Clement is a guy who has struggled in big spots in the past so that could manifest itself today, asthma issues aside

Yeah you know Ozzie isn't tight so that could rub off on the players. Millar in the lineup against our righty? Yes -

LETS GO WHITE SOX! Only two hours, gettng pumped. I hope Josse is ale to stay calmer than me! -
great young pitcher but even Randy Johnson struggles against St. Louis. I agree that the Pads need todays game. THey have that great bullpen but they have to put them in a position to help

Thanks for the well wishes, I would root for the Tribe over the hated East teams too. I hope you guys can keep Millwood, he's a big part of you guys moving on to the playoffs next year

Watching Albert is like goign back in a time machine to 1994 and watching the big man play for us. very similar

redandwhite, it'd probably be best for everyone if you took a walk for about a week. We don't take kindly to you Tea-partiers round these parts!

An exciting Cards game will bide the time. Peavy versus the best team in baseball (sorry) is pretty enticing for an undercard! -
Guess who's throwing out the first pitch?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to fathom's topic in Pale Hose Talk
B-Mac needs the share, he's a po folk just like us (well nto really). Franks also deserves and will unquestionable get a full share although I bet he'd spend it on a party for the team if we do well -
Well pitching and defense are two-thirds of it. I never got that addage. Offense is just as important as the other two. The Red Sox sure scored a lot of runs in the ALCS last year. Anaheim outslugged the Yanks in 02. They are still just baseball games, however magnified, the same things that win them in April win them in October.

It didn'thit me until I thought about playing hookie and then I realized the magnitude of tomorrow. This has been a strange year with being at school during a pennant race and this being a White Sox team that I've liked less than the last few years. I think that I will continue to come around on them if we can beat the hated Sawx and Yanks. I was disappointed with having to play boston but you can't win the world series by beating a couple of stiffs and the Padres. If we want to be the man, we gotta beat the man. Bring on the AL East teams and let's prove something

Are you playing hookie tomorrow
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Yep. I told both my jobs that I have to be at the other. Ain't I a stinka? I remember in 2000 down at SIU, I skipped 3 classes for Game 1 but had to go to my night class as the game went to the 9th. I set my VCR and went. I sat there for five minutes and couldn't. So I left and by the time I got back it was over and rewound the tape to watch Martines and Olerud go back to back. AFter the sweep, I went to the liquor store and drank a bottle of Martini & Rossi. I was at Bubs in Champaign during that great game (sarcasm). That was before it became Station -

Is David Lee as good as the buzz or has he been inflated so the Bulls will ite on him instead of Sweetney. Is this Knick spin? -

Ace on half the teams? Eh. I don't think thats true but he's certainly been outstanding lately. Aces step up in big games so maybe he'll prove that tomorrow. -

I have a full and important couple of days the next few but , what the hell. If I were a Yankee or Sawx fan it'd be different but its not like this is an annual October occurrence for us. Plus, after this week there needs not be any more hookie if we move on with night games. -
Early Look At Your Team's Draft Class
Punch and Judy Garland replied to AddisonStSox's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Dominique Foxworth and Darrent Williams have been pretty good for the Broncos. Williams has been a big spark on improved special teams and they helped out without Bailey yesterday. A big part of this draft class was stealing Washingtons number one for next year which I hoped would net Matt Leinart. Unfortunately, Mark Brunell bouncedback and the pick will likely be mid to late. -
Curry Traded

I was a HUGE Knick fan during their most recent heydey against Jordan's Bulls. I left them though after Ewing retired. Anyways, strapped in cap hell the Knicks might as well roll the dice that Eddy Curry can become a superstar. I do the trade if I were them, of course they put themselves into their current situation due to stupidity. -

If you are a Knick fan, you probably should be excited. This is a trade that gives them upside, wheras they have little else to be excited about -

Gordon for Starbury would set this franchise back a ways. I agree that there is nothing wrong with being aggressive as this team cannot win a Finals game as presently comprised (they could get far I guess based on matchups in a weak East). I really like Sweetney but clearly this closes theh chapter on the Brand deal which turned out to be a very poor one (even factoring in money saved). Trading Gordon isn't a terrible idea depending on what you get in return with the Bulls tweener guards. However, trading Gordon to the Knicks would be a disaster given that they have nothing you'd want back. -

It seems, going by espn, the Angels and Astros are the en vogue picks right now. I understand those picks by and large. That said, I am skipping my classes and work shift tomorrow and I am getting playoff fever. I had classs suring the 00 ALDS and with all the daygames it was over before I knew it. I think we are going to play really competitive. Tomorrow sets the tone and lets us know if Contreras is a mirage or the real deal. -

Black Jack would be really good as would Torborg. He knows his stuff. Not sure if he'd want to take the job-I have no idea what kind of money the Score wants to offer -
Isn't it funny that Boston's Bill Simmons says that Ortiz is the MVP but Steve Nash was a racially motivated MVP because he doesn't play defense? Sounds like a double-standard there.

One hting, don't be stunned if this trade is rescinded (sp?). Now, there won't be a dna test but Curry will get a rather rigorous physical from the Knicks so I wouldn't be stunned if this trade comes back on Thursday or Friday. In my opinion, Curry did the right hting for himself by refusing the DNA test but the Bulls will be happy with Sweetney. -
Yanks angry at Showalter for pulling stars vs. Ang

A-rod and Showalter hate each other. That is what this is really about
