GT: 8/21 Spoiler Alert Pt. 2
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 06:19 PM) Can't figure out if he will ever start doing this consistently. We can only hope he turns into something worthwhile and not an enigma.

Ill advised throw by DeAza , needed to keep the double play in order by throwing to 2nd base.

GT: 8/21 Spoiler Alert Pt. 2
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 06:08 PM) I don't really consider Gillaspie to be a future cog on this team. If he does well, fine, but an 0 for 5 with 5 Ks wouldn't really affect me any. He's still a rook and said around the end of June he was just starting to get it at this level which is funny when you consider he hit best when he didn't get it. Still if the rest of the Sox had his eye and approach our OBP would be much better.

GT: 8/21 Spoiler Alert Pt. 2
Dunn rips a 2 strike single up the middle giving Sox 1-0 lead after Alexia doubled over the head of Alex Gordon. PK follows with a single.

How will ozzie be remembered?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 02:22 PM) "Your ass may get wasted, but my ass is getting pounded!" The only thing I take from this is you lost your virginity to a man or to a man while in jail. Some things just go over my head

GT: 8/21 Spoiler Alert Pt. 2
QUOTE (beautox @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 05:39 PM) that was horse s*** defense....nice work Dayan.... watch Rienzo's ERA balloon up again because the official scorer doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground... Unfortunately with a ball hit that deep and a complete miss of the glove 90% of official scorers would call that a hit. But I think they just changed it to an error.

DeAza steals 3rd since KC shifting on 3-1 pitch. Dunn swings through pitch on inner half. Dunn K's on another swing and miss on similiar pitch.

GT: 8/21 Spoiler Alert Pt. 2
Swinging at ball 4 on 3-0 pitch Alexei grounds to the left side. Dumb .Encourage Alexei to walk not swing at crap. Guess we didnt want 2 on for Dunn . More dumb .

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 04:25 PM) Let's go Rienzo, Phegley, Tank, Garcia, Dunn, Alexei, Beckham, and of course, let's go Royals. No Conor ?

Since there's no catch-all...
Is that Jose Contreras (aka the Bronze Titan) next to him wearing boxing gloves ?

Lindstrom Clears Waivers
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 10:39 AM) With the recent great outings Lindstrom has been having, I would imagine someone wants him to solidify their bullpen. With him clearing waivers, he can be traded to anyone. At this point I certainly wouldn't be shocked if he is moved, though keeping him would be 1 less BP arm to acquire in the off season in case the Sox are thinking of competing next year. He said he wants to be on the Sox in 2014.

GMing for 2014 Rebuild
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 09:13 AM) I don't think the Sox would follow through with a trade like that unless they were about 100% sure they'd be able to sign him to an extension. Exactly my point. Just not sure if there could be any negotiations while he's still with SD in order to be 100% sure.

Avisail Garcia is the truth.

GMing for 2014 Rebuild
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 09:05 AM) Would be great, but I don't think they'd sell low. Would be terrible. There's nothing about Headley to suggest San Diego won't wait til the trade dealine to hope he puts up decent numbers in the 1st half next year before they move him. Make no sense for the Sox future plans to acquire a guy headed into free agency. The only way that works is if the Sox trade prospects for him and then sign him right away. Chances are high he chooses free agency.

White Sox winner over KC threat
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 08:10 AM) I think we may be making a move on the Twins. Sox playing good ball now and slowly cutting into Minnesota's lead. Hang in there Sox fans! Fixed

QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 06:45 AM) I've never been a big fan of Headley and acquiring him is making less and less sense over time Even if you were a fan of Headley acquiring him for any package much less one of our stud ML or MiL pitchers does not fit into the the Sox plans. Can't give up any talent for a free agent to be .It just doesn't jibe with the what the front office is trying to do now. San Diego may shop him this winter but more than likely will hope he rebounds in the half half of 2014 and trade him at the deadline.

White Sox winner over KC threat
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 08:39 AM) Stop. (for reference's sake, if the White Sox went 38-0, the Tigers would have to go 16-21 to eliminate the White Sox. If the White Sox lose 5 games, the Tigers have to go 11-26) I have to think that was said with tongue firmly planted in cheek though you never know with Elrockin.

Avisail Garcia is the truth.
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 08:24 AM) Makes me think of GarPax which makes me angry. No. Made me think of Avatar Or if you prefer AvGar reminds me of Asgard , the home of the Norse Gods.

Avisail Garcia is the truth.
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 08:16 AM) I'm excited about him too, but let's not make him this into the next Gordon Beckham thread quite yet The biggest reason to be hopeful, to me, isn't that slash line (anyone can get hot for ten games), but the fact that he's been selective. He hasn't started walking yet, but if he keeps his O-Swing around league average like he has, the walks will come. And if they don't, it's fine because if he's only swinging at good pitches, he's going to be finding plenty of hits anyway. Still, it is refreshing to see the Sox winning since they acquired him and him being a big part of it. When you see him get 3 of the total 5 hits in yesterdays game , instinctively you think he's already a better hitter than anyone the Sox have. Like you said , he'll have to take his walks because he'll be getting less good pitches to hit when the chance of him hurting the other team becomes more apparent. I think his 1st HR , probably an oppo one will come any day now.
