  1. Welcome to the Hero Club Junior Perez and for SKrewball NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, Hey , Hey, Hey Goodbye !!
  2. 5 scoreless is pretty amazing so soon.
  3. Apparently the new theme for the Sox is STROKIN'. Mune was wearing a shirt with that on the front of it. Jokes to follow 🤣
  4. Colson Montgomery 1st season : 20th HR in 247th AB Colson Montgomery 2nd season : 20th HR in 254th AB He's the only player in history to hit 20 HR within his 1st 275 AB's in each of his 1st 2 seasons.
  5. Would be nice if Getz tried Ben Peoples. He's usually been very conservative about using minor league RP arms if they need a spot on the 40. However, if you can promote a good arm who can actually throw strikes and get hitters out you can help the team out without a trade for a RP.
  6. Burke great game helped his cause also picking Caballero off 2nd. Murakami will be 2nd on the Sox in HR as soon as Colson hits another 1. Don't forget to vote for you favorite White Sox players for the All Star game. https://www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot?affiliateID=asballot_mlb_article_2026
  7. Glad Junior Perez contributed by gunning down Volpe at 3rd base.
  8. Would like to be 10 games over .500 by the end of June and a healthy 3 games ahead of Cleveland.
  9. If you haven't had dinner yet. Eat Italian !! Like Tim Anderson used to do when his wife made him spaghetti .
  10. Another starter good on the road might work. Not the kind of thing you specifically look for but I'd be checking road splits on any SP you're serious about to trade for.
  11. Winner Winner. Italian for dinner !!
  12. A big Italian Grand Salami started by Signor Antonacci and finished by Signor Benintendi ! That's a spicy meatball !
  13. This is still an evolving and improving team filled with salvage prospects and projects. He can be good again. He just has to find what he had. He was trying to improve and it screwed him up. He can be good again .
  14. When the Sox actually start having some prospects come from the International Latin America players. Maybe then but until then with the possibility of Mune leaving you can't go crazy chasing dreams. I want them to make the playoffs because its important but not stupid important.
  15. It's pretty much a waste of time to show stats from such a small sample size. We've been spoiled because it seems like every major position player prospect that's come up has produced almost immediately. He's had his moments so far. He's been facing a lot of good pitching and the Yankees are throwing 2 LHP and Gerritt Cole who Bonemer lit up while Cole was rehabbing and then Cole hit him with a pitch likely on purpose. I hope we kick Cole's ass.
  16. Just spitballing here throwing out names for trade and names to trade if you're adding Bonemer to the mix. I don't care what happens to Breslow. He's going to be a busy guy at the deadline.
  17. If you are going to trade Bonemer I'd look at the Red Sox young MLB pitchers like Payton Tolle , Connelly Early Chapman will be their gun for hire. But 30 year old Garrett Whitlock could be had for relatively little. It would take a bit more to pry away Tolle or Early. Bonemer and.... ? Schultz ? McDougal ? Sandlin ? Hagen Smith ? If you're going to trade Bonemer it might as well be for immediate + future help. Just for immediate help Sonny Gray is also on the Red Sox and having a very good year and is a rental with a costly option. He's 36 and you worry that a good 1st half will not translate to a good 2nd half . He also has a strange contract where the cardinals are paying a lot and Boston then restructured the buyout to pay him less in 2026 but the buyout is $10M. It used to be $5M deferred for $1M per year for 5 years.
  18. No you don't rip the heart out of a team who is running on a lot of talent yes ,but talent with heart. You have to be very careful when what they have right now is intangible and messing with it then becomes tangible and shows up as losses. The French call it "je ne c'est quoi" which literally translates to "I don't know what ". In English, it is used to describe a pleasing, special quality about someone or something that makes them attractive or distinct, but is impossible to easily define or put into words.
  19. Here's another thing to keep in mind. The Crochet trade broke the Red Sox. Remember the big 3 who the Red Sox wouldn't give up Kristian Campbell, Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer ? Campbell tanked almost as soon as they extended him with a modest 8 years /$60M. He can't play defense. Anthony showed some signs of life but so far isn't even on par with Meidroth. Mayer is also struggling to find consistency. To add injury to insult Crochet pitched poorly and has missed time this year and is still out with left (throwing arm) shoulder imflammation after his phenomenal 1st year with the Red Sox. Some of the prospects can recover but not looking good currently. Crochets comments while injured also stirred up controversy. It's almost like he never left the White Sox of old for those who liked to stir the hornest's nest about medical mismanagement.
  20. Baldwin ? Not saying I'd replace Sam with Baldwin but that sounds like the kind of guy you're describing. I was hoping Baldwin could win a starting role in the OF this year but the injury screwed that up. At SoxFest if you remember Venable picked out Baldwin as a guy who could have a breakout year.
