  1. I don't know man I'm apparently clueless for calling out the giddy haters for jumping to conclusions.
  2. Youre the clueless one. No one except the most negative knee jerk crazies jump to conclusions like you do. Why are you so quiet during wins and post up a storm during losses jack ass ?
  3. We'll see that's all I can tell you . It's asinine football mentally . This isn't 1 of 16 games. We're likely to take 2 of 3 from Cleveland . why the f*** are you laughing ? ARe you happy 1 game makes you a king for a day ? Look look everybody we lost to the hottest team in baseball 3 games in a row just like we did in the other 3 games against them without Castillo, Bart, Brazoban and Doyle. ANd this one was the closest we came. But sure keep being giddy so you can celebrate losses .
  4. Come on . Its one start if it continues to blow up then cool you win. He wasn't all that expensive and he wasn't an ace. You're blowing smoke up everyones ass.
  5. SInce when does a 1 game sample size matter for anyone especially a pitcher.
  6. Hmmm wonder who they might sacrifice off the 40 to call up a pitcher who isn't on the 40.
  7. That's why I gave the trades a C - . However tough team after the TDL so I didn't expect it to look great right away. We'll see how it plays out. Played the Red Sox 6 games in the middle of the biggest hot streak in their history.
  8. why does that matter? Baseball is full of oddities.
  9. Gotta keep scoring . Bello has to be running on fumes. He was last inning until we bailed him out.
  10. No idea why they sent Montgomery home. What's wrong with Murakami up with bases loaded 1 out ?
  11. I knew Boston would appeal at 3rd and I didnt even see if Vargas left early. Thats just the Red Sox
  12. what's up with these umps calling red sux runners safe when theyre out by a mile ?
  13. They seem very adept at going oppo and keeping the merry-go-round going.
  14. oops 'll get 1 Didnt check who gave up that 6th Boston run. There goes his scoreless streak.
  15. Watching the Bosux Feed The 6th inning is sponsored by BJ's Wholesale Club. They must do great business.
  16. Other teams might start pitching the Sox like Boston does, lots of breaking pitches down and fastballs up and many out of the zone.
  17. Yes but you can give it away if you want or just start it as soon as a rainout is official.
  18. Only Free Agents count to make it seem worse even though Mune is downgraded because he fell in their laps and could have fallen in a lot of teams laps. And using Dominquez doesn't count even though he contributed 3X as many save as the top White Sox save RP from all of last year and helped offset a good portion off the cost of 2 years of Castillo. I'm not counting the 2028 option since I'm pretty sure it won't be picked up because Castillo has long odds of reaching that innings count in 2027. No reason to exclude Newcomb since he was a FA but that's typical of that poster's sloppy data work. Apparently other off season acquisitions who've made impacts don't count like Hudson, Peters and Hicks . Plus considering the Sox were still rebuilding they left space for incoming rookies to make an impact like Mune, Antonacci , Braden Montgomery and Peters after Acuna failed in the OF. Plus they didn't have payroll as usual this off season so they used the trade of Robert's full $20M salary to sign Hays and Dominquez and the trade that netted them Sandlin and Hicks who hasn't given up a single run since May 20th.
  19. He already admitted (before your post) that it was lazy stat work by him not some profound statement on cherry picking. Oops. Do you really have to stick up for the most negative Sox opinions because you've been that way for the last few years and have trouble seeing that the Sox might be a contender before your 2030 statement at one point ? You're already dead on that hill but maybe the Sox will collapse in the 2nd half and have a bad 2027 and 2028 and you'll be happy and right .
  20. Unfortunately 1 bad call by the ump just emboldened Burke who pitches that way anyway and that didn't help CM at all. Last thing Gray needs is help from the ump.
  21. Does our manager not know about Bart's reverse splits? He played and sat him against the wrong armed pitcher.
  22. There's never 100% consensus on any trade. Everyone knows that. Plenty of people thought Gonzalez was wasted on not trying to use him to acquire a pitcher. mostly from all who thought he was a bust. People were still calling it Gonzalez for Thome when it was more about driving the price up on a 1st round talent like Prosek to be able to pay him in the 3rd round with the extra money that came with getting the comp pick. Then they come on here acting like oh can't wait to see how opinions flip with Adams and B. Smith as if they've never did that .
  23. The HI8is post had a link with an article so not only can't read you're blind https://www.purplerow.com/colorado-rockies-roster/77181/colorado-rockies-player-review-brenton-doyle-overcame-a-miserable-first-half-to-finish-with-a-positive-impact I clearly said that the 2nd half included Sept and a red hot August as part of the 2nd half resurgence that was part of the article that used the term "crushing it " to describe said 2nd half while you used Sept and all of 2026 and said you couldn't see that as crushing it. No one, not me nor the article you missed said anything about 2026. Your opinion would be valid had you not said you couldn't see how crushing it related to the time period you talked about because that wasn't the time period they used. You missed not only the article but apparently what I said about September being a part of that 56 game 2nd half of 2025 time period. I didn't even talk about 2026. All I talked about was how you created your own time period of suck and couldn't understand how that was "crushing it" when no one said 2026 and the previous September was "CRUSHING IT". You failed to see quite a bit except what you wanted to see. All anyone was saying is that as recently as a year ago he played pretty good for a 56 game stretch taken in aggregate That's not all that unusual for a lot of players when you separate seasons in halves even if the 2nd half is obviously shorter. The whole Sox team improved in the 2nd half last year with the arrival of more young talent which led me to think the advent of a more talented roster for 2026 would get the Sox 15 more wins. Looks like they will go beyond that. I didn't criticize your lonely F grade for the trade deadline because it very well could turn into an F. I gave it a C- myself but see potential for a solid B. I'm willing to see all sides. I'm not sure you are.
  24. According to Spotrac it's $78,250,000 for just 6 guys though but they're not counting Brozaban, Doyle and Bart. Hays has an $8 mutual option so likely minus that . So it's likely with who's here at the end of the season and a lot of guys pre Arb , might be looking at close to $100M. The 6 players are Castillo Murakami Benintendi Hicks Hays Kay
