  1. This team has had the lead in every game and is looking like it'll be 6-4. What have there been, 3 9th inning collapses already?
  2. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) How many of these started with: "stay fair!, stretch! or that ball hit deep!" ? Not many with stretch when I hear it at least. It seems like it's not even close a lot of the time with "stretch". I don't like that Hawkism at all. I'm going to go with a dark horse and say Blastro was well. Either that or no one is hitting one tonight. If a fan ends up with it, I'm hoping they give it to the organization if the Sox want it. That'd be a nice thing to do.
  3. QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 09:56 PM) that Twins offense is brutal so far. Looks like Brian Fuentes added a palmball this year. he was throwing something at about 78 mph, and the grip looked like the palm I'm not surprised they're using Cuddyer at 2nd to get Thome's bat in the lineup nearly everyday now.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) i hate watching it Luckilly I can't watch it tonight otherwise I would be for sure. Mediacom eliminated 32 games or something and this is one of them, so all the fans here are going nuts.
  5. Yeah when Fuentes is trying to get 5 outs for the save, good chance the Twins will end up doing something, at least tying the game.
  6. lol Matsui swung at bal 4 and 5 but oh well. It'll come down to the little things all year. Hopefully we do them better.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 05:35 PM) I seem to recall someone doing that to Joakim Soria on Wednesday... Which I wasn't able to see. I can see this.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) The analysts made a good point, 1st basemen should have been guarding the line on Span's hit Definitely, but 3 hits on 2 outs is just plain annoying.
  9. Nothing like just turning on the Twins game seeing them down 1-0, then they get 3 hits all near outs, just outside the gloves. Now it's 2-1 Twins.
  10. Man I'm getting old. I remember him coming up in the big leagues. Great career, but too bad for him steroids could easily cloud it even though he has an outstanding hitter.
  11. Double plays are fun to roll, especially in the 9th.
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) If Blue II gets in the game, this night wont have been a waste. lol this made me laugh hard. They should've done that. He might've had ankle breaking defense instead of a crossover.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) If there are 3 other .500 teams in the Central, the Royals won't be able to pile up enough wins to get to .500. One of the 3 big spending teams in the Central would have to implode and go for 65-70 wins. If that happened, I could see the Royals creeping into 3rd place and pushing up towards .500 at the end of the year if they're bringing pitchers along. I think a simple way to say it is "If Justin Verlander gets hurt, the Royals have a shot at being a .500 team". Yeah I'm thinking they won't be a .500 team but last year the AL East had 4 teams over .500 and the NL West was really close to haveing 4 over .500. We won't see the AL Central getting 4 over .500 for a long time, if ever. KC would have to go on a killing spree against the AL East or West which I don't see happening. People are saying this series isn't a big deal and we'll sweep them or if we split, who cares. I don't think this series is that big of a deal, but what happens if KC wins both games? Craziness around here!
  14. Twins win by 1. The first of probably 50 of 1 run wins, who knows though. Nathan didn't look sharp. Gave up a run, 2 hits, and 2 walks in the ninth. 2 hard hits for outs as well. 31 pitches, 15 strikes, 16 balls.
  15. Getting back to mid season form huh? We hit into a triple play and the Twins get a bunt single on the same exact play.
  16. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) I like the movie Major League. The Indians are in that. They have that going for them. They will always have that going for them. Major League 2, Angels in the Outfield. The White Sox are the bad guys!
