  1. if he hits around .333 or so I'm not that concerned about his home runs. He's the table setter....
  2. Yes it should. Great post...
  3. I think hope is more like it rather than confidence. IF he can put the injury bug behind him...I don't think it's out of the question.
  4. great stuff....thanks for the recap. — Sox are building a ridiculous bullpen that will help them win games but also acquiring other talent at some point. — Interesting he even acknowledged Moncada moving exclusively to LH. — Arenado or bust for me. Meh to Machado and Harper...don't want that circus in town. — Bryce Bush...I must have been sleeping when this happened...but a really nice unexpected boon. MSU must be a little disappointed.

I think I'd cut bait with Davidson this offseason. He's as good as he's ever going to get. Sox can do better. Unless you start cutting some of this dead weight like Davidson...things won't change. I like Davidson...but I've seen enough of him in a Sox uni.
  6. It's my understanding from a friend of mine who's a huge Cards fan that Pham has a degenerative eye disease too that's only going to get worse. I have no idea whether that's true or not...but he claims it is.
  7. kinda different when you're part of a franchise that actually wins...and has the backing of an entire city that fills the ball park every night. I'm sure that changes the way you feel showing up for work every day. I do agree they both probably didn't help shit...and why they're gone. Water under the bridge at this point....
  8. Agreed. Also...Sale is still a blown arm away from Bosox fans going ballistic what they gave up for him.
  9. this is one of those seasons is more like it. So much dead weight mediocre crap on this team...
  10. yeah...that's why I'm not really sweating this train wreck.
  11. I'm not talking about that play specifically. I'm talking about the culmination of a number of his brain farts. He's good...he knows it....everybody's told him. Maybe it just comes so easy to him he seems like he doesn't have to put in the effort. Personally...those kind of players aren't my faves....
  12. yeah...I'm to the point when Madrigal is ready it's going to be pretty much "Yoan...sorry dude...take your pick 3B or OF". I've been a patient and a huge backer of Yoan...but I'm getting pretty sick of his lackadaisical bullshit.
  13. should make Soxfest interesting to say the least....
  14. what's even more maddening...is they (front office) won't do shit about it.
  15. If it pisses off said player and sours him on the franchise...I'd say it's permanent. I keep going back and forth on this. I really do understand that extra year of control thing...I get it. You don't want to lose you star player early. Which is why you should probably do everything in your power to keep said star player happy...which honestly means bringing him up.
  16. nor should they. personally if they're going to throw a ton of quiche at somebody...I MUCH rather it be at Arenado.
  17. Not sure what to tell ya if you don't think Eloy is "developmentally ready" at this moment. Good lord...he'd probably instantly become the best hitter in the lineup. I get the service time thing. But both of these guys are ready. Kopech is just as ready as Giolito and Lopez were.
  18. it is what it is right now in terms of the CBA...but in regards to bringing up Eloy of Kopech right now I'm of the opinion: Extra year of control > our self satisfaction for a few months
  19. yeah...hard to believe there's not anything better in Charlotte. Dude needs to go...but he is good in terms of tankage.
  20. agreed. Also...I've always wondered why baseball doesn't include draft picks in trades? In terms of a trade with Seattle...it's probably the most valuable assets they have.
