  1. JD Martinez is the guy I've been comparing Eloy to in a few posts. And give credit to Lillian since she mentioned 1st base or DH eventually for Eloy way before this writer did.
  2. Wait if I use your figures that's 4.79 runs per game and 4.84 against. A minor difference but shorts the Sox a bit.
  3. Lopez has some bulldog in him. Started off throwing 91 and getting some hard hit balls for outs then revved it up to 97 in his final few innings. Loved seeing the curve tonight , Sometimes a pitcher just has too many pitches. His main 3 shoulder be FB, curve , changeup. occasionally a slider to keep them off his fastball. Ryan MaMarre hero of the offense with all 4 RBI with 2 doubles and a HR with one the the doubles and the HR both going to RF. The guy looks like he knows how to hit and reminds me of TCQ with his dark hair and heavy beard . Too bad he's nearly 30 .
  4. I mead the same joke weeks ago then got the Headly LaMarre Blazing Saddlles joke back from Heads I think. Not just millenials I'm old and I wasn't around when Hedy Lamar was a famous actress
  5. This seems to be one of those threads where if you didn't know the score you'd assume by reading the posts that Lopez was giving up a ton of runs instead of having a 1 hitter through 4 with no walks and 4 k's.
  6. He's done well with the Sox probably better than Cordell would have . I know Cordell could be potentially be worth more being younger but it hardly makes a difference at this point.
  7. Thanks not bad yourself though I'm more familiar with SOS by ABBA I posted a few more musical ones. When Minaya was brought in I asked Why Why Why Minaya as a tribute/parody to the old Tom Jones song Why Why Why Delilah and when Betances came in I said we get Betances and the Yanks get God Only Knows (old Beach Boys song). I had another one ready to go when Gardner led off with a triple and then SHields got 2 straight pop outs and I thought he'd get out of the inning but then gave up the HR. I even had it all typed up and ready to go, You Don't Mess Around with Jim , the old JIm Croce song but I had to scratch it once he gave up the HR . Oh i just remembered when the Sox were leading I said I know I said let there be light but I didn''t expect to be Blinded BY The Light ( The hit song by Manfred Mann's Earth Band written by Springsteen and Lil Wayne sampled the Manfred Mann version for his version.
  8. I think maybe he posted that after the HR if not yea good call.
  9. So who's going to ht the walk off HR for the Yanks ?
  10. We get Betances now. Yankees get God Only Knows ( Beach Boys)
  11. Exactly what I asked .a few posts before yours only in a musical way.The only answer is Renteria
  12. He's been pitching better lately but he did pitch 1.2 last night so hence the question Why why why ?
  13. Why Why Why Minaya ..sung to the old Tom Jones song why why why Delilah
  14. Now I feel better with Shields out of there. No need to let him face a lefty with that short porch and tendency to lose it very quickly once it starts.
  15. Im afraid it might be tied up very shortly.
  16. Damn I jinxed Shields by preparing a post that anticipated him getting out of the inning unscored upon after the 2nd popout
  17. LOL its Revved up like a deuce Another runner in the night but nice catch on the song lyric.
  18. I'm dumbfounded and I wrote let there be light . I didn't expect to be blinded by the light.
