White Sox - Injury Tracker
He's been pitching really good considering he plays for Charlotte, where pitchers go to suck.

And that is a better then .500 road trip White Sox winner!
I said he was a sneaky good pickup at the time. Didn't prove it right away but over time he has.

Reading the game thread after my last post in it 2 hours after the game. My goodness most of you are crazy ! It's just one game in the middle of the season. It was like y'all expected to lose. I must really be the oddball that after so many years of watching Sox baseball I don't get bothered by close games or losses. I do get excited when they do good things just not bummed after the wheels fall off slightly. s%*# happens. See ya in the playoffs where you can really lose your minds !

7/5 GT - White Sox @ Guardians (1:00pm CST)
Walk would be the good choice. It's just 1 game that the Sox can still win. No big deal. The best Sox team has yet to arrive.

7/5 GT - White Sox @ Guardians (1:00pm CST)
You could if you use a smart TV and download an internet browser. That's all I do . Normally I get the CHSN feed including pre and post game so this feed today is a bit wonky but watchable. You can write me if you want the web address once you have the brwser. I use Internet Browser . It has a round globe like symbol with latitude and longitudinal types lines in it with a yellow cursor arrow.

I's always like that for me. Using free ways to get games.

Bammmm ! Yea baby. If Colson could hit RHP as well as LHP he'd be superstar. 2 hits against righty Bibee.

I'll take the Sox in that kind of game even on the road on a wet field with a BP that's not in the best shape.

Wet field and ball to Vargas looked like it hit a seam. It's slippery out there for both teams

I do love me some Tristan Peters 2nd most WAR behind Vargas among position players.

Oh Will has all the M's in a row, Montgomary x2 & Meidroth. It'll look even prettier when Murakami returns .

Miguel Vargas - All Star
That's a legit beef but what makes the Sox so fascinating is that they are the sum of their parts. Our only surefire All-Star was Murakami but he got injured and lots of guys stepped up and got them through the toughest month of the season at 13-12. This is a testament to a team dynamic that was build on having good guys who fit a style of play and everyone from Getz on down bought into this vision. Be positive, be helpful, hustle, work the count, work hard, get on base, bash home runs and get more lefthanded. Antonacci had a great June. Vargas had the best moth of his career in May and had a better June. Tristan Peters is the biggest shock of all. He waited for the Acuna in CF gig to end and stepped right in as if he was born out there. He's been the most consistent defensive and offensive combination on the team, 2nd to only Vargas in WAR among position players. Davis Martin slowed down a little but then Burke steps up. But Martin deserves as much credit as anyone for how unexpectedly good they have been. Bryan Hudson might be the most unheralded guy on the team. What Colson Montgomery has done so far in MLB is amazing no matter how we want to complain about K's or being streaky . He struggled a bit in June but still smashing HR's and killing LHP. Who saw that coming ? The BP needs help ,definitely 2 arms but they are way better than last year. People were pushing trade Taylor last year at this time of year which I found incredulous. Jacob Gonzalez has shown a knack for driving in runs . Braden Montgomery has played well and is just starting what is hopefully a long tenure as the Sox RF. How awesome is that to say after years of RF being a wasteland. Same goes for 2nd base with Meidroth. He's doing better this year than last. That's what you want in young players. Schultz is back . Shane Smith and Tanner McDougal are pitching on rehab assignments . Mason Adams has been recovering very nicely from his TJ surgery. SO nice also to have Teel back ! MM the big bopper is returning soon. Help is coming from within so I wouldn't expect any earth shattering trades. As far as I'm concerned there's a lot of All-Star talent not only among the players but all the on field personnel. And the guy who created this rising from the ashes was none other than Chris Getz who was the biggest pariah on this board next to JR but Getz got a lot more ink. And before anyone reminds me about a flex or cautions me that we are far from a complete product and if we lose Mune it could be a disaster etc., all I'm doing is celebrating the moment. Congrats Miguel and the rest of you. You are all All-Stars.

Need a poll on who you want picked and another poll of who you think the Sox will pick.

Seriosly this isnt the days before free agency. I don't know what he's talking about. Players come and go and superstars aren't trapped on bad teams or stuck with negotiating with 1 owner.

It may not be up to the Sox, it's up to Mune. If they don't make him an offer close to what his agent thinks the free market price will be and a months worth of negotiations proves fruitless ,Mune will test Free Agency. If you offer 6 years $150 M and his agent thinks he should get 7yr. $200M then it might not make a difference. LOL Easy big fella you should know that JR hasn't even had a $100M contract. You think all of a sudden he'll do a $150-$200M one ? He don't want his kids stuck with a bad long contract especially when they're developing the area around the United Center. Maybe JR has nothing to gain if the Sox franchise increases in value if Ishbia already negotiated a set price to purchase. The one good thing is Ishbia could be a wild card in negotiations with Mune's agent.

He's going to be rusty as hell. You had to know this was coming. Venable said it a week ago or more that being out so long that usually requires a rehab stint in the minors. You don't want him presssing against the best pitchers when he's rusty. Even after a rehab stint he'll still be rusty.

That's pretty dang confident. I am not so sure. I give it 50/50 or even less. I hope they're lining up long time sponsors if Mune's signs long term. That might be the only way JR pays for him. Some big time sponsors investing advertising in a winning team with an international superstar is like welcome to the big leagues JR . But if Mune goes to Free Agency the chances become much less. He has to be resigned before he hits the open market and would help a lot if Mune hits just as well after he comes back and the Sox win the division. Lots of factors in play here.

RBI's do mean something. You keep driving in runs and it makes everyone love you.

Meidroth, ANtonacci, Teel, Colson , Quero all did pretty good out of the gate. Shane Smith & Vasil too. Peters, Mune. Maybe you're thinking about the old Sox.

It's the setup to get Latz

Of some interest? Lukas Walton buys into the Bulls
While the Sox floundered JR was buying as much property around the United Center as he could. Hold onto your property if you own anything in that area. It is only going up up up.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Trends June 15th the Sox reached their high water mark of 6 games over .500 so they've been treading water for 2 weeks. For the last month the Tigers and he Twins have got red hot with the bats and crept closer. The Guardians meanwhile have stopped hitting all together for the last month but the Sox can't shake them. Jacob Gonzalez last 5 games .421 .476 .684 1.160. Got himself to .2 bWAR after going 0 for 26. Braden Montgomery is at .4 bWAR while just staying consistently just OK with the bat so his defense must be looking pretty good. The last 28 days Sam Antonacci line. .313 .427 .488 .915
