Thats why they constantly bring in innings eaters. It takes time for starting pitchers to build stamina. Our young catchers might've performed well because they shared catching duties. It's a grueling position and their 1st time through a grueling MLB season. A lot of people were calling for a 3 catcher roster so they could both play every day but its good that rookies get rest . Keeps them fresh . There's always alternatives ways to look at performance.

No I dont think so. They might've been if Schultz and Hagen Smith didnt have setbacks but they had a lot of position prospects do pretty well. They just dont have a solid rotation or bullpen yet and its pretty doubtful that JR or Ishbia pays for significant upgrades. Sure people are speculating on it but my guess is it's not very likely. You're getting a little ahead of yourself here. Lots of work to do just to get to 75 wins.

I like how the Sox handled them. They didn't just hand them jobs, they made them earn it. Plus they know they werent winning anything this year. No need to throw away service time. Wait until they knock down the door to the bigs or at least get to the point where you will benefit more from the coaching at the MLB level and feeding off the positive vibes and success of your peers. I don't even recall anyone telling me where Bryan Hudson came from. Didnt the Sox just make a waiver claim on a Cubs 25 yr. infielder ? Could this be part of why Civale went to the Cubs ?

If I am recalling correctly C Montgomery was the # 22 pick . He still has to prove he's a good long term piece as do all the rookies but certainly quite a few of them have performed bettter than ANYONE could have predicted. Shane Smith and Mike Vasil were non factors in any discussion of top Sox rookies before the season started. Now you can put them in the same group with Montgomery , Teel , and Quero and perhaps Baldwin with a decent crop a year or 2 away + the mystery pick in the draft. also a bunch of pitchers will be coming back from TJ. Would be sweet if any of them can show promise also . And the Sox might get a decent pick exploring the Rule 5 draft again. They hit the jackpot this year .

The Pope won't let that happen and if he does it'll be for a good reason like no matter where they pick they'll end up with the best player 😁

Ok let me try that again. I listened to last night's CHGO show again . At the 11: 20 mark Sean Anderson said the Sox 2nd half record was 19-23 and in those games they were a +16 Run differential 222-206.

Maybe I heard wrong on the CHGO podcast .Sean Anderson said something about it being in the positve terirory. Maybe it was since the All Star break because he said they were 18-24 since the All Star break. Ill have to listen to it again because that seemed shocking to me too because of their record. Had stuff to do saw the Sox were losing 2-1 maybe 3-1 and Twinkies had the bases loaded and no outs. A little time goes by I looked at the score and it was 7-3 Sox. 1st thought in my head was they made a mistake so I scroll down to the highlights and I see Teel and Sosa go back to back and everybody driving in runs ! Ramos, Robertson, Baldwin, Beni, hold the phone Another Beni 3 run bomb makes it 12-3 !

I don't see a lot of name calling going on. As for mockery Soxtalk is full of mockery.You do it , I do it , people use memes to do it. If that is the reason for deleting posts and suspensions then you should have deleted your own posts 100s of time. You speak as if you are innocent of it. Now I know name calling possibly gets you suspended but where do you draw the line ? Do you have a list of names that is unacceptable? Once you go down that rabbit hole its hard to get out of it. Its better that he didnt win it. There are rules now that some prospects who are highly ranked gain a year towards free agency and some other things for winning ROY. Not sure that would've happened to Colson or not if he won. I dont know which rankings count towards that and Colson at one point dropped out of the top 100 in at least one ranking service after last season. Lots of new stuff from the last CBA I havent memorized or bothered to look up.

Still would've lost betting on Colson. No one is beating Nick Kurtz. Hes a lock at this point of the season.

I understand your pain but you know you still care because you're here. And you should care too that after reaching rock bottom things are progressing to a better future. It'll take some time and a new owner and yea probably a new GM if Getz is still here when the Ishbias actually dont pull out this time. But the reality of the current ownership situation means there wont be rapid progress and Getz is just here to tread water and try not to screw up anything major. Incremental steps forward is just more realistic and thats whats happening. I didnt make any money on the team reaching 50 wins but Im happy for the people who did just as I fine with people who won money betting against the Sox last year which includes Ptatc who routinely also thinks things have changed for the better in the organization. So it is possible to know how bad it was and to a point still is and still be able to look forward and see good things happening. I know that kind of middle ground stance isnt quite angry enough for some but I'll manage somehow.
