I love it Just as I figured, Carlos Fatbozo is all bark and no bite. That's the worst bit of 'fighting' I've ever seen. Did he even make a fist ?...or did he plan to continue slapping and clawing at Barret? Not only do I never want to see that P.O.S in a Sox uni., I don't want him throwing against us either. That MF'r is exactly the kind of dick who will throw at someone's head and end a career.....but I guess it's cuz he's so passionate and sometimes kinda nutty, right? Pfft.

Pursue whatever you think is a dream (writing) NOW. You can always fall back on the more secure career (computer networking) later. It's much easier than trying to do it the other way around.

QUOTE(Steff @ May 31, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) Right. And I agree. Though a different nickname has been given to this child and it makes no sense. I just want to see if anyone picks it. 'Chava'? The Spanish equivalent is Salvador and we call them 'Chava'. Tori?

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2007 -> 07:14 PM) The Grudge and The Ring are only scary if you find the jerky movements of the killers scary. I didn't. The only creepy part of The Ring was the little girl climbing out of the well and coming towards the screen, the rest was silly. The Grudge was a joke.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 30, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) You know, I tried this today, and it really felt like it made a difference. Nicely done, thanks. For the folks who were talking about lat pulldowns earlier, have any tips on technique for that? Alwasy wondered if i was doing those anywhere close to correct. There are a few different ways to do them properly, but I've heard from numerous people that one way you should NOT do them is to pull the bar behind your neck. Although you see it a lot, it is an unatural body movement and you risk injury. Same for behind neck barbell shoulder press. Anyone have any insight to this?

'The Shining' and 'The Exorcist' should have the top 10 slots. You guys can fight over the rest.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) Do some exercises that isolate your shoulders and chest, and when you do stuff that works both go lighter and do more reps. Some good stuff for chest is cable flies and even decline doesnt hit your tries that much. For your shoulders try doing some front and side raises or upright rows. Also, do some straight bar benching but with a really wide grip. The closer together your hands are the more it works your tris. I've always heard that isolation type exercises like the ones you're describing are mostly for shaping and definition, but won't give you much gains in size. Not true?

I was not impressed and actually kinda bored by Boston, but I really enjoyed Fenway. Fenway is in MUCH better shape than Wrigley, but the bar scene and atmosphere around Wrigley is a MILLION times better...if you're looking for that. IIRC 'Fenwayville' consists of like three bars. The fans that sat around me were friendly and very interested in Chicago. I don't really see the Red Sox as a huge rival, so maybe that's why I'm not bothered by their fan base.

Sorry, but while there's great advice flying around, I'm gonna hijack this thread and ask another workout question. I have decent size shoulders and chest but HUGE triceps. It seems that on a lot of chest and shoulder exercises, like flat bench, incline bench and military presses, it's my tris that are doing the majority of the work and thus the difference in size. I've tried barbells, dumbells, machines and different grips and form and nothing seems to work. Any advice??

Not sure why but I watched Alpha Dog last night. Overall not very good, but I didn't know that a lot of it was shot around here. They found some obscure places in So Cal.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 29, 2007 -> 07:01 PM) I can't blame a hitting coach as I don't really think he has a lot to do with veteran players struggling. Now if we had all young guys and they weren't getting better, I could see blaming Walker. Walker is simply not going to get established players like Konerko or Crede to change what they're doing or do something different. He isn't the one up there hitting lazy groundballs, swinging at crappy pitches and trying to swing for the fences. One could not possibly believe that Walker actually instructs these guys to go up there and have the mechanics they have. I'm sure he knows they are sucking and I'm sure they are aware of it. It's up to those guys to figure it out and get on track. If I blame anyone on the coaching staff for our problems, it'd be Ozzie, not Greg Walker. Blaming Walker is the dumbest thing I read on this site on a daily basis. I'm not saying you're wrong, you make some interesting points. What IS a hitting coach's primary resposibility? If it's just or mostly to develop younger players, that's not much responsibility, is it? What would need to happen with this offense for you to believe it might be time to try someone besides Walker? -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 29, 2007 -> 12:29 AM) Silversun is pretty good I've only heard that one song, maybe I'll give them a listen.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 26, 2007 -> 08:33 PM) I tried looking for a bad one of her and couldn't find one. I don't mean they don't exist because she had plenty of fugly moments this season. I wouldn't say she's extremely hot, but she's definately not in the 5% either.

QUOTE(The Critic @ May 26, 2007 -> 10:50 AM) The goofy-looking wackjob on the Denver Real World falls into the other 5%. No clue who she is. Pics??

Best all time FEMALE rock guitarist is ........?? Throw some names at me. This popped in my head as I was (finally) listening to the Rodrigo and Gabriela disc. Solid record and an interesting cover of 'Stairway To Heaven'.

I don't understand not telling family and friends. The only people who elope are 16 years girls who got knocked up by their 24 year old, meth head neighbor. That way when the parents find out and demand that she never see him again, ooops too late. They can have a small dinner at someone's house for the family and closest friends. A wedding doesn't have to be huge or expensive. I've never known of anyone to have a recepetion a year or two after the ceremony. I've known a few people who THOUGHT they'd have one a year or two later, but they realized the money could be used more wisely. Besides if this reception can be paid for by someone else later, whhy not have that person pay for it sooner?

QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ May 24, 2007 -> 02:26 PM) Well interesting turn of events. Shes going to her friends apartment for the weekend out in the city. Says that her friend is going to a party tomorrow night which the girl I like isnt interested in and says her friend has no problem with her having me over and us hanging out at her apartment by ourselfs. Ofcourse like you guys mentioned, at 17 as quickly as things are planned, even quicker they can change, so if this actually goes through it should be an interesting weekend. A lot of questions could be answered, and im sure a ton of new ones will arise. So, wait a minute. Her parents, who treat her like a prisoner, are allowing her to visit a friend who has her own apartment?? I find it hard to believe they'd even allow her to have a friend who has her own apartment. -
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ May 24, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) something that is overlooked is sleep. You can workout and eat all the protein you want, but if you don't get enough sleep your body is not going to properly recover Amen and something as simple as a daily multi vitamin in addition to everything else does wonders.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ May 24, 2007 -> 09:54 AM) Understood. I am starting to better understand whats going on with her parents , but all I can really do is know that in my heart I have good intentions. Im not someone who would ever use someone just for sex (at least without them knowing) or someone who would ever cheat. Id be willing to have a commited relationship, and treat her the way I believe women should be treated. That said, Ithink I have problems when it comes to attachment. IM not clingy and im not in anyway forceful because I keep it to myself, but I tend to fall head over heels for someone pretty easily and get easily anxious. I know theres plenty of fish in the sea, but I always seem to concentrate on one at a time. Then they get most of my attention. I do have a little bit of an italian temper of not liking being told what to do, but its really not as bad as it probably sounds. Sure I dont like the fact that me and her both want to hang out and still have trouble doing so, but if it was her saying we should do anything then id take it and not argue it at all. I feel you. Bottom line is you're at the beach trying to pick up one grain of sand. -

A few thoughts: The drama with women NEVER ends. If you continue to try to see this girl, it will be YOU who is creating the drama. I don't know you or much about this situation so I could be wrong, but I think there is more going on here. I think the real issue is that you don't like being told what you can and can't do. So it's become a little bit of a battle with her parents. It's not really about the girl. How am I doing? -
QUOTE(The Critic @ May 23, 2007 -> 11:11 AM) Well, with THAT kind of detailed description, who could fail to name that band??? "You know, it's the band with that guy and they kinda sound like that other band from a few years ago....." "Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pick Ups. Go on their myspace for a listen. I know nothing else about this band except that this song is Pumpkin-esque. I thought IT was the new Billy Corgan experience.

Fact: 95% of women between the ages of 21 and 30 named Brooke are extremely hot. I've never met an unnatractive Brooke, I just assume there have to be a few...somewhere.
