  1. 6.3/9 isn't that terrible he's averaging the same as he was in the NL.
  2. Ha all of a sudden Engel looking better than Cordell . Adam the Cat Engel , he of the 9 lives.
  3. I have argued in the past I don't like NL pitchers and hitters so I was hoping for the best and I still am hoping he has some positive regression. Obviously doesn't look good now but there's really been nothing in the last 3 years to indicate he'd be this bad. Basically all he was doing was replacing SHields and I did expect a Shields like year without the all walks. I'm not always right but I'm not wrong yet until we see how the rest of his year goes. If he lasts a whole year
  4. A 4-5 ERA for a 4th starter is pretty average in the AL. Remember they wanted a healthy guy to throw strikes and eat innings . Weren't a whole of those guys out there for a year. There were plenty of injured pitchers from last year they could've signed for less but then you're starting the season with 2 guys or even 3 guys say if you signed Pomeranz and Miley who were injured and Rodon and a guy who was the worst starter in baseball last year in Giolito. That leaves you Lopez Banuelos Fulmer Covey to cover for 2/3 starters coming off injuries. Not exactly a lot of depth and also an injury prone staff.. It's still a rebuild year when all is said and done
  5. Eh 1 year $10M or w/e it was for a guy to throw strikes and eat innings for a year in a rebuild is OK. Hahn was fairly sure he'd stay healthy and have a 4-5 ERA when all was said and done based on his track record. It's not like he was looking for a stud.
  6. I'm sure he didn't think it was a great idea. All they got him for was to fill a certain role until more guys were ready. But you know that already.
  7. Well if the big boys can't win it for us maybe the little guys can get something going.
  8. You won't wait a month if Moncada goes 5 for his next 10 you'll be singing his praises. You are like an emotional yo-yo.
  9. He actually did tone it down and he said was sorry.
  10. AT least only gave up a run despite all the issues the last few innings. 3.1 inning for the BP so far only 1 run. WHIP sucks but ERA decent. 7 th 8th and 9th are SOx good hitting innings this season so far.
  11. Need a DP desperately. Playing w/ fire the last few innings.
  12. He probably would've bit his head off if he did.
  13. I think I would've liked to see Marshall keep going . He did breeze through 4 straight batters. But maybe they only were using him for 1 inning in Charlotte.
  14. So far 25 pitches 12 strikes for Fulmer, No control no command.
  15. Jam Rickerd Carson can't keep going down and away every pitch
  16. Well there's my answer to can Marshall go more than 2 innings.
  17. Guess not . That pitch was in his happy place too.
  18. Can Marshall go more than 2 innings ? How was he being used at Charlotte ?
  19. I'd like to see Rodon average less than 15-20 pitches per inning pitched for a few starts in a row.
