That I understand. But isn't there some amount of selfishness in calling the deceased selfish after the facts? "He killed himself and it's my fault. Now I have to grieve the rest of my life over this." That's not selfish? I can see where you're getting at too. The bottom line is if someone kills themselves or even wants to kill themself, then something or someone messed up along the line. I personally have no sympathy for anyone to kills themselves because that's their own choice. I just feel for the loved ones of that person.

Anna Nicole Smith dead
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Well, a start would be not to call the person selfish, eh? you don't call the person selfish, the family blames themselves for it.

Anna Nicole Smith dead
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 07:17 PM) "A first sign of the beginning of understanding is the wish to die." - Kafka I never understood why people think it's selfish. Have you (I'm talking to everyone here) ever been so unbearably depressed that you wanted to kill yourself? Talk to anyone that has, read all the literature about suicide out there. It's not a matter of selfishness. I'm not defending Anna Nicole, but it's ridiculous for people to cast off something so serious as "selfish". Perhaps if people actually took time to figure out why somebody wanted to end their life, it'd happen less often. Calling somebody selfish is only adding fuel to the fire, it's only pushing them further away from where they want to be. If you ask me, it's selfish to judge those who only need acceptance. Yeah I agree with Steff, it might not seem selfish because someone's just taking their own life, but the rest of the family has to deal with it wondering what they could've done to prevent it. It's just not a pretty situation, it's happened in my family before.

I'm hoping MB is once again. And he possibly could be, but for upcoming free agency to make the big bucks.

US Defeats Mexico 2-0
They said during the telecast that a lot of Mexican-Americans will wear their Mexican gear on top and their American gear under and switch to the American gear if the US is winning. How loyal is that?
