Hill is Mr. Smooth in the OF.

Ever since I started seeing him in those Ankin Law commercials hes been hitting like a lawyer and a couple errors in the last week.

Your original answer didnt include "3B is only one spot " since you said one of your possibilties was Meidroth at SS and Ant at 2nd. I never imagined you'd put in Hill in LF and actually call that a better lineup.When he's just as bad as Acuna vs RHP, maybe worse. That pretty much left Benintendi for LF if you wanted a better lineup and then you have to change DH. But sure put Antonacci at 3rd after you just saw him get an interference call at 2nd base which is his natural position. Frankly the game results speak for themself .The Sox comitted no errors and Acuna didnt embarass himself offensively. And the world didnt end because Colson played 3rd in a pinch . It's called defensive flexibility.Its not exactly unheard of in the modern game .He's not exactly a butcher there. The whole reason for drafting SS is because they are athletic enough to field other positions. The coaching staff is awate of a lot more things than you are.

Oh obviously 🤣 Have you seen how bad Hill is against RHP ? Check his splits. It's not a lineup upgrade. Plus it's not as easy as just saying obviously ! A manager needs to know what Seattle bullpen arms are likely to get into this game based on usage the prior games . Maybe Venable figured there was a chance to get Hill a pinch hit against a LHP late in the game where his splits are WAY better and he's been one of our better Pinch Hitters. I doubt you checked Seattles BP or his splits before you casually said "Obviously." This is why couch potatos aren't managers.

Plenty of blame to go around. Peter's K with bases loaded ,no outs followed by Romo GIDP. Then Romo up again with saftey squeeze on and Meidroth gets picked off 3rd because Romo takes a high and away pitch . Meidroth supposed to wait for contact. Sox defense had 0 errors and was that play at 2nd ever given an explanation ? Because obstruction was not at all obvious when a runner is always going to slide on the outside of 2nd there.He had plenty of room

Sure he was. But the question I asked to someone else but Sacamano answered. And specifically asked then who gets put where if you take out Acuna and Vargas is out. He said Meidroth at SS Ant at 2nd . He never said he'd leave Colson at 3rd and I asked who plays LF then ? So I asked so you weaken the defense at 3 positions just just so Acuna doesnt play. His answer was yes because the lineup is better. Venable already tackled all those things and his solution was Colson at 3rd and Acuna at SS and everyone else plays where they normally play. Game results . 0 errors and Acuna got a hit and scored from 2nd on a hit and never got any AB with runners on base. Turned a nice DP too.

Your argument was weak if you just want to stick the argument that Colson shouldnt ever play third. Colson and Acuna arm , glove and range are all better than anyon else you put on the left side of the infield. And sure weaken all other defensive positions makes so much sense. I suppose you know a lot more than Venable right ? 🤣Taking Acuna out of the lineup makes all the difference this game somehow even though he has done fine at SS and 1 for 3 at the plate and scored a run.
