  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) like say, hiring a lobbyist to get millions in earmarks Or buying a house really really cheap.
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:33 PM) So far, not overly impressive as a speaker. Better than McCain though. Oh sly 9/11 drop-in there. Rudy must have left some of his 9/11 cold germs on the podium. The change germs must of mutated.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:32 PM) If I heard right, the VP speech has been written for a while now and they simply "Palin-ized" it. LOL
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) Oh don't give me that "He is the one" crap. Oh please carry on with your snark and yelling at the TV. RSO will save the day.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) Why don't you go look up what he did in Chicago. You know like trying to get kids in school and off the streets. Crazy liberal type stuff. Then he took two fish and fed an entire crowd, then turned water into wine....oh wait thats another diety. Carry on.
  6. The twinks are showing a lot of chinks in their armor. The pucker factor is getting to them as well.
  7. QUOTE (Soxy @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:24 AM) My sister has taught in Wheaton (where she is currently) and also at Hope Wall (in Aurora), and she fully supports the kids that are boycotting. After hearing her stories about the disparities just within those two suburban districts, I understand the boycott too. But I have no idea how to fix the problem. There is a slight disparity in what I pay in real estate taxes compared to the average Chicago resident.
  8. Rongey is on the radio right now talking about how putting Boone in the game was a good move. Because it proves that he can't handle it. He threw the ball last night well and that was encouraging so thats why he got the shot. LMAO
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 09:16 PM) MacDougal looked decent. At least thats one positive Sure, in a blowout he looks decent. He also suffers from Spincter Puckerus. Put him in a tight game, and he gives it up.
  10. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Why isn't BA pinch hitting? This is outrageous!!!! Because our manager hates him. If there was ever a doubt.
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) Toronto wins! Thank god Next 2 series Angels Weaver who owns us Lackey Saunders Burnett Litsch Parrish Halladay
  12. QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) This bad stretch was very predictable. Our schedule gets slightly easier the rest of the way. Why dont you gander for a minute at the numbers the sox put up against Friday nights starting pitcher Weaver. Think Johan but better. Thats how he pitches against us. Then Lackey. And then we get Halladay next week. I see easy driving ahead.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) Brian Anderson's on deck. GFY OG The ball boy has a sore shoulder, or he would of gotten the call.
  14. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) There is no time clock in baseball....anything is possible Turn off your Xbox and go to bed.
  15. Tomorrow is a must must win. We face Weaver on Friday night. He has owned us more than Johan has in his brief career. Check out his career numbers against us. Its like a a major league facing children.
  16. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) Ye of little faith LOL
  17. We keep getting this type of managerial effort and its October golf for the team.
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) 5-3....but cleveland with em loaded and boone about to wet the bed with 2 outs Nothing like bringing in a pitcher with the bases loaded who is alergic to the strikezone.
  19. Wedge calls back Marte to have a pinch hitter. Meanwhile Jerry Owens hit in a crucial situation. Makes sense.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) Teams have benches. Teams use benches. Teams play 162 games. Players, individually, don't play 162 games anymore. This is not so hard to fathom, and it makes enough sense to me. Who would you use to PH for Owens there anyway? Crede already left hurting, Griffey and CQ hurting and out. That leaves, I believe, Brian Anderson and Toby Hall. I'll take Owens. Anderson has been on the bench. However the ball boy gets the call before him. The purpose of a 4th OF is to provide defense, and the occasional start. He never starts, and barely gets called to be a defensive replacement. Anderson and his D should be out there.
  21. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) I ve never posted that this team has no heart but it's obvious that something is off,the sox are one the highest scoring teams in baseball and have been shutout for going on 14 innings, something is not kosher...not to mention the series vs the bosox We have been shutout 11 times, which ties us with last years shutout efforts.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 06:21 PM) I look at the line-up and see Swisher in LF, not a product of the White Sox organization, Owens in CF, a semi-product of the White Sox organization, but certainly not with a "Borchard swing", Dye in RF, not a White Sox product. Crede at 3rd, perhaps you have an argument there, Cabrera at SS, not a product of the White Sox organization, Ramirez at 2B, his first year in the USA, Konerko at 1b, not a product of the White Sox organization, Pierzynski at C, a product of Minnesota, and Thome at DH not a product of the White Sox organization. If you have a beef, it should be with KW for acquiring players that play a way you don't like. Evidently there are several other organizations that must teach the "Borchard swing" if your statement has any validity, which I believe it doesn't. How did my statement have anything to do with anything but our minor league instruction.
  23. Owens, 5 hits to get it out of the infield. And a man who needs a guy to cut it to the cutoff man.
