Oh obviously 🤣 Have you seen how bad Hill is against RHP ? Check his splits. It's not a lineup upgrade. Plus it's not as easy as just saying obviously ! A manager needs to know what Seattle bullpen arms are likely to get into this game based on usage the prior games . Maybe Venable figured there was a chance to get Hill a pinch hit against a LHP late in the game where his splits are WAY better and he's been one of our better Pinch Hitters. I doubt you checked Seattles BP or his splits before you casually said "Obviously." This is why couch potatos aren't managers.

Then Romo up again with saftey squeeze on and Meidroth gets picked off 3rd because Romo takes a high and away pitch . Meidroth supposed to wait for contact. Sure he was. But the question I asked to someone else but Sacamano answered. And specifically asked then who gets put where if you take out Acuna and Vargas is out. He said Meidroth at SS Ant at 2nd . He never said he'd leave Colson at 3rd and I asked who plays LF then ? So I asked so you weaken the defense at 3 positions just just so Acuna doesnt play. His answer was yes because the lineup is better. Venable already tackled all those things and his solution was Colson at 3rd and Acuna at SS and everyone else plays where they normally play. Game results . 0 errors and Acuna got a hit and scored from 2nd on a hit and never got any AB with runners on base. Turned a nice DP too.

Your argument was weak if you just want to stick the argument that Colson shouldnt ever play third. Colson and Acuna arm , glove and range are all better than anyon else you put on the left side of the infield. And sure weaken all other defensive positions makes so much sense. I suppose you know a lot more than Venable right ? 🤣Taking Acuna out of the lineup makes all the difference this game somehow even though he has done fine at SS and 1 for 3 at the plate and scored a run.

I never saw anything about an ACL, just deep shin bruise and mild knee contusion but there's been lingering pain and hes been out since March 27th after that collision with Antonacci. He started the season 16 for 35 in AAA which is .457 . Just 4 extra base hits but when your BA is that high your OPS 1.075 .
