Collins will get AB's eventually. I think the Sox are so impressed with McCann that part of Collins education as a catcher is definitely learning from McCann about preparation, game calling , little things to watch for with hitters that might tip a catcher off to what they are thinking. We really are concerned about the wrong thing. He will always get AB's but he may not always get the chance to work with a guy who is everything a catcher is supposed to be.

I think he's being objective. He brought stats into it that supported him , You brought fandom into it, which has nothing to do with an argument about who one may think is better. He's sticking to his argument , you are bringing emotion into it about his character.

Thank you. Unless you own it or have Netfliks you never see it anymore. It's not like the ABC's, CBS's or NBC's show movies anymore do they ? Maybe Turner bought the rights to many of them. Haven't seen it in a while .

I keep telling myself its just one of those things that poor front offices do . I try to forget it and then I watch the nightly baseball highlights show on MLB Network and Tatis,jr. does some great glove work , hits an oppo HR and I hear a Padres announcer yelling he is one of the best players he has ever seen in a Padres uniform. If the Sox rebuild does not produce a few playoff teams I might always think about what would 've been. And if they make the playoffs but don't win a World Series I'll probably think the same thing.

Not only do I remember Buddy Bradford, I have an autographed 1974 Topps baseball card of him. He is now 74 yrs old. The back of the card says Buddy owns and operates a rest home.

It is hard to believe. A week or 2 ago I was thinking the only thing better would be if he started hitting a few more homers and poof !, he started hitting more HR's. Not only that but his dramatic turnaround is giving people hope that Engel could someday turn it around.

Eloy has now hit a miles worth of HR's for the Sox. Sharing random useless thought here. A few months ago I remember joking about the Jetsons when someone called Eloy. Elroy. Now I want to call Eloy, Eloy Jettisson because he jettisons baseballs into the stands.

Ross Detwiler pitched 5 innings and held the Twins to 2 runs in his 1st start for the Sox, James McCann and Eloy Jimenez both hit 2 run Homers. Jose Abreu had 2 hits and an RBI. Colome picked up his 17th save. Anderson and Moncada were out with injuries. Timmy for 4-6 weeks.
