  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 30, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) How were all three girls impressive, do tell? lol sorry for such a late response because I haven't looked at this thread since then. But I was talking about the movies not the girls haha. 1 girl wasn't very impressive and another was so-so if you wanna know haha.
  2. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 09:48 PM) I know everyone is slurping Rose for MVP, but Dwight Howard needs to get some national love on that front. He has single handledy carried our team this season, in past years when we have done well it's been a team effort, but his offensive post game has improved in leaps and bounds this season. 6 of his last 7 games he has scored more than 30 points, 40 points tonight with 15 boards and 6 blocks. Yeah man he's really put his game to another level recently.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) Boozer played in the late 60s. I doubt that there would be jerseys out there from then. Plus, they changed the jersey style since then. Good idea though! http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/53274453....5E3F37A05DA936E It was a joke, I should've used the green colored text.
  4. Very cool Knightni. Sounds like Carlos Boozer should've worn 19 so all you Bulls fans who have Bob Boozer #19 jerseys wouldn't have to buy a new one!!!!!!!
  5. Singleton and Ravich both think if the Sox play to their capability they're the team the beat in the division.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2011 -> 10:46 AM) Damn, I forgot about Williamtell. lol. He's the one Jazz fan that exists outside of Utah. My cousin made me a Jazz fan when I was little so there's 2 of us at least, haha.
  7. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Feb 22, 2011 -> 08:27 AM) Looks like I need to get a PS3... I haven't had a gaming system since N64 but I've been itching for some virtual baseball gaming. Yeah man my brother has a Game Cube that I used to play and I've played the Wii a few times but before I got the PS3 a few months ago I hadn't really played video games in 5 years. Glad to be back and astounded how awesome the graphics are.
  8. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Chauncey, Melo, Amare. Worth fearing despite no supporting cast? I would say no. Boston, Miami, Chicago, Orlando, and maybe Atlanta are still better IMO.
  9. Looks like I need to get The Show when it comes out next month.
  10. This is probably an absurdly dumb question. But I don't know since I took like a 5 year hiatus on playing video games until this fall. But is The Show the best baseball game out there? Isn't there a 2k11 as well?
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) The Sox #1 goal this season (aside from the obvious goal of winning games) should be to win the season series against the Twins. Had they won it last year, they would have been in the playoffs. They shouldn't be happy with anything less than 10 wins against the Twins. I think Dunn is going to have a big influence on that too. Having him in the middle of the lineup, as opposed to Mark Kotsay, should have a pretty profound effect on the entire team. This is the biggest thing they need to do in my opinion. I feel they NEED to win the head to head against Minnesota. It's crucial to dominiate in the AL Central games as well, not just the Twins.
  12. He's a nice lefty to have on the team.
  13. Too short of a career. Thanks for the memories!
  14. I didn't see a thread so I made one. 20 year old Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500. I was hoping either Bobby LaBonte, Mark Martin, or Tony Stewart would win since they haven't won a Daytona yet, and who knows how many more Daytona's Martin and LaBonte will have. But it sounds like this Bayne kid is a very nice kid so congrats to him.
  15. This year's dunk contest was fun to watch with all 4 four participants. DeRozan was the shortest dunker at 6'7" so with all the taller guys that had a major vertical, it brought some awesome dunks.
  16. Wow this job sounds pretty awesome, but at the same time if I had it I might never watch another game again after seeing every single game this year.
  17. lol @ Taj Gibson. Looked like 0 for 6 on hitting the rim.....or the backboard.
  18. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) Then why'd you click a link titled SI Swimsuit thread? To increase the post count, just like this post is.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) It's really not that hard J4L. Adam Dunn. Carlos Quentin last year was Adam Dunn in RF, except he hit That's what I was getting at. His defense is horrendous. People can say his offense will make up for his defense, and who knows it may, but it'll be interesting to see how many balls Quentin misses that an average right fielder would make.
  20. Carlos Quinten was still somewhat of a God looking to repeat his 2008 form.
  21. It's a tough one to decide. I'm glad everyone has a vote.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) Sure. Which is exactly why they would spend it on Pujols. I'll say it today. Albert Pujols will never have a World Series ring after he signs his next contract. At least he has one already, but I'd agree with you. If he was interested in becoming a DH, I'm sure the Yankees would gladly make room for him in that role, even close to 30 million per year.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) So as long as you can keep the team competitive while never sniffing a title you should have permanent job security? They've been to one conference final since '98. Losing to the Bulls 13 years ago has nothing to do with today. They were never gonna be anything more than what they've been. Time to move in another direction. It's all the eyes of the owners maninly as well the fans. And in Utah there's probably a huge emotional attachment considering it's their only pro sports team. Most fans of the Jazz love Jerry Sloan and are sad to see him go. There's a reason why he's a Hall of Fame coach and I don't agree with Sloan should've been gone a long time ago. In 23 seasons he only had 1 under .500 season. For the most part I believe he got the most out of his teams. Besides Boozer coming to Utah, I don't know of any above average free agent coming to Utah ever. It's just a hard place to get players to come to.
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) The losing to Michael excuse was cool, I don't know, 8 years ago. But you don't get to play that card for eternity. Over a decade ago. Time to move on at some point. Should everyone be fired who doesn't coach Boston, Detroit, Houston, Chicago, LA Lakers, Miami, San Antonio? Because only 7 teams have won a championship in the last 27 years. Showing there's not much of a chance for the other 23 teans. This sucks but Phil Johnson will do a decent job with them.
