Now that was a nice hit. Nice drive. Not trying to park it with an overswing. More of that. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) Another awful AB for Alexei. The way he's dipping his back shoulder is pathetic. Walk found a translator. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) I still can't believe how awful Jermaine looks at the play with RISP lately. Its simple, the guys get into scoring position and its pucker time. The squeeze the bat so hard, and swing so hard hoping they can hit the 9 run homer every time. Line drives = bad, singles up the middle = bad. Only majestic homers that arch through the crisp night are the winnah. -

Nice to see the pull offense in full effect. He didnt dip his back shoulder enough. This homer or nothing offense sucks. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) Yep...I can't even imagine Broadway going against the Tigers. Its embarassing that we are going to war for the last couple of weeks with Broadway and Richard throwing batting practice. I feel like Felix Diaz, Danny Wright and other Arnie Munoz are back to solve our 5th starter problems. -

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) Pathetic display of execution tonight. 0-4 in bunt attempts, are you serious? I dont know why Ozzie didn't let Alexie swing that bat with that dude being so wild. Why give up an out when you have 3 cracks to win the game. Oh well- they deserved to lose that game. 0-5 vs the Jays this year, not good. They have the formula that beats us. They keep the ball in the park, and dont walk the world. If we cant bang the ball over the fence we are done. We cant score any other way. Its over the fence or we go home. -

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) Well, thats nuts. He pretyt much carried our team in big situations. And now with pretty much everybody struggling but Paul and KG, we're gonna be struggling with no Q What are you talking about. Last 7 days Uribe .313 Ocab .333 Swisher .294 -
There is no reason that you get only 2 hits against AJ f***ing Burnett.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) run for the hills, this.team.is.dead. Chill the hell out, we lost to the hottest team in baseball and won 2/3 against the 'best' team. Its chaos in the streets for a loss, and a quiet golf clap for a win. haha They 2 hit us. We messed up 3 bunts, they had 3 errors and we lose 3 -1. Lets not act like this was running into the impossible dream. This was a winnable game. Bad execusion by players with the pucker factor going on. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 03:56 PM) Mac had been good up until today. Inglett right on the plate. Throw inside and back him off. Pressure is off, he looks good. Put some pressure on him, he buckles like a belt. -

Game. Remember this gas can looked great when the pressure is off. The minute a little pressure is applied he folds like a tent. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 03:46 PM) AJ is f***ing terrible #2 hitter. Why the f*** does ozzie still have him in that spot? Magic 8 ball. Remember in 05 he had Everett just doing nothing in the 3 hole up until a few weeks before the playoffs, then he made the change. I dont think he will make the change right now. Ramirez up top would be nice right now. -

We have to be the only team that cannot execute a simple sacrifice bunt. Pitchers in the NL can do it. -

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 10:57 AM) Damn straight, but you and I have to come off of it when we pull back into the driveway. When I pull back into my driveway I can still be on the clock. It depends on what you do for a living and what your companies policies are. In a lot of telecommuting jobs or people who have to support a home office, the lines between the home and work blur a bit. It requires personal restraint and knowing what is truly you being on the clock. My home office is a full extension of my work office. My work phone moves over to my work phone in my office when I log in at home. My internet is 100% expensed every month. I have expensed some meals at home. Yes its my house, but when you get impacted on your weekend for an unexpected critical issue that takes up 36 hours of your time, I think a 10 dollar meal is more than palatable to ask.

Thanks Swisher for taking another pitch for strike 3 to end the game. Swing the f***ing bat, its a pennant race for the love of god.

I hope Eric Cooper gets crabs from his hotel toliet seat.

Well the twitchy, itchy, special little ball of spasm is about to come out and electric slide on the mound. Hopefully we can walk it off and make fun of him.
