  1. Most of it was from interviews you have already seen( Ozzie, Joey and Kong) and a few new clips (Hawk and Omar Vizquel). Hawk was shillin' like a villain as always
  2. I went with Dye just because he might play in ore games this series. Both have been just brutal. I guess Texas is mildly luckier that they have him for one year while we have Jermaine Jackson for two years
  3. Tonight's key stat for me: Orlando's innings. 5-we lose, 6 is a pick 'em, 7 or more is a Whtie Sox winner
  4. Let's hit the ball out of the Ho Park tonight. He's been decent this year but not good lately so we better swing the damn bats tonight
  5. Why did they post his e-mail? I hope it's a "public" one and not one he uses to talk with his friends and family with. I don't get it
  6. I don't think there is much difference in what was asked of him, I just think he made a change in his own mind when he came here. In addition, Ozzie might be more intimidating than Ned Yost (I don't actualyl know that) so Pods listens better now. THat or its just a change of scenery that has made him more cooperative
  7. His increase in homers at the big league level has been interesting (11 last year). I think that if he continues to bat in the 3rd spot or out of the leadoff spot that he will continue to develop his power game. He won't have Beltran power but I think a 20-50 player is a reasonable expectation for his prime.
  8. Crawford will eventually hit 20 homers. He has that kind of power potential. Carl obviously could stand to improve his plate discipline a bit but I think he clearly has time to do so at 23. I didn't mean to say that Pods isn't a great leadoff man but Crawford has that rare combination of tools ala Rickey.
  9. I'd take Crawford. Better in the field and he has much mroe power. He will probably only get 40 bags hitting third though. Interesting that givne the disparity in steals and walks that he has scored more runs than Scott.
  10. I don't know how Francona could possibly take 3 2B. We know Sori will win the vote because he was a Yankee and he blows people away in name recognition and we know that Bip Roberts will have to be selected. I see Gooch squeezed out because his only dominant stat is BA. Not that he isn't playing really well, but there just aren't enough spots to go around. We have to have at least 3 given our record and we know that the Yanks will have many voted in. Francono owes it to his boys to take a bunch as rewards and the O's deserve may players too. THat doesn't even cover the one per team. I'd be stisfied with 3 right now given all that
  11. I worry that this is JR's spin to resign him and discourage other teams from offering that not quite max contract
  12. I struggle to see hoe Hernadez possibly deserves to go to the ASG. I would definitely take Herm and Buehrle over him. We won't have one player voted on, they will all be picked by the manager so it's hard to imagine us getting much more than Herm-Mark-Jon.
  13. Goofy zone tonight. Wasn't consistent on either side and all you cna ask for is consistency. I think Buehrle will go to the ASG but the better question is if Hermanson will get consideration. I guess it depends on how long the streak lasts since his save number will be solid but not league leading when it comes time to select. If it were up to me, I'd take Garland-Hermanson-Buehrle for the game at this very moment and likely snub Pods (usual crowded OF) but I'd give Gooch a long look though Sori will win the fan vote. The one thing that can hurt Herm and Buehlre is not having too many sox but having too many sox pitchrs. It could be hard to get three on a staff
  14. Does having Jermaine Dye really help our offfseason after all?
  15. I can't fathom trying to pitch to a middle of the order with Manny-Ortiz-Pujols-Tejada. Wow.
  16. I think he'd consider Torre. I bet he picks Ozzie and either Scocia (sp?) or Gardy though
  17. Dye would be hard to move with that deal including next year. You'd have to take a bad contract back which we don't do, or give away top prospects which we sometimes do. I like the idea of brining in Chaco but I fear that he's another OClorado guy who won't be "right" until a full year out of there.
  18. the website lists it as Ed Farmer, AJ, and Judy. I'd want to go but figure that they'd only sign the licenses. Stuck with finals anyways
  19. I would bet against Barry participation. He'll claim knee issues that will keep him out. He can't play every day anyways.
  20. Weren't we in on Jennings last year in some rumors? Could be an attractive 6th starter option if the price is right. I imagine it wouldn't be though
  21. call me shortsighted but I'd sure like to see Garland pitch against the Cubs if we can swing it
  22. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:13 PM) If Jon Garland continues to pitch like this the whole year... ...he'll be 35 - 0. kinda hard to keep him off if he does that
  23. Depending on who selects it, you can book Dontrelle over Buehrle . Marketing.
  24. Recall that when he announced his retirement with the Yanbkees it largely had to do with him pitching for Team USA in 04. THen they didn't qualify so he came back
  25. I would say no. THe American team is stakced. You can mark Clemens down and I would still have to put guys like Sheets, Oswalt, Peavy, Willis, etc. ahead of him
