  1. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) To think the Red Sox offered Iglesias and we said no. Our ability to scout position players is stellar.
  2. QUOTE (South Sider @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:14 PM) I have a flight later and all of todays commitments are completed... I'm debating just cracking open a beer now. There is no debate, you know the answer.
  3. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) 19 and 88 are goal-less after 4 games. With this roster, you aren't going to win a series with that. The Blues best player has shown up in spades. Can't say the same with the Hawks. DING DING DING, we have a winner.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:53 PM) Oh f***. Wow. Thats a crap play in the regular season.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:07 AM) Know your Greg: Does anybody know/remember why I had reservations about Nate in the past? Probably some random reason that has nothing to do with facts is my guess.
  6. Nice play to finish it. Winnah. Good night Greg.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 12:00 AM) Wait ... I thought our bullpen was fine the last 2 years and I should go to bed. Remember to have mom turn on the night light and leave the door open.
  8. From 0-2 to full count, to a leadoff walk. Attack the zone.
  9. Lawrie is officially baptized himself as a sox player there. He gets picked off, beats the throw and forgets to get the bag.
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:40 PM) Bullpen did not reek last year, it was serviceable. Dont let facts get in the way of a made up narrative.
  11. That was a difficult play by Abreu. Nice job.
  12. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:00 PM) Still working out some kinks. One thing is for sure though, it's really nice to watch a real defensive CFer Its great watching him in CF.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:58 PM) Apparently Brett Lawrie can't hear and thinks he is super man out there. Outfielders have priority on that play since the dawn of baseball.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) Why throw it that high? He was trying to throw it through the wall behind the fans behind the catcher.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) 2 errors helped RR This is what happens when you hit the ball instead of striking out. See Royals, Kansas City.
  16. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) just an awful play by marcus. He fielded the ball nicely. He just didnt finish the throw and the ball sailed on him. That should of been an easy play as his momentum was moving towards the bag.
  17. You know you are playing in Oakland when the fans sound like they are watching the mens luge or a soccer game.
  18. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 3, 2016 -> 08:13 PM) Good to see the Royals luck starting so early into the season Cespedes Swarbered the ball in left extending the inning for the first run. Thats not luck. Thats everything everyone knew about Cespedes being summed up in the first play he was involved in.
  19. QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) Most sports programs should be moving towards it. Many high schools around here are removing the passive stretching from the practice routine. We don't do normal stretching for my sons travel team. Its dynamic warmups and jaeger bands.
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) This dude is a nut job. Math is bad. Bunting is great. Throwing at peoples heads is fine. Managers need to kick dirt at home plate. Computers bad. You cant run over people anymore. Pitch counts are evil.
  21. Defense is something that this organization needs to do a better job with overall. Defense is something that requires lots and lots of reps, proper evaluation at the minor league level and a work ethic by the individual. You don't have every amazing play, just make the plays you should. Our infield defense can be good. It really requires lots of work and buy in by the individuals. Right now Tim Anderson should be getting as many ground balls hit at him as there are hours in the day. He is athletic enough to be good fielder.
  22. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) Don't know if this has been mentioned, but I'd trade Keon Barnum or Josh Phegley for Fowler. Our comp picks have always been terrible, and Adams was a 2nd rounder that fell in our lap. Maybe we should forfeit our 1st rounder because of the Gordon Beckham pick. We have problems with our 1st round pick success so lets start with the 2nd round. I never understand the logic of selecting further back because of stupidity in the past. Lets go further back because of stupid decisions in the past. I am sure other teams would value having 3 picks in the top 50.
